La Grande Cascade Paris Reviews from The Last Year
Amazing
A place where you can say that everything is perfect. Ancient hunting lodge of Napoleon III, you can breathe this regal atmosphere... the place is spectacular and the very kind staff even took me to visit the part closed to the public... Divine dinner, perfect wines, unique atmosphere and very kind and helpful staff and the place is wonderful immersed in the Bois de Boulogne... illuminated it is a wonderful vision... one of the most beautiful and good restaurants in all of Paris
Outstanding
Yesterday evening I had the opportunity to enjoy a most remarkable dinner. The table offered undeniable excellence, while the service stood out for its impeccability. The choice of wines, of exquisite quality, was most judicious, and the welcome we received was most warm.
French luxury
What a pleasure to rediscover French luxury!!!! Sumptuous setting, impeccable service, and what a dinner!!!! Impressive prawns, sweetbreads with its very delicate sauce, and to finish a perfect Grand Marnier soufflé. The sommelier offered us a condrieu that went perfectly with everything. We found that the value for money was very reasonable and we should not have been the only ones given the number of guests there. I won't wait until my next birthday to go back!!!
The starred institution for lifelong memories!
A real institution that is always more than up to the task. The service is perfect, very fair. The seven-step menu of great finesse, we enjoyed it.
Birthday at the Grande Cascade
Beautiful area. Very nice home. Excellent meal. We were able to celebrate a very pleasant birthday in ideal conditions. We will do it again
A very nice Michelin star
Excellent table, perfect service. Very good choice of wines, the quality/price ratio is very reasonable considering the service.
Poor experience
Terrible experience. Poor food quality (chewy gambas, sole and prawns) and average service especially considering the price! I wouldn’t recommend!
One word: Thank you
Loyal to this establishment, I have never been disappointed. Everything is perfect! The customer is the center of all attention from the valet, to the Maitre d’Hotel, through the receptionists, the waiters…. What professionalism! What flavor in the dishes signed by the historic chef of the Grande Cascade, Frédéric Rober! How many smiles are there and how pleasant the little words are! Well done! Well done! Well done!
Average this time
I went there with a friend who loves Paris and history. So I surprised him by going to this restaurant. This time, I will say that it was really worse than the last time. For starters, there was no valet parking. I find this a shame for a Saturday evening, and above all it is not reported anywhere. The room is still as magnificent as the last time I was there. We took the 7-step menu, and the maître d' advised us to do it with food and wine pairing, and we followed his advice. Honestly, nothing to say about the Maitre d'hôtel, and the room service, they are very professional. On the other hand, the sommelier, I would say average. Average because in everything is everything, he only served us 2 glasses of different wine for the whole menu (1 white and 1 red), knowing that the glass of champagne which was served to us, served us both aperitif and wine for the first starter. The other downside, there was a deserted one right in front of our table, which was used for the bottles of wine, the bottles of water from the other tables, and my friend and I heard the sommelier say to his colleague who delicately moved a bottle that he was playing out his career. Indeed he served an excellent bottle of wine to another table. When we were at dessert we didn't have any more glasses of wine. And when the sommelier had to leave, he greeted 2 tables where he mainly worked, because they brought out excellent bottles. So for the moment I don't know yet if I will go back, although the place is magnificent.

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
