If you're in Charlotte, you must try!
Atmosphere and service were fantastic. Food was PHENOMENAL! Our family shared the Duck Hash, the Leah's Cabbage and the Barbequed Shrimp. We loved all three dishes! Super full of flavor and ample portions.
Be the first to ReplyNot Satified with our meal. We are from Mich but 2 of our family members live in Charlotte. It is one of their favorite
Very disappointed in our meal. we are from Michigan and we're with family who live there. I had the Oxtail it was mushed up with some sort of beans no flavor and my son had chop chop disappointed in that also. It is my nieces favorite restaurant. The appetizers were good should have just ordered them. And they had just got married 2 days before. It was a expensive meal and not worth the money
Be the first to ReplyUnique and satisfying dining experience
We were searching for a unique dining experience with cuisine that we would not ordinarily experience. This menu fit the bill and then some. It’s located in an up and coming part of the city - about ten minutes from uptown. A small Intimate setting with a boho chic Vibe. Super friendly staff. Menu is small and interesting. Everything from rabbit to catfish to chicken and scallops. Southern with lower Mississippi twist. We experimented and had the fried chicken skins which others raved about. Too much fat for our taste, but that’s our issue, not theirs. The scallops with a cauliflower puree were amazing. The mud catfish was delicious. Craft cocktails were sublime. This is a must in Charlotte for a unique and totally satisfying dining experience. .

I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and I would have to say it was okay. The bun was very dense and dry, it overwhelmed the sandwich. I ended up taking it off. The pickles were nice, but were too subtle in their flavor. My husband got the oyster sandwich and he said the bun was too much on his sandwich as well.
Be the first to ReplyYou really have to try Leah & Louise at Camp North End!
I can't say enough about Leah & Louise at Camp North End. The food was divine! Seriously!!! My husband and I split the Leah's Cabbage ... Don't decide you don't like cabbage until you've tried this. It is tender with a creamy sauce and sausage. AND it is dressed with hot honey! Ask for a spoon if you don't want to embarrass yourself licking the plate. Wow! Then we split the ox tail with grit gnocchi, yes, that's right, gnocchi made with grits and fried. Crispy on the outside and melt in your mouth creamy grits on the inside. It is a revelation and you may never have grits or gnocchi in the traditional way again! Oh, and don't worry, this one comes with a spoon so you can get every drop of the amazing sauce and super tender oxtail! Finally, we finished the evening with "It's like Buttah", a creme brulee with a goat cheese dollop on top. You might want to get one of these for yourself so you don't have to share!!! To complement all of this truly amazing food, our server for the evening was Asia. She will describe the dishes for you in a way that makes you want to try everything! She's also the perfect host, always observant, never obtrusive. Seriously, if you haven't tried Leah & Louise, you are missing out. Worth every moment, every calorie, and every dime!! Thank you to the team for a lovely evening. It was our first time visiting but it won't be our last!!!
Be the first to ReplyTasty main dish, pleasant service
Met a friend here for dinner. Very attentive and friendly service. Menu was Southern-inspired. It was small--a few appetizers and three mains. Our main dish, the chicken, was excellent; the sauce was flavorful and the meat moist. The sweet potato grits were exceptional. Starters (fried chicken skins, some cabbage) were less impressive. Atmosphere was casual and fun, but loud! Overall, an enjoyable meal.

My friends and I had a great time. The door is cozy, welcoming and CLEAN. We really enjoyed the drinks, atmosphere, and off course the food! The menu changes so be sure to look it up on line before you go. If you don’t the excellent staff will help you out. Have fun!
Be the first to ReplyJust okay and different
Food: The fried shrimp cake was horrible. Why would you ever grind up shrimp and make a patty out of it. It didn't taste like shrimp. It was very tight and dense, just not good at all, especially for fine dining. Just give me whole shrimp, so I know what I'm eating. The River Chips taste burnt and the duck dish portion was barely there. The Sweet Potato Grits was good but came warm, not hot. Overall, the food was definitely different, but not tasty. Service: I'm not a fast eater and I was finished with my meal when my husbands food, came out. The waitress offered Champagne for the mistake but we don't drink Champagne, so we asked to replace it with wine. The waitress informed us it would have to come out of her pocket and we said never mind. They charge a 26% service fee for staff benefits. The bill was $167 our stomachs were not satisfied and we still tipped. We always do! They do not accept cash. Ambiance: Nice, but the space is a little tight. We won't return!
Be the first to ReplyFine Dining at Camp North End
This is fine dining at Camp North End. First, I appreciate their payment model as they provide a living wage to all their staff. With that said, they are pricier than most. Yet, the drinks and food make it worth while. The menu changes often yet their cabbage is a staple. Looking at the picture doesn't do it justice. Let's just say we got two orders of it.

This place absolutely amazing! Literally the best restaurant I have ever been to. The food was insane, my husband brought me here for a my birthday and it did not disappoint! The staff was so kind, I received such a sweet letter for my birthday from the wonderful staff as well as some Champagne! 🥂 The vibes were on point, Ari Lennox is playing! Our server, Asia, was phenomenal! We could not stop eating! I highly recommend the river chips (Voodoo seasoned fries chicken skins) the roll up (cornmeal brioche), the five spice duck and seduction dessert! The cocktails are also top notch! We could not have asked for a better dining experience! I cannot wait to come back next time I’m in Charlotte!
