We keep coming back to this place, not only for the amazing food, but also to meet the amazing people who runs it. They both have a lot of knowledge and creativity when it comes to food and wine, and they keep surprising us year after year. I can’t think of a better place to spend my evening when I’m in Monaco. Always looking forward to these visits. Thank you both for making memories for and with us.
A Hidden Gem Near the Palace – and in Our Hearts
There’s perfection - and then there’s La Montgolfière, an idyllic little restaurant tucked away on a fairytale pedestrian street near the Prince’s Palace. This charming spot is owned and run by a wonderful couple who create truly magical moments through their food and genuine love for their guests. We had a melon salad - simple in name but an absolute burst of flavor - and an octopus risotto that instantly brought back memories of coastal French villages, sleepy fishing harbors, and the pure joy of honest food. If you’d like, the owner is happy to recommend wines, many of them local. We chose a French rosé that was topped up the moment our glasses ran dry. La Montgolfière is for anyone who loves food and is looking for something more soulful than a greasy pizza or forgettable calories. Here, every indulgence is made with love, and the food settles around your heart like a soft embrace. We’ll absolutely be back next time we’re in Monaco.

Henri and his wife are very hospitable hosts. We could not have imagined a more wonderful meal. I had the tagliolini (delicious) as a starter, then moved on to the black cod (amazing!). After that, we indulged in the cheese course, an offering of cheeses that were infused with truffle or had a sort of truffle paste on top—scrumptious! And finally, the arc-en-ciel for dessert was a total hit. Overall, I would highly recommend La Montgolfière to family and friends. Make sure to make your reservations in advance so as not to miss this marvelous restaurant!
Horrible visit, not recommended!!!
They don’t let you use their bathroom even if you are a customer. I don’t understand why they are recommended as the food was nothing special. There are more friendly and much better places in Monaco!
The best!!!
Full flavor, amazing food and people! I have a very sensitive smell and taste for food. From the red wine to the tomatoes/onion/bread to the gnocchi to the crème brûlée to the Japanese appertif, the smell and taste of this restaurant’s food was the best full flavor food experience. Fabien was a very wonderful host of Henri’s food. She created the warm, welcoming ambiance for the full, flavor food that Henri created. Merci beaucoup, Fabien and Henri!
The best dinner in Monaco
We had dinner here on Saturday, 3 February on a weekend break from our hometown, Amsterdam. This was such a wonderful evening. The food was fabulous. Nice good portions and delicious flavors. Henri and Fabienne took such good care of us, it was like visiting friends. The ambience was cozy and the location in the old town is charming. Highly, highly recommended.
A family pearl in Monacò
This is the first review I've done on trip. But this restaurant really deserves it. I ate here during a one night stay in Munich based on the excellent reviews. Well I have to say, 100% confirmed. The food is excellent, and there was no doubt about this, but the place presents itself very well: well-kept and refined. The two-person management of the restaurant makes attention to the customer a must. The lady who helped us with the orders was very kind, explaining the dishes and advising us on the route which turned out to be extraordinarily spot on. We will definitely be back!!
Best restaurant and best meal for our trip
We can highly recommend this restaurant.The flavors are excellent. We had the best dessert ever with Espelette spicies. So great.Reserve before you go.We will try to get back for a tartar aux thon... Many thanks 🥰
Wonderful time
I had a wonderful time here. Me and my classmates were on a trip and had the pleasure to have lunch here. I got gnocchi with mushrooms and it was really good. The lava cake was incredible and had intense flavor. We had a great time and I would definitely go back again.
Best food in Monaco
This was the best part of my trip to monaco! The owners are phenomenal human beings and i was happy to have the pleasure of meeting them. The food was exquisite and every taste was savored. I need the recipe for the salad you gave us.. if my salads tasted like that i would eat them everyday
Best Duck in Monaco! 🇲🇨
We had a fabulous dinner with Henri and his lovely wife at La Montgolfière to celebrate our wedding engagement in Monaco. The 4 course menu was delicious, the duck in particular was the best we have ever had and the intimate, authentic setting in Monaco-Ville is a refreshing change from some of the more pretentious Michelin star restaurants in the city. I would thoroughly recommend visiting La Montgolfiere and will go again when I am next visiting the principality. Merci pour l’expérience!
Fantastic dinner & Great service
We were met by co-owner Fabienne as she showed us to our table. She introduced us to the chief. We opted to go with the three course meal. OMG 1st corse were scallops cut very thin on a bed of olive oil topped with caviar this dish melted in your mouth 2nd corse was a Black Sea bass cooked with different spices on a magnolia leaf again melted in your mouth and delivered to the table by the chief. It’s funny my wife does not eat big portions and both Fabienne and Henri were concerned she didn’t like the food but we explained it wasn’t the food it was the portion. Than came the 3rd corse we had a rum cake and a chocolate melting cake with raspberry sorbet and Chantilly cream. This meal was off the chart and service was impeccable. Fabienne and Henri helped make this a great experience. Highly recommend trying this restaurant.
What a great dinner
Innovative menu, so delicious food and great atmosphere almost family regarded to kindness of waitress and chef, they surprised me with a birthday candle when they heard about 🎂, not so expensive really above value for money

Lovely, delicious restaurant with fantastic service. We stumbled across this cozy little restaurant online while researching places to eat in Monaco. It’s located near the palace in old town. It’s warm and inviting with eclectic decor, with only enough seating for 14 inside. They accommodated the menu for vegetarian options. Overall it was an absolutely fantastic meal! Fabienne and Henri run a fabulous restaurant and are very friendly. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Montecarlo.

* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FamousStation67, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* FamousStation67 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FamousStation67 for any questions Peter may have as FamousStation67 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FamousStation67 now uses their connections at La Montgolfière, Henri Geraci Monaco to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FamousStation67 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FamousStation67 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FamousStation67's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at La Montgolfière, Henri Geraci Monaco!
