La Prosciutteria Milano Brera Reviews from The Last Year
Delicious!
A friend recommended this place and it was delicious. I had a cheese and veg board and my friend had cheese and meat board. The artichoke and sun dried tomato spreads were particularly good. Service was very and the atmosphere was really nice.
„ Orgasmo formaggi“
The place was busy on Sunday night, the waitresses took their time to attend to us and parts of our order went missing and never arrived or only at second request. The cold meat / cheese boards were delicious, unfortunately they were served with almost stale bread which is a no go in Italy or anywhere in the world. We had to ask for freshly baked focaccia which was charged for separately. Besides this we would still recommend the place
Fantastic nice place
Fantastic nice place. Super nice charcuterie tray with everything you could want. Waited for them to open for lunch for quite a while but definitely worth the wait.
Good food, slow and unfriendly staff
We went there for lunch for 7. First, on the door and online it says it's open from 11:30- not true. We came at 11:30, it was not open, the waiter saw us, and says nothing, not even hello, buongiorno, nothing. We didn't know when are they opening, we waited for half an hour, and then at 12:00 they finally opened, without a word, again. When we and other people finally sat down, we had to go to the counter to order food, and there is a huge line, so waiting about 15-20 min to order. We ordered the charcuterie board, and it was great! The meat and the cheeses were delicious, served with warm focaccia. It's ordered and payed per person. We ordered for six, and it was a lot, we struggled to eat it. So it's better to order for 2 people less than there is. We wanted to order some wine and water, went again to the counter, waited in line, ordered, and then sat back down. Waited for 15-20 min, so I went there again to ask, they forgot about our order. Not a single excuse for that. Overall, food is delicious, staff slow and unfriendly. We would probably go again, just not very hungry and prepared to wait about an hour.
Lovely food
Three stars is probably unfair but there isn’t an option between average and very good. Saw the reviews of this place and decided to try it. We had a platter for two and it was really lovely food and lots of it. The service was not great though. It seems you find a table and then order at the bar but this wasn’t obvious and the waiting staff seem to have perfected ignoring you when you try to ask for a table. Finally we got sorted and I went to order. I speak very basic Italian which usually is enough for ordering a meal. The guy at the till was impatient and grumpy. It wasn’t just me, he was like that with everyone as were all the staff I saw.
EMBARRASSING
No particular expectations but a bad start already at the reception! We booked for an aperitif but there was no table reserved for us so we sat inside! Once the order is placed, the drink arrives 15 minutes later. We ask for a wine and they bring us another! The dishes are starting to arrive! The 16 euro platter each for 3 people is embarrassing to say the least! A bit of salami, a bit of coppa, 4 pieces of cheese, 4 crostini with tomato sauce spread, 2 with beans (never seen it)! Not quality cold cuts! 4 pieces of focaccia paid separately. Too bad a dish never arrived! Obviously after an hour we decide to get up. Ah, Coca Cola served in a paper cup…. Wasted 120 euros. Never again!!!!
The best, The best, The BEST!
We had the most amazing experience here! Our server, Andre was incredible! The food, the ambiance, EVERYTHING was excellent! I highly recommend! I can't wait to come back!
plentiful
Very generous platter for 4 people price €15 per person + drinks we reached €35 with wine, water and cover charge. Maybe the price is a little higher overall
Really expensive
Too expensive, 38 euros for two aperitifs, but what can we say that hasn't been said? Think about it, we could do better, even though it is Milan, we see that the policy is aimed at pure profit rather than loyalty
Excessively expensive
Aperitif for 2 spent €39.80, including 2 "snacks" (served on a nice, large cutting board) and 2 glasses of red for the modest sum of €8 each (cost included in the €39.80). Average food quality, what we found really exaggerated is the cost.
Worth a visit
Great food selection, authentic feel. Good red wine. Had the platters, meats and cheeses. Charcuterie specials, loved the cheese and the honey
Too expensive
€9.50 for a glass of wine (Mirellino di Scanzano, but bottle not seen) is too high a price even in Milan on the canals. 4 glasses of wine 38 euros and focaccia 3 euros plus 1 euro "service" per person for an aperitif!!!!!
Perfect dunk
Excellent Tuscan Schiacciata. Excellent ingredients but above all the schiacciata is really soft and crunchy just right (without referring to the most vaunted one that is now in vogue around the world) even the absence of various sauces makes it better. The choice of dunks is not exaggerated, a few more options wouldn't be bad The only flaw, the place is really small to manage the queue at the counter and the passage of the poor waiters. With the outdoor area in the summer the situation improves
Horrible experience!! Not recommended
Horrible experience!! For lunch with friends we chose to have lunch here, after asking about the waiting time they let us sit without explaining that we would have to queue to order (same queue as for takeaway). After queuing for half an hour we ordered and many things on the menu were missing. After queuing for half an hour we waited more than an hour as they had lost our order. When we tried to ask why we were waiting they laughed in our faces. After our requests the food arrived at the table but some dishes were missing. When we reported this to the staff they were very rude and rude and continued to laugh in our faces. I wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy.
The silence of the hams
Pre-theatre aperitif on a weekday, we choose this place because it's not crowded and quiet. The environment is spartan but nice. We enter and no one greets us, they don't rush us at all; after a while a waitress, quite annoyed, gives us a table. Orders are made at the cash register: you go, pay and then someone will serve you. But you have to discover this for yourself. A few girls wander around the place, with or without a tray in hand, looking bored and annoyed. The cashier from whom we order the aperitif also has the same expression. I got a 'gourmet' platter for 15.90 and a glass of prosecco for 6 euros. Tiny glass, hot, low-carbon wine. The cutting board consists of a few slices of cold cuts with a few pieces of cheese on top, and in the center a spoonful of semi-pulped vegetables and pieces of fruit thrown in there, all mixed together. Nothing to accompany, I see some strips of focaccia on another table, maybe you have to pay. I don't feel like going back to the cash register, I ask for some bread and they bring me 2 slices, with the usual rudeness. Average quality of cured meats and cheeses (and thank goodness it was the gourmet platter! I imagine the other one). Barely edible raw ham, you expect something else from a ham shop in the center of Milan. Almost undrinkable wine. Last but not least, on the receipt they charge 1 euro per person for the service. Which service? I'm not saying a smile, but at least a bit of education and professionalism would be useful.
Meal for 2
Had the deluxe platter, was very happy great varied selection and friendly staff. Great couple meal out, drinks selection was good too
Food good, staff rude
Staff where incredibly rude. Didn’t help us at all with how to order, we waited 15 minutes to be seen to once sat down. Food however was nice
Different city, still wonderful!
Have been to the one in Firenze and this one was great as well. The service was very friendly even though they were busy and working extremely hard. The cheese, meat, bruscchetta and wine were delicious. Had a lovely time.
Stay away
Worst restaurant in Milan. South America staff. Bad quality food and hot bad quality red vine. Bad toilet (only one and long queue) Tourist trap only in it for the money. No love.
Great food and atmosphere
My boyfriend and I visit the place to have a glass of wine. However, the atmosphere, interior and a beginning hunger made us decide to eat early. We did not regret it. We got a Gourmet Cutting Board, which was really delicious with different cheeses, cold meats etc.
Brilliant food, wine and atmosphere
Really large portions with excellent meat and cheese selections! Lots of seating and a friendly atmosphere! Accessible facilities
Top
Excellent cured meats in a casual but at the same time super refined and typical place Highly recommended Super friendly and prepared staff
