Food was ok, attitude was bad
We came in for early dinner. the restaurant is big and very empty. just few tables were occupied. So honestly I was really surprised when they sorted us next to the occupied table . and keep in mind the tables are so close to each other, so you are basically touch elbows with your neighbouring table. meanwhile the tables around us were empty. we asked to give us another table, and in response we heard- โ Please seat hereโ. I didnโt like that at all! The waiter was nice and polite, they brought our food pretty fast. We ordered some appetisers, which were good, and some pasta and Branzino filet . The filet was ok, but the spinach was so disgusting. Horrible. Like some sort of slime.

Fancy looking Italian restaurant that falls short of its looks to present a bland menu full of deja vu plates. I ordered an appetiser of roosted cauliflower which came too cold to be enjoyable, besides the fact that the portion was way too big to be an entrรฉe. It killed my appetite for a pasta pommodoro that was OK but I was just too full to eat it with gusto. Correct service. Prices are what is expected in NY.
Be the first to ReplyGreat italian for lunch!
I head to one of the Pecora Bianca locations around the city for dinner every few weeks or so. This was my first time visiting this location and it was my first time going for lunch. The staff was very warm and welcoming. My father and I had an excellent lunch. He had the pre-fixe menu and I tried the burger for the first time. It was perfectly cooked medium but I didn't enjoy the fries much. Just my preference. Not a huge fan. The appetizers and my fathers pasta were excellent. Pecora has one of my favorite bolognese's in the city. I will definitely visit again.

We were recommended this restaurant by friends and weโre not disappointed! We have two daughters, ages 9 & 11. We spent the day in the city and were staying at an apartment a few blocks away from the UES location. We started with zuchinni fries, fried calamari/shrimp and shaved Brussels sprouts salad. All were great and very tasty. They also came out quite quickly. The only negative thing I can say about the starters were that most of the fried calamari/shrimp dish were onions and potatoes. They were delicious but we only got two shrimp pieces. Would have liked more seafood for the price. For a main we got Rigatoni with Bolognese for the girls to split. They were happy to switch to the rigatoni for the kids. I got the sausage and broccolini pasta with pesto- it was delicious. My husband got the bronzino. It was all delicious! We opted out of dessert- we had our sights on Anita Gelato across the way and it was amazing! Also got a dessert crepe down the road that was expensive but tasty.
Be the first to ReplyNice restaurant, helpful staff, good food! And also Gluten Free!
We had lunch in this restaurant with my family (two adults, one of whom has celiac disease and two teenagers/children) and we were fully satisfied! The Pasta is really good, cooked al dente and gives the impression of not being industrially produced. Excellent tagliatelle with meat sauce and spaghetti with tomato sauce. The excellent and fast service, the prices not cheap but in line with New York City standards... unfortunately... To be commended is the service dedicated to my celiac wife, who ate some pasta that completely satisfied her. PS. If you eat inside, watch out for the air conditioning... Polar temperatures...
Be the first to ReplyVery good!!
I happen to be in a bus right now going to work at a sleep away camp in the middle of nowhere!! I was in the city all week and so it is very crazy that Iโm now going to be in the woods and if I grow a ton of hair all over and get three feet taller someone may thing I am Bigfoot!! I am going to be turning 20 in four days and Iโll be at the camp and so we had to celebrate early and so we went last night!! We made a reservation and ate outside with our little poodle!! The waitress was from Ireland and her accent reminded me of Barry Keoghan if it was a ladyโs voice!! I got the curly pasta with house-made sausage and broccoli and it was unbelievable!! Iโm a big fan of sausage pasta and it tasted exactly as it should!! The waitress has very good ears because she showed us the results from her audiology tests!! I am obviously joking and she overheard it was my early birthday and so they gave me free ice cream!! I didnโt have anything to complain about and it brought my joy!!

Our son used to live in Manhattan and now lives in Brooklyn picked La Pecora Bianca because it was near our hotel and he had been here numerous times previously. For starters we chose the Local Burrata with cherry tomatoes, basil pesto, and country toast, good choice. For mains, my wife selected the Scallops with summer squash, pine nuts, capers, golden raisins. She really enjoyed it. I opted for the Linguine Puttanesca with squid ink pasta, shrimp, and chili. Bursting with loads of flavors. All their pastas are made inhouse. We also had the Brussels Sprouts with rosemary honey, lemon, and chili flakes, great side dish. I truly recommend La Pecora Bianca with 3 locations in Manhattan for a memorable dining experience.

We had lunch here and were satisfied. The place was bright and airy. Service and food were very good. My squid ink linguine (pictured) certainly tasted a lot better than it looked. Recommended.

We were here for lunch and left 100% satisfied. We shared Calamari for an appetizer. Crispy, well seasoned perhaps a bit โlightโ in terms of quantity. For main courses; the Scallops were well prepared and presented, decadent. The Branzino was excellent. The two salads; Toscano with Chicken and Brussel Sprouts with Salmon were very good. Nice sized portions well presented. The Espresso was outstanding. Attentive service. Acoustics are not great. Will be back.
Be the first to ReplyProfessional , delicious and satisfying
These guys know what they are doing , professional and delicious food , probably the best cacio e pepe in NYC . The service was extremely professional and kind , the server ( I apologize for not remembering is name ) was amazing
Be the first to ReplyNoisy Space, Pretty Place
This restaurant has a lovely, airy feel but we ended up having to scream to hear each other. My friend's Apple watch vibrated a few times to warn of dangerous decibel level. The experience of dining seemed chaotic and forced. Our entrees came while we were still waiting our salad starters. Then the staff kept checking to see if everything was ok. Very annoying.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful food and service for our daughter's Bday!
I like everything about this place. the tables are not on top of each other, the service is excellent with water and wine topped off regularly. The food is very good. We will be back
Be the first to ReplyNice atmosphere...some issues with the dishes
Three people dining. Two main courses (a burger and a linguine), three first courses (autumn salad, fried calamari, faro salad), two glasses of wine (we wanted Peroni beer, but they had run out), one tiramisu (large enough for 4 people, only one ate)...$217 with tip. Dishes were pretty good, except the clam linguine; the clams were tough and I suspect were the cause of my stomach issues the next morning. Server was efficient and pleasant, atmosphere nice. You decide if this is a good value.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent burrata
We got a table despite no reservation, which is a sign of great service. The service was excellent all night long. The burrata for starter was nothing short of perfect. The pasta dishes were also very tasty ( should have been at least one spicy veggie dish though). The prosecco was amazing. I do understand why locals recommended this restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyPotentially Dangerous for Celiacs
I booked this restaurant as an anniversary meal for my wife who is gluten-intolerant. We ordered dishes based on the written ingredients as stated in the menu. The waiter also asked if either of us had any food allergens to which we replied yes, gluten. We were then surprised (to put it mildly) to find that when my wife's dishes arrived both contained additional ingredients not listed in the menu, both of which had gluten. Now my wife is just gluten-intolerant but if this had been given to somebody who was celiac this could have had very serious consequences for that individual. The establishment should ensure that a) their menus actually state all the ingredients in a dish and b) that their staff are trained to ensure that someone who states they have an intolerance of gluten is not then given food containing gluten. This is basic food safety.
Be the first to ReplyGreat lunch spot.
An unrushed lunch oasis near United Nations building and Midtown Manhattan. We happened upon it and were so pleasantly surprised. Italian is their cuisine; however, our lunch choices weren't typical "Italian"--brussels salad with salmon, strip steak and the burger. All were good. Service was impeccable! Loved the vibe. Our absolute favorite was the fried zucchini appetizer!
Be the first to ReplyAmazing pasta. Great service
There are waiters. And hosts. And thenโฆ.. there is STEPH FROM MIAMI!!!!!. the warmest, friendliest, most natural, most customer service oriented person you have ever met. She made our dinner super enjoyable. Gracious. Funny. Hospitable. She just โgets itโ. Will be the reason we return. Not to mention that the pasta was delicious. And overall level of staffing was great. Try the Black Manhattan cocktail too!
Be the first to ReplyLovely food and great decor!
This restaurant was a nice surprise! The food was delicious especially the burrata and the whipped ricotta cheese. The wine list is a little limited but it does pair well with the food. Service was great and our waiter was very polite and super helpful with recommendations.
Be the first to ReplyBright modern Italian
Roomy, bright modern Italian option in Midtown. Our server made sure my wife's food allergies were accommodated and our drinks were refilled. Crowded and can be loud so be ready to speak up while you dine. Great evening w/ my niece and her husband.
Be the first to ReplyGreat bar!
Great ambiance and service at the bar was awesome! Had some nice cocktails. Next time we will also try their cuisine. I recommend this place!
Be the first to ReplyAcceptable food experience, but organization problems
Our experience in this restaurant was mostly good, the food is great and once you order, you don't have to wait a long time. The only slight disappointment regarding the food is that the menu doesn't offer a lot of Italian dishes, and the only one is pasta.
Now my biggest problem is the restaurant's organization. We booked a table for 9 pm, for only 3 people. We got there at 8.55 pm and they told us to wait outside. We waited outside in the rain on our feet for more than 20 minutes, then we kindly got back in the restaurant and politely asked if we would be able to eat at some point, seeing we booked a table in advance.
A very rude staff member, probably the receptionist, told us impolitely to go wait outside without complaining, and that the restaurant was too full to give a table to everybody who had booked. Now I find it unacceptable that, even though we booked a table, we had to wait 25 minutes in the rain on our feet.
The rest of the experience was much better, I recommend the calamari and bucatini Cacio e Pepe, but I am slightly disappointed by the way they treat their clients who booked a table.
Very Good
Go for the bolognesa or the campanella.
The branzino is good too.
Decent wine menu but too high prices.
About three to four times the orices of a wine store
Great for brunch
We loved our brunch at La Pecora Bianca because everything was fresh, tasty and the atmosphere was great. I loved that I could actually see the staff preparing food (including handmade pasta) and cocktails in the open cooking space. Staff were all professional, nice and friendly. Mimosas were perfect. I will go back!
Be the first to ReplyNice brunch
We had quite nice brunch in this resto.
It was busy and noisy, and as usual they made us wait until everyone arrives (hate this rule in NYC). The receptionist was rude and unfriendly.
On the positive side:
- food was very good, i took kale salad with salmon and ricotta
- the waitress was super friendly and helpful, recommended good wine too
- i like overall atmosphere
So im planning to go for brunch again. But please do something with your moody receptionist.
