First time in Amsterdam
Two tired americans after 9 days of travel stopped into LaNostra Gigi and met Pien Jannssen who was most gracious in helping me find a gluten free option that was delicious !! She was very courteous and helpful I would recommend stopping in and asking for her !

lousy service, lack of professional education
Really disappointed with the staff assistance. They made us wait 30 minutes at the table for drinks. the girl at the front desk was very rude and unprofessional. We got up and left the restaurant. We do not recommend it at all.

Small, delightful Italian restaurant with delicious dishes using fresh ingredients. Despite being busy the service was very good. I had no reservation but they squeezed me in.
We visited casa nostra on our last.
evening in Amsterdam. We craved Italian food and all the reviews were mostly positive. They serve dishes from Puglia region of Italy. There is the head server that seems to be the owner and two servers that run the whole place. Menu is fairly smal but all the dishes sound good. We ordered the mixed appetizers for two that comes with mortadella, mozzarella and tomato, a piece of eggplant parmigiana and some zucchini and eggplants. It goes for 30e. We thought it wasn't worth it and the best last of the dish was the eggplant parmigiana which was only a small piece. We ordered two pasta dishes and a pizza. They all tasted great and were Of high quality. Has primitivo wine from Puglia and birra Moretti which they have on tap. Service was kind of slow so once we asked for appetizers and waited 5 mins for the menus, decided to leave. All in all a solid 4 star.

Manuel was extremely accommodating, we couldn't make a reservation on trip advisor for 2 days, but we went there anyway we did have a back up plan but didn't need it as they sat us right away! We started with the caprese salad and the tomatoes were sweet and amazing then I had the spade (swordfish) cooked in a wonderful broth with Kalamata olives and the sweet tomatoes. They substituted the potatoes for a salad for me, my husband had the orecchiette with pork and a wonderful sauce, we then shared the taramisu that was creamy and different from any we have ever had! We are very selective with our food and this place will not disappoint, get the teramisu no matter how full you are, it's worth it!

We booked this place because of their high reviews on google for their pizza. When we went there we were told that they were out of pizza. It was only 8:30pm and their menu selection without the pizza was very limited. 3 of us ended up getting the same meal. Very average food, the place was packed so service was slower. However, the atmosphere was intimate and nice which is why I am giving it two stars. But save your money and pick an Italian restaurant that doesn't run out of pizza at 8:30pm
