This is a gorgeous location - the room itself is decorated with an abundance of tapestries, fresh flowers, beautiful linen and table settings and in the heart of the glorious Four Seasons George V hotel. It is truly one of the best in Paris. It is expensive but remember you only live once (that you know about)! The service was excellent, efficient, kind and nothing was too much trouble. You will feel like royalty. The staff teamed up to make sure both plates hit the table at the same time and with the silver cloches lifted on each dish simultaneously. We started with a glass of super sparkling champagne and there were a number of great options by the glass. The food was right up there with the best restaurants in the world. Dessert was not as fabulous as the rest. Breakfasts in this room are also a wonderful experience with great service and a la carte options including magnificent fresh fruit platters, eggs benedict and more luxury options. Go if you can!

We dined at both Le Cinq and L'Orangerie during our latest stay. Both restaurants are located inside the Four Seasons George V. Our experience at L'Orangerie was vastly superior to Le Cinq and we would recommend everyone to go there instead of Le Cinq. Le Cinq has a single static menu. You essentially have to take the menu as it is, as soon as you want to change one course you are off to the "A la carte" dining section. We tried to swap a course from the menu for the Turbot but they couldn't do that for the three of us because apparently they could either split it for two or four, not for three. We then built our own 5-course menu from the a la carte menu. We received one Amuse-bouche (surprise from the kitchen) before our chosen dishes were served. Fish bites, served on some type of transparent gel. Then they brought our chosen courses, each in rapid succession. In-between our chosen courses there was no break, no in-between surprise course (Intermède) to clean the palate which is usually standard in Michelin restaurants. The courses came in rapid succession, basically 4 courses within 1 hour. The meals were cooked well, without fault, however they were seriously lacking in finesse. There was no surprising taste unfolding, no new aroma to be discovered. We have experienced more finesse in restaurants with just one Michelin star. The meal-adjusted wine pairing we tried to order for each course didn't work as intended either, the lady started to serve red wine before the fish course was due instead of waiting for the meat course. Service was spotty as well, quite a few different servers served us this evening, each not knowing of what language to speak to each guest (which we explained to our first server). We aborted the meal before ordering dessert. Just to give the contrast to L'Orangerie located in the same Hotel: In L'Orangerie, you can pick between several options for each course of the menu, fish or vegetarian. So each guest can configure the menu to cater to their palate instead of being forced to take a fixed menu or fall off the menu towards a la carte. After each guest ordered his version of the menu, we could order a wine pairing and the sommelier took care to deliver a fitting glass of wine to each course without fault. The dishes at L'Orangerie had each their own finesse and surprising tastes to be discovered, for example the little spheres of egg yolk would enter your mouth intact and later burst to give a completely new taste to the bite you just took. Between each course there was a in-between course as a surprise from the kitchen - they all were lovely and exciting. You have one fixed server in L'Orangerie and occasionally the sommelier will step by to explain the wine pairing. Service was perfect. Our meal took from 7pm to 23pm, so everything was perfectly spaced out. Our 5 courses at Le Cinq were rushed through so fast that were were at the desert stage at 9pm (we also started at 7pm). L'Orangerie delivered a dining experience worth multiple Michelin stars, Le Cinq was disappointing in comparison.

I am grateful and lucky to say that I’ve had the privilege to dine in some of the best restaurants in the world. This was one of the best meals of my life. I can’t stop thinking about it. The service was beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. The servers are respectful, professional, and have such a great sense of humor. I felt welcomed and cared for from the moment I stepped into the hotel. For me, the food was amazing. It was an inventive (and delicious) combination of colors, smells, textures, and freshness that was a masterclass in modern gastronomy. Yes, the price tag is high but this establishment is the standard of excellence and very few come close to it. I highly recommend that if you have the means to do this then to please make a reservation asap. The finishing touch at the end was the dessert bar. The waiter even packed me up two boxes of wrapped caramel to take home AND they sent us home with commemorative picture. I will remember this experience for the rest of my life.

The ambience itself is very pleasant and the food is good - but unfortunately nothing more. It is good food, but neither in terms of innovation nor finesse or accuracy (some courses were borderline well seasoned) at 3-star level. In European comparison (outside Paris) a clear 2 stars, but to be fair also not below 2 stars. The service was less than convincing, friendly but ultimately not very attentive. The sommelière was not very helpful. If you ignore the dimension of value for money, you can dine sufficiently well here. Those looking for 3-star-dinner as culinary highlights should look elsewhere - there are great 3-star-places in France & Europe charging half the price for a better experience.

This is the best restaurant in the world, don't come here unless you're really about that life. Come here for the multiple Michelin stars and all the treats they surprise you with along the way that you didn't order and couldn't if you wanted to because some of it is unclear what it's even made of but will change your life. Come here for the steak that looks like a garden and definitely for the chocolate tray with nougat. Always and i do mean always get the signature spaghetti box! Don't order from the cheese tray unless they you really know what's up for real and don't ask any questions about the butter. This is always a 4 figure dinner so expect that. Americans.. Don't come here in your gallery department tee shirt you're embarrassing all of us and they will put a coat on you.

Been to many two and three star Michelin restaurants but have to say I was disappointed in the overall value. For a Party of four the bill came out to nearly 4000 euro (without bottles of wines)! At that cost I would expect more in terms of the main course(s). Deer was the main course but the table didn’t want that so we asked for the famous pressed pasta dish which they kindly obliged. Little did we know that they would cut a single portion in half to serve two people! Can’t fault the restaurant on service, creativeness, taste, or service timings. But…for these prices I am expecting Waygu and lobster. Sorry but would not visit them again.

We love Le Cinq and are fortunate to be able to come back fairly regularly. This visit the spaghetti en gratin had a very generous addition of truffe blanche. Oh. The chef gladly accommodates vegetarians and for this dish it simply means leaving out the jambon - the mushrooms have so much flavor it doesn't lack depth (I am developing a craving as I am typing this). The spouse is a very discerning diner and since she is always enthusiastic about going back to Le Cinq I deduce the non-vegetarians are also in perfect hands there. Service was perfect, attentive but unobtrusive. I would be remiss if I didn't mention how much Monsieur Painchaud adds to the entire dining experience. What a civilized place.

Best meal we have ever had. Le Cinq was an outstanding dinner experience. Everything you would want in a 3 star michelin. The room is beautiful, as is the hotel. The staff were terrific, and hit just the right note. Helpful, informative, funny, sufficiently formal/informal. Started out with a fantastic round of white and rose champagne by the glass. Followed by an immense wine list, helpful sommelier. Reasonable bottles available. We opted for the a la carte and had excellent dishes. The famous pasta dish was outstanding, as were the gnnochi. Everything else was likewise superb. Excellent amuse buche, one of which was one of the best bite I have ever had. Lots of little extras, truly delicious bread. Way too much dessert. If you are looking for the classic 3 star michelin you cannot go wrong here.

Amazing service. Went beyond our expectations. Beautiful surroundings...fresh flowers, dim lighting,...even a rose petal heart in the middle of the table for our anniversary. Very elegant. I was expecting to be underwhelmed for overpriced food, but was pleasantly surprised. This place exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds. The hotel is gorgeous, the staff is well trained and precise in their service. Food was exceptional. Over all experince was a 10/5. We booked well in advance and were surprised to learn that three of the restaurants at the Four Seasons hold Michelin stars -- le Cinq has 3 and they are well deserved. Our table was comfortable and we selected a few dishes from the menu. The service was of course extremely attentive and the sommelier was very knowledgeable about the wine list. My only complaint was that the gluten free bread was disgusting -- hard and stale and not acceptable to serve with the prices we paid. This will be on our list every time we come back to Paris!

The level of service is astonishing. They provided a cushioned ottoman for my wife's bag to sit on! The dining room is beautiful. We had the tasting menu. The food is amazing as expected. But what I love is the entire experience. The servers are wonderful, there are dozens of lovely things that occur throughout the meal that just makes your night. The menu, decor, service and attention to detail made this meal perhaps the best I've had. Family of 4 for dinner, including 2 younger kids (that are able to patiently sit through a formal dinner). Very classic formal French restaurant (jackets required, even for boys), but the service was attentive without ever feeling stuffy. Of all the Michelin restaurants we dined around the world, I will be honest and say the service at Le Cinq was by far, the best. The hospitality we were given was above and beyond. The ambiance was perfect, it was incredibly romantic. What the staff did for us and treated us was just a magical experience. As for the food, everything was incredibly delicious. Second, be prepared for 2-4 hours of fine dining. We tried most things on the menu. Everything was 5 out of 5 stars with every attention to detail. While I didn't love everything, most everything I didn't like my wife loved. Something for everyone. The deserts were delicious. We tried every one of them. After deserts came more deserts (save a little room) as I did not and had to take it home. Made for a good late night snack. Highly recommended. We are light and spent $700 overall so it's def a $$$$ on the scale. Worth it.

Now we are back in this amazing hotel and having dinner on our first night. We have great memories 6 years ago-see previous reviews- so we were very excited to try dinner. During pandemic, they stop serving lunch. We decided to do a la cart since my BF has some food restrictions may needs a lot of replacement. I had prawn for appetizer and sea bass for main which were just amazing. Prawns were soft but a right amount of texture, I put hollandaise sauce a side since I don't like the sauce in general but this one was mild and not too creamy so it worked well with prawn. Sea bass was porched with this cream sauce which was perfect with good amount of caviar. My BF ordered smoked salmon as an appetizer and he ordered lamb for the main both which he enjoyed. I was full but we both ordered dessert and my honeycomb ice cream made from buttermilk sauce was ok. BF got chocolate dish and later brought amazing chocolate cart and I think you can do nice dinner without desserts. Our waiter was very sweet and give guest Polaroid pic at the end with a rose! Highly recommend for the special occasion.

I got off the bus after work and he swept me away to Paris for dinner, and it was magical. We ate escargot and iceberg lettuce. He is such a gentleman, he put the shells up his nose and was acting like an absolute lunatic! He's so charming, he almost snot rocketed them across the room! Alas though, all his energy reminded me of my past love: Marlon Brando. I become quite distraught over his memory, but I did my best to hide it from Gerard. He knows that Marlon holds a deep place in my aura, but I feel guilty when I think of him around Gerard, especially since Gerard has so much money. He's such a sweet man I don't want to hurt him, but Marlon was and always will be my one true soul collector. I will miss him forever. I certainly wish that I was kissing him under the Eiffel Tower that night, but sadly you can't turn back time. I will feel better in the morning knowing Gerard is still by my side, and he will take me home in his white Mercedes and give me expensive champagne. I have known many loves in my life, but Gerard certainly is #2. The risotto was a little overcooked, but the taste was good.

They were very excited to share what they had been doing and were helpful with recommendations. Mostly a younger staff. They steered us away from doing a tasting with wine pairing saying it would be too much food and drink. Apparently it is seven full pours and I couldn't really handle the three glasses we ended up doing. The ambiance was also stunning and comfortable without being too over the top. However, we did call for a reservation and were told they had none and that we needed to call a month in advance. The next day multiple two person reservations came open online. My husband had watched this happen each day so he was pretty sure he would be able to snag a table. Even though we ate early at 7:45, the restaurant was only ever half full. Others might not be so persistent so it is worth checking. Unfortunately, while beautiful and innovative, the food was not as delicious as we had hoped. The bread service, amuse, dessert and cheese were all fabulous. I did not care for the venison with the grilled avocado and the truffle with cheese was sliced so thick it was tough to chew. Do get the spaghetti which sounds like an odd thing and we were going to pass it up but it is one of their specialties and quite surprising. While I wouldn't return (more of a once and done experience for me), I wouldn't deter you. My husband had really high expectations though and for us the food is always the first concern. We will eat in terrible places with poor service for really excellent food and this food was stunning to look at but only half of it tasted as good as it looked.

Everything was superlative and Le Cinq is well deserving of the the 3 Michelin stars in which they've earned and held onto for the past 20 years.We had the pleasure of enjoying the 11 course tasting menu with wine pairing. This meal will take you 2.5 hours and the cost ends up being $850 per person. Fortunately Le Cinq has already thought of everything and the seats are ultra comfy and support the extra long sitting time without discomfort. Also the cadence of the courses comes out in perfect timing so that you are not sitting around too long or feeling too rushed.Truly everything was exceptional from taste and the progression of the dishes, temperature, dining room, ambience and of course service. The only thing that was somewhat off putting was when I called the restaurant to inquire about the dress code and the lady on the phone was somewhat curt.Anyways about the dress code dinner jacket is required, but dress jeans are fine as well as designer sneakers. I hope that if you get the chance you can enjoy this exceptional experience as well.

It was the best dining experience I've ever had. We love Per Se in New York. This was even better than that. We have eaten at other Michelin 3 stars including Epicure on this same recent trip. I didn't expect to be wowed. But I was. Literally blown away by the high level of service that leaves no detail neglected combined with the insanely good food, and an atmosphere that puts you at ease the moment you walk in. Is it pricy? Sure. But it's Paris and it's worth it. I will make it a point to return next time I'm there even with so many places I need to try. It's truly a memorable experience for anyone. Go.

Full of color and vibrancy yet understated.The staff was so much fun- great personalities with warm and welcoming stories! Loved how beautiful they were dressed. Service was thoughtful, quick, attentive Champagne selection was very good. We had two glasses of rose that was smooth and flavoured. The drink selection included very nice cocktails and sodas. Oh and the tea - very flavourful! The food....OH MY! DELICIOUS! The flavours just pop.
