Everything I'd heard about this restaurant had been
Everything I'd heard about this restaurant had been positive so I decided to try it out. The restaurant is somewhat small on the inside, but there are patio tables outside (weather permitting of course). Although the dining area inside was smaller than most places, it was not uncomfortable and added to the charm of the restaurant. It reminded me of a Parisian cafe. The service was friendly and prompt, and the waitress was helpful in providing descriptions of the food and suggestions. We started with the escargots, the Niçoise salad, and the onion soup. Escargots were great; meaty and served with a garlic butter and sliced baguette. Niçoise salad was bursting with color and flavor. Although the onion soup was made with a vegan base, it too was amazing. For our main course, we ordered the bœuf bourguignon and the cassoulet; both were incredible and heartwarming for a cold December night. We also split a bottle of Pinot noir which paired perfectly with our dishes. From our table we could see the chefs hard at work in the small open kitchen, which was very fun to watch and also very impressive. Our whole experience was incredible, and I definitely want to come back to try more of the menu!

Had crepe and can't wait to try other dishes next time. We will definitely visit again.

My wife and I come to Le Petite Triangle typically for the best dessert in town - crepes. This time we decided to stop in here for dinner and try it out. Our server was wonderful and offered great advice on the stellar menu. We went overboard and orderd three appetizers. We ordered the escargot, cheese plate, and the French onion soup. All were very very good. For dinner we ordered the lamb shank and the spaetzle . We were full, but could not help ourselves to order a peanut butter and dark chocolate crepe.

Had the tomato, Spinach and chevre crepe and the chocolate crepe. Such good, well balanced food. Can't wait to go back!
Be the first to ReplyBased on recommendations, tried brunch Saturday, Feb 2/24.
Had reservation so was seated fairly quickly by a very pleasant and accommodating young man. He was pleasant even when we asked to be moved to a table farther away from the entrance which in let a lot of cold air. However the female server assigned to our table seemed disengaged and not interested in answering questions about the menu. That was a hint of more lackluster service to come with our orders taking nearly an hour to arrive. I ordered the french toast and my dining partner the breakfast sandwich. My order was lukewarm upon arrival but I didn't want to wait another hour to get it heated up. I can't fault the taste or the consistency as the toast was good but definitely needed not to sit in kitchen as long as it did before being served. My partner said the breakfast sandwich was okay but nothing special. I did try the French 75 cocktail which was good but seemed a bit overpriced for the serving size. We were given our cheque without inquiring if we wanted dessert which we then asked for the dessert menu. We placed our orders and at the 20 minute mark asked about it and was told the order hadn't been sent to the kitchen yet. So finally nearly 45 minutes after we asked, the desserts arrived. We ordered the lemon curd crepe and the chocolate croissant. Both were good but not worth the wait. Perhaps it was an off day and the staffing challenged for an unknown reason but my experience was enough not to give it another try. Maybe others have had better luck.

Great place to celebrate romance. You get the taste of a high end French restaurant in the atmosphere of a casual cafe. Fun combo of both worlds. I started with the warm olives and almonds. This could have been my dinner! The warming really brings out the mellow aspects of the olives. Moving on to my Bouillabaisse entree. Tasty mussels, shrimp and cod in a tangy tomato based stock. Not sure where the zip came from but it was delectable. Served with a crusty bread to soak up the stock. Lovely. Finale. Bananas Foster caramelized bananas and sugar reduction served over a thick crepe made with vanilla ice cream. So tantalizing. Go for it. Service was a bit slow, (I wasn't sure if they were going for European slow style here), but they seemed under staffed. It was fine as we weren't in a rush. Slow lingering suited us just fine. Small place so I advise reservations. Street parking
Be the first to ReplyI dined here for brunch on Sunday.
I ordered a savory crepe with mango chutney and chicken. It also had a carrot slaw on the side. I thought the meal was very good but not excellent. The crepe definitely could have used more chicken. I ordered a Bellini with peach nectar that was quite tasty. The server was friendly overall. The atmosphere is cute but a bit cramped. I prefer dining here in the summer where you have multiple outdoor options.
Be the first to ReplyJust not my thing.
.. food was ok, its a small cramped place which i understand is a vibe.
Be the first to ReplyI've only been here one time and loved it.
For some reason I always forget about it when trying to think of a place and can't figure out why. Now that I'm writing a review, I'm bumping to the top of mind for my next time eating out. I'm vegan and the offerings, while not a large offering, were all really delicious. The ambience of the place is cute French cafe with some nicer rooms once you make your way to them. The time I ate there, the server was friendly and helpful when explaining the menu.
Be the first to ReplyA totally unexpected find.
Perfect for a dreary Cleveland day or any time you want something that is not basic. The food was fantastic, coffee warm and rich, the it was immaculately clean.
Be the first to ReplyWhat a wonderful neighborhood restaurant in Ohio City.
It doesn't look like much from the outside, but don't let that fool you. The ambiance is straight out of Paris; quaint, charming & a heavenly aroma coming from inside. It was a lovely menu, attentive waitstaff who knew the menu inside & out. The food was fabulous & authentic. Next trip to Cleveland, don't miss this gem!

The food here is very delicious and there are a plethora of French delicacies to choose from on the menu. However, it does take a while to be seated and waited on even when you have a reservation. We waited about an hour to be served and once we began eating, it felt as thought we were immediately being rushed out. For instance, one of the bus boys tried to take my plate away mid-bite which was super awkward!

After sitting on my wish list for years, the girls and I made brunch reservations for Galentines Day.We waited a bit for our table and service was quite slow on this Sunday. Our server had a lot of tables, we think, and it didn't allow him to be very attentive. The Bloody Mary was delicious. I enjoyed my Croissant breakfast sandwich too.Onion soup was good
Be the first to ReplyThe food was great and also the music choice.
The kitchen has very home like feeling. Everyone was kind and it was affordable.

I came to Le Petit Triangle with a couple of friends for brunch. I first heard of this spot from a friend from jury duty, and ever since I feel like I have heard nonstop rave reviews, so it was about time I visited. I usually don't go to French restaurants because I find it is difficult for Midwest spots to get French cuisine spot on, so I was honestly quite skeptical. When we arrived, I was surprised that the decor was so on theme. We decided to share several items since we wanted to get a good idea of the food. The waiter wasn't ~super~ helpful when we asked questions about the menu, but we were able to settle on two crepes (Nutella w/ strawberries and lemon curd), vegetarian quiche, and bacalao benedict. The crepes were great - both were really great portion sizes. The Nutella with strawberries tasted exactly how you would expect, and the lemon curd was phenomenal. I didn't think I would enjoy the lemon curd as much as I did but it tasted so fresh and delightful. The vegetarian quiche was also a surprise since I don't usually like quiche (I don't know why, I think the texture might just gross me out) but I actually really liked this one. It was nice and light and didn't give me the ick the way quiches usually do. We got the bacalao benedict because we wanted to try something more interesting. The menu obviously includes many more "authentic" French/European dishes, but because we weren't in the mood for snails we decided to try the bacalao. Based on the description of being salt cod potato cakes, it was fine. I wouldn't get it again but I'm glad I tried it since I don't anticipate I'll be getting anything similar in Cleveland anywhere else.Overall, a cute spot! Definitely gives strong Paris vibes and is a fun spot to go with friends, especially if you want crepes since I think they do them exceptionally well here. I'm hoping to return for dinner to assess how they compare to other popular Cleveland French restaurants.
Be the first to ReplyI really want to like this place and it's been in my list
I really want to like this place and it's been in my list for a while now. Made the visit today. and it was pretty underwhelming. Adorable seating and tables, but a bit dank feeling. Great playlist but not what I would consider french cafe ish - or meal music - it was a bit loud and a little too 'clubby feeling'. Food selection looked wonderful but depth is flavor is really lacking. Croque monsieur, omelette with bacon onions and cheese, bananas foster crepe. Decent but noting great. All food was a little cold (when asking about it was told their equipment doesn't let it get very hot). Like why kind of answer is that? I wonder if it would have tasted better if it was warmer (ex. cheese in the omelette and croque monsieur were not melted and even after asking for it to be melted and warmed up - waited another 10 min & the response was that it doesn't really warm like that !?!?!). So strange...but the croissant was hot and flaky. Crepes were a bit doughy and seemed like they were not fully cookies and bananas foster topping was bland. Cafe au kait was good and hot. Overall - Meh. Nice server, hostess, wait staff. Took a long time to get food. Overall, it was just ok. Maybe we will try again someday and see if anything jumps out - but for this trip - disappointed.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Cleveland! It is easy to access, has great French/European dishes, and is open all day so you can stop by just about any time. Sometimes we select simpler dinner dishes like Beef Burgundy or the Ratatouille Crêpe, but Friday we tried some of our favorite dishes...Duck Breast, Salmon, and Cioppino (fish stew). The Steak au Poivre is a favorite too. The desserts include sweet crêpes, Profiteroles, and Crème Brulée. A great place to relax, take your time, and enjoy great food!

Be the first to ReplyI have always loved this place.
It's been a while since I've dined in for a Sunday brunch but decided to give it a shot for my anniversary! We were seated relatively quickly without any reservation which was awesome. After being seated, it was about 15 minutes before our server even stopped by the table to take our order. I'll be honest, I understand staff shortages are a reality but counted plenty of staff members wandering past our table to attend to other tables seated in our area. After we received our drinks, we had asked to place our order (at this point we had already waited about 25 minutes) and our server replied in a very rude tone to us to wait, rolled his eyes, and walked away. Then he never came back! Luckily, we pulled another server aside and she took care of us and was very kind! Now, the food was excellent - no complaints at all. We enjoyed the meal. At the end, we ordered a croissant and it did have a hair on the side of it... which we returned to the kitchen and it was removed from our bill. Before leaving, we heard a dog barking. When the kitchen door opened, we realized a DOG was in the kitchen! Honestly, could have been a service animal so won't put too much judgement there- however having a dog in a restaurant kitchen doesn't give much confidence to me as a guest.

Bit of a wait on a weekend but so worth it! Absolutely fabulous savory crepes & salted cod fish cakes "Benedict". Cocktails are on point and not too sweet. Love this place! Highly recommend if you are on the hunt for a delicious French treat!

I enjoyed the food. Don't recommend the strawberry crepe. But I gave the banana foster a try and it was great. Breakfast sandwich was good as well just needed some hot sauce.
