A delicious light lunch that satisfied everyone's dietary needs.
Le Petit Triangle Cafe turned out to be a great choice for a vegan, a vegetarian, and an omnivore eating together on a Wednesday afternoon. There were several good options for each of us, and the service was friendly and efficient. There is outside dining available, and a very nice dining room for dinner time.
Be the first to ReplyMemorable meal with a Parisian ambiance.
A memorable meal. Excellent Champignon Bourguignon, Cassoulet and Strawberry Rhubarb crepe. Atmosphere is very Parisian, felt like we could have been sitting in a Paris Bistro. So appreciated that they don't play loud irritating music. Staff is wonderful too.
Be the first to Replyslow service and seated at a bad table
We had made a reservation 2 weeks ago. We were sat directly in front of the door and the weather was in the single digits. The waitress came to our table after 20 minutes of waiting and she was not pleasant. The food was good however it got cold immediately because of the door opening and closing. Eating with our coats and being so cold was a complete turn off. People coming in and out with no reservations and no room to stand. I will not return, very dissapointed.
Be the first to ReplyA little bit of Paris
We have been twice to Le Petite Triangle this month. We went both times with family. The food both times was amazing! One one visit we had our 18 month grandson. The staff was so good with him. He was entertained the whole time. The cheese appetizer plates were good. The main courses that were served were very good. Some of us had the Salmon, beef bourguignon and scallops. The desert crepes are so yummy. It’s a little bit of Paris in our own backyard
Be the first to ReplyGood crepes, bad service
The crepes, as usual, were great. However the service, as usual, was not. I go with a friend for crepes once a year for her birthday as a tradition. I made a reservation. Upon arrival, a couple in front of us (a walk in, with a dog) asked to sit at the only available 2-top on the patio and were seated immediately. I told the hostess we had a reservation—she said she would be with us in a minute as she got menus and water for the table she just sat. When she came back, I again said we had a reservation and asked to sit on the patio. There was a 4-top available that could have been separated into two 2-tops—I asked if we could sit there. She said they don’t take reservations for the patio and a party of 3 had their name on the waitlist for the table open on the patio. 🤷 ♀️ We were sat at a table inside. Our waiter was pleasant enough, but we asked for the savory crepe first, then the dessert crepe since we were sharing both—both arrived at the same time, without an offer for extra plates. I don’t think we’ll return—or if we do, we’ll take it to go
Be the first to ReplyUnderwhelming
Food was underwhelming. Had chicken and cheese crepe. Large bone was in my crepe. Husband had the salmon crepe. Chutney was good. That is about it. Chicken was bland and cheese was in chunks. Not evenly distributed. So sad to say I may not be here for a while.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing
Disappointing- food was not flavorful. French onion soup had various large twigs of Thyme and a bay leaf - not fun to fish out inedible items. The salad was underdressed and had no flavor - the best item was the pomegranate iced tea. Service was mediocre as well/ will not be a repeat customer.
Be the first to Replyvery disappointing
My husband was in town to work at Rainbow Children's Hospital. I joined him. We dined here on January 11 as suggested by people he worked with. We had reservations yet were seated next to a noisy birthday party. We felt we would embrace their fun and not let their noise disturb us. We saw most entrées came with Kale or polenta. When my husband asked if they could skip the kale our wait person didn't say yes or no. There was no offer to substitute another vegetable. My husband's potatoes were cold, along with his meat. When we asked them to warm them up, they took his plate. In the mean time my meal was there and I ate alone. My salmon was also cold but it did not seem worth making a fuss over as they were inconvenienced to take back his meal. I was a little surprised no one brought bread to the table while we waited for his food to be warmed up. They seemed oblivious to the fact that I was eating alone while waiting for his food. When his meat returned the part he had cut was missing. We laughed about it. Neither of our meals was very good, even when his was rewarmed. There was no apology. When asked if we were ordering dessert and we said no the person serving us simply raised an eyebrow. I wanted to stop in the ladies room before we left but there was no toilet paper. We had a 6pm reservation which saddened me that they could not stay on top of their bathroom that early. On the whole it was a sad disappointment. We understand wait staff can be tired but we felt as though we were treated very rude.
Be the first to ReplyFood was good. Service needs a lot of improvement….
Had Brunch 2:30pm on Saturday. The cafe was full. The service was sad, the staff was hustling around, however it took 25 minutes before anyone asked for our order, even a drink order. This is a relatively small place 5-6 tables on the side we were sitting. Once the order was taken everything moved normally. Our food was good, the service left a lot to be desired.
Be the first to ReplyFood ok service and staff attitude awful!!
The girl with blonde hair who am seated us looked at us sideways when I told her we had a reservation. It took us 20min to even have someone come and great us then another 20min for drinks. Our food did not come out for an hour. We know you were busy but nobody said anything to us about it coming. Plus someone took our plates before we were even finished we had food on some plates that we either wanted to take home or finish. I couldn’t wait to try this place but now will probably never go back.
Be the first to ReplyAn expensive poorly prepared, poorly served meal
We were looking forward to a specal night out and had heard good things about Le Petit Triangle. First, the menu should be reviewed by a francophone for spelling errors. The music was not thoughtfully curated...and it could have been. Was the chef on holiday? The lamb, the ratatouille crepe, the duck, the bouillabaisse....all were simply terrible. Oh my! The crêpe was tough and uncharacteristically thick and the ratatouille pieces were simply there, dry, with an almost pickled flavor to them. My Kir Royale was great. The Aperol Spritz was watered down. No more sprtiz in her! Did it wait too long at the bar for pickup by the server and the ice melted or was it always missing the requisite presence of Prosecco? The red wine we chose was a good price and very good. Our too-polite francophone son-in-law rated his duck plate 5.8 He was our guest of honor. The service timing was off. Our server collected the almost uneaten plates with narry a peep, not daring to ask us if we enjoyed our meals. I can't blame her. To question a diner about untouched plates is the hardest thing for a server to do. Then, she presented the bill to the men at the table, making an assumption that is out of date. I tipped her adequately for most of this was not her fault. We just wanted to forget the evening. We left without a word in the restaurant but instead, I leave a small epistle here. This is not the place to celebrate anything. We wished we had gone elsewhere.
Be the first to ReplyBirthday dinner that was just so very good
Our party of 4 were met by Hanna who offered drinks and great service. For dinner, we enjoyed the triangles, hippie soup, bouillabaisse, salmon, lemon curd crepe, pan spaetzle, Excellent service, great food and atmosphere made for an enjoyable birthday dinner and night for 4 good friends.
Be the first to ReplyMisspent Anniversary Evening
Excellent: Service and cocktail
Good: Nothing
Ok: Salad, charcuterie and coffee
Below Average: Seared duck breast and banana's foster
Terrible: Lamb shank
We went to this restaurant for dinner to celebrate our 48th wedding anniversary. The lamb shank was not edible and the crepes they served with the dessert were amateurish. Imagine having a French meal prepared by someone who just read a French cookbook and wanted to prepare a meal for you. In fact, you don't have to imagine it! Just go to Petit Triangle Cafe.
Charming, excellent bistro in the heart of Ohio City
So cute, so French, you'll feel you're back in Paris. We dined indoors in a beautifully detailed small room. We had the ham and brie omelettes, which were fantastic and came with tasty fried potatoes. Our choice of bread was walnut raisin. The coffee was strong, just the way we like it. Will return happily!
Be the first to ReplyDelicious and authentic French
Came with a good friend who lives in the area, had the most wonderful lunch! We got a variety and everything was delicious! They have indoor and outdoor seating on a heated patio. We loved watching the cooking done on the crepe skillets behind the bar. I got the mushroom crepe, others got the cassoulet, French onion soup and the croc monsieur! Great service and food!
Be the first to ReplySmall French style Cafe that is worth the journey.
Truly an experience we had! Words cannot explain the food, and the service was amazing. Must try the Magret du Cannard!!
Be the first to ReplyWonderful French Gem
This is a neighborhood gem! Although we did not have reservations they accommodated us in a fairly timely matter. The food is amazing and worth the wait. Two men were cooking everything in front of our eyes. It was as if they were synchronized in their timing of every order. We ordered the charcuterie, coq’avin and Provençal fish stew, and finished with a strawberry and rhubarb crepe. All were delicious and I would recommend all. Reasonably priced. Help the staff and yourself- Get a reservation !
Be the first to ReplyDelicious food, cute restaurant, great staff
Such a great restaurant! All of the food, from the small plates to our amazing entrees and beautiful crepes was fantastic. Highly recommend the Bananas Foster crepes! Would definitely eat here again. Great aesthetic, friendly staff, and a pretty cup of coffee or glass of wine to go with it all.
Be the first to ReplyLeisurely lunch
Have eaten lunch there once a month the last 4 months with friends. Check out the menu on line many choices including crepes and traditional French dishes. We always drink wine and the wine list is varied at reasonable prices. Outdoor seating is available and there is a cozy dining room. The service is friendly and efficient. We always enjoy our leisurely lunches.
Be the first to ReplyFabulous Dinner
Wonderful outside dining. Just a great meal and extraordinarily priced for a large city. Waiter/owner could not have been more gracious.
Be the first to ReplySnippy hostess, poor service, worse food
Dropped in for lunch on Saturday. Snippy hostess asked"did you put your name on the sign up sheet"? We said "what sign up sheet"? She snapped, you should have gone to our web site and put your name on the sign up sheet. And we were supposed to know this how? She said, you do know there is COVID going on? Oh, wow, really!! We had no idea. Took forever just to get water. Not to mention the two $20 glasses of wine we asked for. Ordered escargot. Came with stale day old bread to "soak" up the butter. Would have been nice if there had been any butter sauce with the escargot. None. Dry. Mealy escargot. Ordered the buckwheat ham and brie crepe. Crepe was thick and cold. They used deli sliced ham, very little brie that was not even melted because it was cold. Wilted lettuce and sour, rotten cole slaw. Waitress never once came back and asked how everything was (not good), or if we wanted something else or another drink, nothing. Got our check and left. Will not be back. What is with these snotty 20 somethings? We are out trying to support local businesses and now they are back with the snotty attitudes. The last year it has been boo-hoo we can't work. Now things are opening up and they are right back with their entitled smug attitudes. Grow up, you are a hostess and a waitress.
F. You.
