Not the best experience
We have been to this restaurant several times and they have never disappointed until tonight. The service was super slow, the food took forever to get. Once it was brought to the table it was cold. We were very disappointed in the over all experience. We always bring visitors from out of town but now will think twice about it. The restaurant was not very busy so we were surprised at the level of service and quality.
Be the first to ReplyAn upscale, offstrip elevated dining experince!
Upon entering the door and being greeted by the owner Giuseppe, his wife Jenny or the very polished hostess, you know you're going to have an elevated experience. A recent birthday party was such an occasion. The food, service, warmth from the wait staff and delicious food made me feel I was at a high end restaurant on the strip! From a starter antipasta with a selection of thinky sliced Italian meats, freshly fried red, and yellow peppers, heirloom tomato capresse , onto a lovely mediteranean salad, then a rigatoni with marinara, to the entrée which was a choice of Sea Bass, the house Limoncello chicken or a generous beef Filet Mignon (my choice) served with a Madeira reduction, and a desert of a freshly (made on premises) Cake which was light, moist and rich but not cloyingly oversweet! Just delicious. The restaurant has a well appointed upscale decor, amazingly clean restrooms and other fun features like films of Sophia Loren being shown on a wall or large screen tv. The lighting was good enough, that I didnt see anyone whipping out a phone to use as a flashlight to read the menu. Hats off to the resident chef part owner Carla, owners Giuseppe and his lovely wife Jenny.

Limoncello is located in the old Macayo’s restaurant building on West Sahara. It now has an open, airy modern bistro vibe. On a weekday night, it was not at all busy or noisy. There are a couple of private dining rooms easily set up to accommodate functions. Service was appropriately attentive and friendly and there were a bunch of specials not on the nicely diverse menu. Chef Carla Pellegrino is now back from her stint at Yosemite. She will also be remembered from her time on the Strip and at Bratalian in Henderson. She is quite good, and we appreciate when local joints attract top talent. Of the starters, we were particularly impressed by the Spanish octopus which was as tender as we have ever tasted. For mains, we had the branzino and the ravioli all’arragosta. Both were well prepared, presented and tasty. Portions were average sized. One of us had the pollo Milanese which was huge with a ton of arugula on top. Main dishes range from $30-55 with starters averaging $15. There is a decent wine list with several bottles under $100. We realize prices are a bit high for a locals restaurant, but there is no parking charge as on the Strip, and the food is Strip quality. We will return.

It looks like I am the last person to review this restaurant and that was a few months ago on TA. The hostess was excellent, very welcoming, we came inside in 3 groups and she greeted every group with warmth. We were seated in a back room for privacy and that was appreciated. Two orders of Caesar salad, and 2 orders of calamari as appetizers, along with the bread baskets and oil dipping sauce. No complaints there. Thinking of all the orders: 3 Cioppinos, pasta in vodka sauce, gluten free chicken breast, chilean sea bass, chicken milanese, chicken piccata, It was a quiet dinner as everyone was enjoying their entree. Service was excellent, but one entree came 5 minutes after every other entree and it was very awkward. No one wanted to start and the lone diner kept insisting everyone eat. All entrees should arrive at the same time. Kitchen should work on this problem. All in all, a family Christmas dinner that went well and the food was good, but timing for that last plate was bad. The prices seem high for a non-Strip restaurant. Also, they should offer a domestic beer. Not everyone wants an Italian beer. Many photos added.
Be the first to ReplyPhotos added. Strip Prices in "Locals" Restaurant
My family dined here for dinner. We had reservations and were seated immediately. We started with bread. If that is made in-house, they need a new baker. If it was made outside, they need a new vendor. It was as hard as a rock. We ordered the calamari app that was very good. My wife and I shared the Chicken Milanese and the Chicken Piccata. Both dishes were very good. The service was excellent. The prices are expensive for a "high end" Italian restaurant not on the Las Vegas Strip. The restaurant was half full on a Friday night. I added photos of our visit and will return in December with my family.

*LIMONCELLO PLAYS RACIST BLACKFACE FILMS AND OWNER TAKES NO RESPONSIBILITY* My girlfriend and I went to Limoncello for dinner tonight. The service was excellent, the food was decent. Unfortunately, halfway through our meal, I noticed that the black and white film playing over the bar on a 20 foot wall was a blackface film. Being that my girlfriend was the only black person in the restaurant, we both became incredibly uncomfortable and infuriated. As we left, I told the hostess how we felt, and she was very apologetic. She told the owner, who came to talk to me in the parking lot. Guiseppe did not look at my girlfriend at all or offer her any kind of apology. Instead he was more concerned with assuring me, a white guy, that he's not racist, that it's an "old italian comedy, like Charlie Chaplin." Initially he refused to accept blame by saying he never saw it, that it's YouTube, that it was his managers fault, and that the "***hole waiter" saw it and didn't change it. I'm disgusted by his response. I will never return. I hope anyone reading this never goes, and I will be telling everyone I know about my experience tonight at Limoncello.
Be the first to ReplyGood Food but pricey and noisy ??
The food was well prepared...lamb, fish and pasta with good flavors. For the quality, the prices were a bit high. The bread was great. Decor is good but the owner/architect did not pay attention to the noise level. The restaurant was about a third full and one had to speak loudly across the table. It is not the place for a quiet dinner and conversation.Las vegas has many options for good Italian food. Not going to rush over.

For starters, I had the most amazing waitress! She was attentive and offered great suggestions. This place is dimly lit with very spaced out tables those for of you concerned about social distancing. The calamari was yummy, mule was delicious and the seafood pasta was so yummy too! The waitress was very sweet and brought out a complimentary dessert for my birthday. I also ordered the chocolate cake with ice cream. The ice cream was super yummy although I didn’t care for the cake because it has a raspberry or cherry in it. Overall, nice neighborhood dining experience.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, great service.
We decided we needed a nice dinner out, and made reservations at Limoncello. This restaurant opened just about the time COVID hit, and we have been wanted to try it. It was great! The menu is varied, something for everyone (and almost every budget), and there is an extensive wine list and cocktail menu. The service was great, and our food came out fast. We ordered an appetizer before we ordered our dinner, so we had time to enjoy that before our entrees came. The food was delicious. We will definitely be returning.

My husband and I have been so excited to try this place. From the type of cars parked in the parking lot my expectations were set high. They ranked well on my experience with excellent combination of food, service and pandemic changes. I greatly appreciated that they were very mindful to seat every other table to allow appropriate distancing.
As for the food... definitely above average. As seen in my pictures we got a variety of food but my favorite was the sea bass. Lemon and capers paired well. Without hesitation would recommend that dish. I was trying to reduce my bread intake otherwise I would have used it to soak up some of the sauce!
Not a bad comment with our experience but I do look forward to being wowed on our next experience to push up my rating to 5 stars.
TERRIFIC NEW RESTAURANT, GREAT ITALIAN FOOD.
This is a relatively new restaurant in the area., and we just happened to notice it. Glad we did. This was a Mexican restaurant restaurant, but has been completely redone inside and out. The atmosphere is quiet, comfortable and inviting. The service was outstanding but not intrusive. The osso buco was absolutely the best ever! Wine list is extensive, and includes many hard to find labels. If you don’t see what you want, just ask the owner, Guiseppi. He is very friendly, and makes sure to visit every table to make sure that everything is perfect. I can’t say enough how much we enjoyed it. We will be back again soon. Plenty of parking is available.

Had as usual a great meal with friends here, the pasta was al dente as ordered accompanied by a delicious tomato sauce that complimented the homemade fresh pasta, the seafood presentation was attractive and real fresh, although I had a beautifully presented and well executed steak, I tried the Turbo fish that my friend ordered and It was delicate and delicious, they have a great wine collections including vintage wine and champagne.
Can't go wrong in this restaurant they know what their doing.
Good fish, bad chicken, bad service
Good fish, bad chicken, even worse service. We waited nearly 1 1/4 hours to receive our entrees. Several couples arrived well after we did, and they were nearly finished with their meals before ours arrived. Owner blamed it on kitchen staff who quit, but that’s not even close to a logical answer. If that were the cause, why did the others get served so promptly. Very expensive.

This restaurant is outstanding! The food, the service and the ambiance was wonderful. The wine options are extensive and the choices for "by the glass" is great.
I highly recommend it. The owner, Giuseppe Bavarese, is a true gentleman and checked on us several time to make sure all was good.
Atmosphere Gallore
Limoncello is the newest addition to Las Vegas Italian dining. This restaurant is a MUST SEE. The bar area is casual and make some of the best “dirty” martinis in town. The dining area has a private room for special events. The food was impeccable!!! Cheers!!!!!

Are at this 7 week old restaurant last night. From start to finish this was a wonderful dining experience. The interior is beautiful and relatively quiet. The menu has something for everyone. The pastas and lasagna were as good as it gets. Wonderful, friendly service. This one is a keeper!!
