Came for dinner and had an excellent dinner on a Friday
Came for dinner and had an excellent dinner on a Friday night. Used their valet service-very convenient and friendly valets. Hostess seated us immediately near the fireplace and our waiter was very attentive. He made great recommendations and we enjoyed arancini and meatballs. Portions were perfect and the dishes very flavorful. For entrees the pizzas did not disappoint, their pastas and pizza dough is made in house. Large portions and tasty. My Pappardelle Genovese had a flavor profile that tasted of fennel or anise, perhaps? The Tagliatelle Bolognese was equally delicious and a wonderful flavor. Highly recommend!

Beautiful restaurant tucked away on a side street between Hollywood Boulevard and Sunset. It is street parking only or valet, but my BF and I walked. The restaurant has an indoor area near the huge bar as well as an expansive courtyard outdoor area. We chose the outdoor seating and were glad we did since it was a little quieter than indoors, and you can see the pizza kitchen with the pizza oven. Courtyard was lovely with trees and the walls were covered with foliage. Our table, while small, had a mini accompanying table to hold our pizza. I'm glad they had that because we had no idea the pizzas were going to be massive, and I really mean, massive. They were almost the size of a Costco pizza. The crust was extremely thin and delicious, but it could have benefited from a little more thickness just to stay together better, but this just means the pizza was best eaten with a fork and knife. Service was good; I can't remember anything standing out unfortunately since we went a while ago. But the restaurant vibe was wonderful.
Be the first to ReplyLovely ambiance and time with my sister.
Servers were friendly. Margarita pizza was somehow both charred and way too thin, soggy/wet at the same time with not even a bit of basil on each piece. The beet salad had very few beets. I've been to Italy many times, my husband is a chef...maybe an off day in the kitchen? Not authentic as the server's recovery effort claimed. I'd much recommend la Parlacia Osteria instead.

Excellent food! The pizza, of course, salads, and cocktails - so good. Cute space too. The staff staff is very kind. Service can be a little slow when it's busy, but overall fantastic. Would definitely recommend.

Decided on Italian after the Paley Festival with Stephen Colbert, walking distance from Dolby Theater. Had a delectable dining experience and absolutely delightful date night. Tucked quietly away, you're greeted by a pleasant enough hostess. Service is attentive. I love eggplant so had to order the pasta alla norma. Such a flavorful and filling dish, with bursts of tomato and perfectly cooked eggplant nicely greeted by the parmigiano . My husband ordered the pizza diavola. I was worried he wouldn't enjoy it because he loves a thick crust, but the slightly spicy salame paired nicely with the light sauce and flavorful cheese that sat nicely on a thin crust and each slice was met with a smile. We enjoyed a nice north coast red ale and cappucino and loved each others company at this romantic spot.

Rather amazing Neapolitan style, pizzas, huge, 16 inches, with great service. The wine list is a little abbreviated.

Great food, amazing drinks, and friendly staff! L'Antica has become a favorite of mine over the last few months and I had never left a review until now. La Passione is my go to cocktail with the most tasty passionfruit. This place is seriously one of the few underrated spots in LA.

Delicious food, nice atmosphere, but located in a scary neighborhood. So if you make it from the car to the restaurant alive, you're in for a nice meal.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, always a good time.
Service is excellent and the atmosphere is a nice experience
Be the first to ReplyExcellent service, beautiful build, stunning patio.
Pizza was perfection, as was every other dish we ordered. Will be back again and again and again.
Be the first to ReplyL'Antica Pizzeria Da Michele is an unassuming looking
L'Antica Pizzeria Da Michele is an unassuming looking restaurant behind a hedge that opens up into an open air backyard with string lights, a window into the kitchen where pizzas are being tossed and loaded into ovens, while the sound of live music trickles in from the front room. It's a beautiful space, and it's easy to be a skeptic going out to eat in Los Angeles when there's a lot of beautiful restaurants which maintain a superficial charm but never quite delight you in the way the best places do. This place does. We've been several times now, and I've had almost every pizza - the classic margherita with buffalo mozzarella, the umami richness of the truffle, the crowd pleasing diavola, the pesto with burrata - you can't go wrong with a pizza. I didn't order it myself, but the Pizza Montanara is something I definitely want to try, although be warned it seems more like an appetizer than entree. The Cacio E Pepe, Vongole, and Meatballs were all tasty, I would definitely skip the Calamari and Zucchini Flowers though, these are options that other places do a lot better. Cocktails were inventive, if maybe a little too much so, but we enjoyed our picks. All in all - if you're looking for great food in a relaxed atmosphere, this is the place to go. Another tip - usually it's not such a challenge to get a seat for 2 at the bar.
Be the first to ReplyI went on a date with a very special girl.
We had a delicious salad, pizza, and pasta. The food was delicious. The waitress was absolutely amazing. Forgot her name, but she had short hair and wore glasses. A+++++++ FOR HER SERVICE. UMMM YEAH EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. I WOULD TOTALLY RECOMMEND.
Be the first to ReplyKinda hard to find.
Food was great. Chef made a special dish my husband. Ordered their wine, was just okay, not worth $70. Looked it up and it was a $20 bottle of wine, next time i would bring my one wine. The bread was fresh and amazing.
Be the first to ReplyHighly recommend.
Took some out of town visitors here and we absolutely loved the food, drinks, service, ambiance, everything.
Be the first to ReplyThe food is good but portions are on the small side .
The restaurant is certainly a nice place for a romantic evening. My concern is they charge an 18% service charge . This to me is a cover charge to enter the building. The 18% goes to the restaurant not the servers. I'm trying to support local businesses but this to me is greed . If it went to the kids I would not mind

The restaurant is nestled in the middle of a residential area but the decoration and vibe definitely stands out from the surrounding buildings. Food came really quickly (less than 10 mins). The beet salad and zucchini blossom were really fresh. The pizzas (diavola and pesto) were good although they were not the best I've never had. I've had my fair share of pizzas in New York and my favorite style is Neapolitan so I'm slightly more critical. The pizza dough was light and fluffy although a bit saltier than normal. The diavola was better than the pesto, which had a burrata that I think took away the flavor / essence of the pizza and made the center soggier. Overall a solid pizza experience. I would come back for the vibe and the good food.

Dereck The manager had terrible customer service NO restaurant should ever hired Mgr's that don't have any etiquette towards customer. He was so impersonal and no tolerance for no one . Just very cold as ice. I will never go back to this restaurant ever
Be the first to ReplySo disappointed in my most recent dinner with some friends.
It was a birthday celebration for a friend. I corresponded through open table several times about the seating I preferred and the birthday. I tried calling the restaurant directly to confirm everything, however, no one ever answers the phone. You just sit on hold forever. I gave up every time. We got there and they wanted to sit us in the entry way. I wanted the large patio. Some back and forth over the table. We finally sat at the table next to the fire which was actually fine. When I reminded the front desk about the birthday they knew nothing about it. We were also rudely told that if we choose to wait for another table it would be deducted from our "dining time"! Are you kidding me? I made it clear we were not rushing. Our server was not great. She kept pressuring us to order before our cocktails even came. We had to ask if there were any specials. Every time we needed another drink or anything for that matter, we had to flag her down. Empty glasses were never cleared unless I asked someone to remove them. Empty dishes between appetizers, entrees and dessert just sat there until I flagged someone over to take them. Without ever asking if we wanted desserts, a birthday sorbet was delivered to the table. The rest of us wanted something too! I asked someone for dessert menus and they never came. Ten minutes later I asked our server. She dropped off one menu and she was off. Again we had to get her attention to order. Again...no follow up with our table. We wanted a round of espresso martinis to end the evening. We had to find her to order them. I will say, the cocktails and the wine we ordered were all great! As far as the food goes...ordered several appetizers. They were fine...nothing spectacular. All a little lifeless. We also ordered a margarita pizza for the table. I had raved about how good it was. It was so bland. No flavor at all. For my entree I ordered the chicken. The dish was flavorless and the chicken was dry! I sent it back. The birthday person had one of pastas. It was ridiculously salty. The other two entrees, the salmon and another pasta were fine. I used to love this place! I was sorryI recommended it to the group! I won't be going back anytime soon!

The pizzas are over done ingredients that don't match at all. Dissapointed.
Be the first to ReplyI recently visited L'Antica Pizzeria Da Michele and tried
I recently visited L'Antica Pizzeria Da Michele and tried their Margherita Pizza and Cacio E Pepe. While I enjoyed the food, I didn't find it to be exceptional. The Margherita Pizza had a decent flavor , but I felt that the sauce was a bit lacking in flavor, felt a bit too thin and charred. The Cacio E Pepe was good, but again, it wasn't anything extraordinary. The pasta was cooked al dente, and the cheese and pepper were tasty, but it didn't have that "wow" factor that I was hoping for. The flavor was a bit lacking as well. That being said, the service at L'Antica Pizzeria Da Michele was excellent. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Overall, while the Margherita Pizza and Cacio E Pepe were decent, I don't think I would go out of my way to visit this restaurant again if I'm looking for delicious food. If you're in the area and looking for a good Italian meal at a restaurant with great ambiance, it's worth checking out, but don't expect to be blown away by the food.
Be the first to ReplySuper friendly maitre de.
Great outdoor patio reminiscent of an Italian courtyard. Well heated for chilly nights. Helpful and respectful waitress. All courses were delicious. Burrata with eggplant, Caesar salad, pizza, and a wonderful pesto pasta. A great find.

Food was decent but very expensive for what you get and horrible service. You had to chase down the waiters for refills. Got charged for bread that was supposed to come with the burrata eggplant and then charged for tap water, we didn't say anything because we were dying to get out...it took forever to get the check to pay the bill
