Lawry's The Prime Rib Dallas Reviews
Sign of the time where I've wanted to visit this place.
It's been on the list for a few years; AND they are closing for good after 40 years. Texted a foodie buddy and had a plan in 24 hours. I'd already secured a reservation for Sunday brunch. Hotel rooms booked! Prime rib here we come! This all happened

Loved coming here over the years and sad that this location is closing. We ordered their thanksgiving this year and it was delicious
I've wanted to visit here for a long time.
Unfortunately, the location is closing at the end of the month. I had called to try to set reservations but without the luck of getting an answer. Even the website stated that reservations were all booked up. I figured that's why no one answered.
If I could give zero stars I would.
We had a 1:45pm reservation confirmed by Lawry's to celebrate my 11th wedding anniversary with my husband and my Mom. My Mom is 86 and has a hard time walking but she was excited to celebrate the anniversary. My family has been going to the Lawry's i
The service was spectacular.
The dinner not so much. The prime rib was bland and far too undercooked especially when our request was medium. The steak was good, but it arrived very late when the other guests had finished eating. The sides also came late after we were almost fin

Knowing that they're closing in planning another visit
Knowing that they're closing in planning another visit before it becomes so. I don't want them to leave. I love their prime rib and old tiny classy restaurant feel. We can't let them go.
Lawry's has been an institution in Dallas for forty years.
I have had so many great memories here full of potatoe chips, prime rib, and spun salad. The end of an era.

I just read that this location is closing and my heart is broken. We've been here for holidays and special occasions over the years, and have never been disappointed. Service is always top notch, old school steakhouse cool with such a unique present
Food is good.
Service is ok. Kind of annoying bc they disappear for sometime and a high end restaurant it is unacceptable. Really push prime beef and I get it but what else do you have to offer. Better choices for this level of restaurant.
Brilliant HH
This is an old favourite for us whenever we return to Dallas. Such a great location to meet up with friends. Which is what we did around Thanksgiving in the bar for HH. What an excellent HH we enjoyed for a couple of hours. The snacks were delicious
Huge Disappointment
There were too few highlights. The Christmas carolers were a nice touch and the attraction for attending. Unfortunately the star of the show, the prime rib, was a disappointment. We each ordered a different temperature, ranging from rare to medium. T
Poor service fair food
Went there for lunch today, and there were no waiters or waitresses hardly. We had to get up and refill our drinks ourselves from the wait stations. The lunch was a little buffet deal. The prime rib was good but The turkey was overcooked and dry. veg
Where is the long time grace?
Waitress Elizabeth was very thoughtful, kind, and attentive. Only distraction was hostess who seated us at a booth and when I โ79 years old and limpingโasked her to pull the table out to facilitate my sliding in said, โWe only pull the tables o
Kind of disappointing
I have made better prime rib at home. We were so disappointed in our meal. Last year's Father's Day meal here was so much better. The prime rib on this visit was sliced really thin and had absolutely no flavor. We were actually saying that we would h
A wonderful lunch
We stopped by for lunch prior to a visit to the doctor. The staff was welcoming from the start, and couldn't do enough for us. At lunch, they have a server who carves the prime rib for you to order. We both had the Lawry cut, along with creamed spina
Just blahhh
Prime rib was just ok. Nothing great about the salad or anything else I had. Service was one of the worst experiences Iโve had even if Iโve eaten for under $100, and this was a $350 meal for my party.
Hope your experience is better than ourโsโฆ
This was not a good meal. The escargot appetizer was not hot & was served with hard bread, not soft bread that could be used for dipping. We shared the largest cut of prime rib, which was barely seasoned and not hot. The mashed potatoes were r

Outstanding
We recently gathered for a private family gathering and experienced an extraordinary evening of outstanding service, food from beginning to end. The event included four courses, and each was chosen and delivered wonderfully. I highly recommend an
I came here for a family member birthday dinner.
Once I saw a creature crawling on the table, I should have known what kind of service I would get. Usually I will order me a bourbon neat before a meal. I hate when the outer part of the glass feels like I've shared the drink with 5 kindergartens.
Perfecto so yummy and the blue cheese salad was so delish.
They cut the prime rib right in front of you
Deeply regretting becoming a Lawry's VIP.
This is my second and final visit to this place. The fact that I had to bus my own table and wait 15 minutes to get drinks is not acceptable. Still wondering if I'll ever get silverware to eat with. Ended up getting my own silverware and now wonderi

LIARS AND THIEVES35 years of loyalty down the drain Last time I was at this establishment, my two servers "one in training" decided to turn his roughly $60.00 tip into a $160.00 tip. The female restaurant manager for a lack of a better word
Way to expensive for sub par meat
Was very disappointed in the Prime Rib. Thought this was what they specialized in. The salad bar was the best part of the meal. Was only able to eat half of the serving because it was chewy and tough. The quality of the meat is definitely not up to p
We have never been disappointed with great service, great
We have never been disappointed with great service, great food and great atmosphere. Having the executive chief actually carve the prime rib right at your table is wonderful.
Somewhat disappointed
First time here in several years. It is what I would describe as a "throw back" to a different time. Service was fair; like many restaurants the wait staff is stretched thin. My prime rib was as requested. If I return, I will request the au

I haven't been here in decades - since mid-1970 when it's reputation as the best place for prime rib was justified for me. Today, I returned and was very disappointed. My prime rib and my wife's filet were very tough and unflavorful. We didn't even w
Honestly very disappointed.
Had always heard of the great tradition of Lawry's and the Rose Bowl in CA.Was very excited to try it out in Dallas. For starters, sticky pork belly was decent but way too saucy. Then, everything went down hill. The server kept asking what the specia

I've been eating at Lawry's since the late 50's and this was the most disappointing meal I've ever had there and will not return. If this is a sign of the times, save your money and go to Mastros, Flemmings, even Ruths Chris would be better. The sala
Very frustrating experience yesterday.
We had a 5pm reservation and I received a voicemail at 2:51pm that the restaurant wouldn't be open for our Christmas dinner. That would be annoying enough on its own, but layer in that we had driven from Austin to Dallas for this meal. We've eaten at

Wedding Anniversary
Just celebrated our 17th anniversary today, Lawrys is our go to place for anniversaries, birthdays, and just because we enjoy the restaurant. Weโve never had a bad experience there.
I would never take anyone there ever again.
The food was horrible! Steak and salad and what ever that pudding was disgusting!! The only thing that was i considered good was the atmosphere and singing.

I have eaten here for dinner a lot over the years with nothing but excellent comments. Today I stopped for lunch and ran into Sam the carver, what a miserable attitude! Very much doubt I will ever return.
