Key West’s quantum leap
Greeted at the front door by a warm spirit named Dan with a glass of Bordeaux was just the beginning. Located in an old craftsman house on the corner of a charming Key West neighborhood, the tasting menu included a zesty Pink Shrimp Tiradito followed by Maine Mussels with red curry, kimchi, and scallions. The main - Blue Crab Ravioli in saffron tomato bisque. On the cutting edge of a gastronomic adventure but with all the charms of Key West. Little Pearl is a triumph.

This was a special treat! A very interesting delicious 4 course meal, totally curated and presented beautifully. The portions were smaller so that you wouldn’t be stuffed at the end of the evening. They were kind and welcomed us (6 adults, a 10 year old, and a 5 month old baby!) all with smiles. Best dinner of our trip!

Husband and I arrived for the 5:00 seating. The restaurant seats around 30 people. It is a chef's tasting menu, you have 3 choices for each of the 4 courses. There is an option to add on some additional items. We added the ceviche and some oysters. I would have loved to try all the add ons! For the first course, I had the plantain soup. It was an interesting combination of flavors, like nothing I have ever tasted. Husband had the lobster nuggets-you can't go wrong choosing those! Next he had the mussels-I don't care for them. I chose the octopus and this dish was hands down the best dish I had on the trip! For the third course, he had the local catch which was grouper. So fresh and delicious. I tried the ravioli and they were luscious! For dessert we chose the lavender ice cream and the cannolis. Absolutely perfect! The service here is amazing. The restaurant is laid back, but with elevated cuisine and service.

I am more mad that I wasted my time than my money. The wagyu was over powered by the fried dough. The tuna had no flavor, the short rib was dry and chewy, the wasabi had been sitting so long it tasted root, the udon had no flavor and feel apart in the bowl, the crudo was chewy, and when I said something they said "oh ok". I have had no problem spending a lot of money on dinner but I want it to be good. Honestly I am really annoyed I wasted my time going there.

Ok for the most part. Our waitress was so distracted. Never checking in and never pouring our wine. She kept dismissing my questions. The menu was first night and she knew nothing about it. The wedge was a piece of iceberg with what tasted like ranch. Disappointed. The fish and cheese plate were very good. Felt a bit rushed. Would not return. Many better choices.

Walked by this spot on the way back to our hotel in the afternoon and ended up canceling our original reservation so we could go to Little Pearl instead. We were only in Key West one night and are so glad we decided to go here! Such a quaint, romantic spot - the weather was perfect, the atmosphere was cozy and relaxing and the food was incredible!

Went here on a recommendation. All our meals were superior. Shrimp, snapper, grouper, prawns, steak. Everything was incredible as was the service too

What a cool place with a great atmosphere. Came here for our 24th anniversary dinner while visiting Key West. Chef menu was on point. Bottle of wine was exquisite. The servers and staff were very nice and attentive. Price, not for the faint of heart. Overall experience was very nice!

My wife and I had a delicious meal there recently. You can tell that the chef put a lot of thought into creating the menu. Service was impeccable, even down to replacing our silverware after every course. Highly recommend!

Little Pearl is a charming little restaurant that is slightly off the beaten path in Key West. Feels very private. Food was delicious, unusual taste pairings and plenty of variety. Staff was great too. I celebrated my birthday here and it was perfect!
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely the best meal we had
Someone had recommend this place to us. This was absolutely the best meal we had in Key West. The flavors were amazing. My husband and I made sure to pick separate selections from each course so we could try more. The servings were on the smaller size but by the time we were done with everything we were so full.. we ordered the octopus as an appetizer ( I was a little hesitant). This was so tender and the teriyaki sauce worked well. Would highly recommend to anyone that they should try Little Pearl.

Difficult to get a booking but once there worth it. Not formal. Personable waiting staff. Menu is a tasting menu but each course has choices. So really interesting courses; the KFC cauliflower was excellent. Fresh and innovative. Three of the four courses were exceptional. The pudding was very good, not quite as excellent as the other courses. I would definitely recommend this restaurant but plan in advance as reservations are hard to get at the 7pm sitting.
Be the first to ReplyCute but not worth the money
This restaurant is very small, and the menu is a tasting menu. In other words, it is limited, and you have 4 courses, but the portions are small. The price however, is not. While the staff was wonderful and the food was not bad, it was not worth the hype and the money we spent. We have been traveling to the Keys for years and feel there are much better options for the price.

We had a great experience here with the tasting menu. There were 4 courses which included a dessert and all were very creative and tasty. The staff were very helpful with explaining the courses.

Unexpectedly outstanding experience. Service was impeccable, menu was full of surprises and creative presentations. Wine list was strong. Get dressed up and go enjoy! If this is not the best restaurant on Key West it’s close.
Be the first to ReplyDelightful all around
This unique tasting menu had lots of interesting preparations although portions of some were really tiny, especially for the price. Our waiter, Patrick, was terrific and suggested a terrific wine to pair with the food + an interesting glass for after dinner. Decor and atmosphere are really lovely.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable meal and were taken care of like guests.
The menu had choices per course and they all worked together beautifully.
Its all presented fantastically and there is an extensive wine list.
We loved it.
Book it!
When we booked on open table it referred to it as an “experience” and that exact what it was. The chef has crafted everything here from the Edison bulb light fixtures to the techno gentle background music that creates an aura but doesn’t distract from what the true experience here is …the food. Every flavor and texture is carefully chosen. No element on your plate is simply filler. It’s all intentional. Each piece of fish or meat is carefully chosen. The creativity is abundant here and the flavors are enchanting. If you want typical overstuffed American cuisine, head to Duval Street. If you want a meal that delights with its interesting presentations and techniques, here’s your place. Book well in advance.
