Super arbitrary door policy and straight up unprofessional.
Didn't make any sense, would not come here ever. There are better places that don't do the faux energy and where your money is better spent.

Horrible Service Upon arrival the bouncer at the door was more interested on flirting on the job with women than attending the front door even getting the ladys number. After finally getting in the door had to stand at bar like we were invisible. The gentleman that arrived after us was attended to immediately and had an issue with bartender (joseph) apparently he had over charged him for 2 shots he didn't order he requested a refund. Finally I got to order my drinks after 25 min. I ordered one house tequila orange drink and one house champagne. He gave us an oder we didn't ask for charging my card 4 shots for one drink and champagne total was over $180.00...I spoke out about it he then handed me 2 shots of house tequila..as if to compensate for incorrect charges...didn't offer me the option of refunding the incorrect charge how he did with previous customer. I'm very disappointed that such a high end establishment would stoop so low to bring up the check illegally to bring up the gratuity since it's included. This is wrong keep this in mind if you decide to visit this establishment. I will not recommend this place and will no longer visit it either.
Be the first to ReplyThis place gets lively at night with the live band.
People let loose even though its a classy joint. You can come to people watch or enjoy the music. Both are great. You are bound to see a celebrity or 2 if you are into that. The drinks are overpriced but you pay for the atmosphere. Fun place and a must try when in Miami. When it gets busy they only allow hotel guests and people with reservations in so beware. Cool spot overall.

Came here after dinner for drinks and to hear music and it was such a vibe for a Monday night. The decor is so beautiful and grand. The drinks were delicious and i loved the complimentary drink snacks they bring out (popcorn, olives, and nuts). I also ordered a dessert to share and it was by far the best dessert I've ever had. Everyone was really nice as well so I will definitely be back.

I had friends in town so we stopped by here after dinner to check it out because ive heard great reviews and seen lotsa posts on instagram. The hotel is pretty but dated. Some parts looked old and dirty probably need a update. I guess this place has been around for a while so its not as new and clean. I don't know about the rooms or restaurants since i only came here for the lounges. The living room seems nice and on the weekend it's packed. 1/2 of the place is members / hotel guests only so we cant get in. I understand this exclusivity policy but we are all dressed up and just wanted to check out the place i dont see why they would turn people away. Anyway we couldnt find a place to sit and the staff were unfriendly so we left. There are plenty of hotels in miami that are nicer so i see no reason i would come here again.
Be the first to ReplyHad great dinner at steakhouse.
Fabulous burlesque show afterward. Unfortunately the Living Room kept us hanging around outside the door seemingly waiting for us to pay them $200 to walk in only to see every "professional"lady get to walk in freely presuming the doormen were getting kickbacks. Not like it was overbooked as many more people were leaving then being allowed in. Racket for sure. Not cool after spending 2K at the hotel earlier. :-(

It was my anniversary and I just came from the cabaret show at the theatre (amazing experience ). we wanted to continue the night, and we were rejected from entering the living room because, long story short, we are lesbians. We were dressed very nicely, just not in heels and dresses. The bouncer said "we are full for the night" at 9:45 pm, with no line. Mind you, we had just spent $500 on the theatre + drinks within the faena establishment. It's unfortunate only "certain looking people" can enter. When I told the bouncer "hmm it's because I'm not dressed like a straight girl huh?" He just said "we're full". Lol... it's 9:45 pm on a Saturday night with NO line at the door. Come on now... It just overall was a buzz kill to what was an amazing night. Again, we were very well dressed so it just doesn't make sense. As we were waiting, a girl in a dress, high heels, lip fillers, boobs out, walked out of the living room, and looked at us as she complained to the bouncer that certain people inside weren't dressed to code. Obviously this is the type of clientele that they want in there. Plastic and "bougie". All I can say is, Haters gonna hate. As a local, I'll take my money elsewhere next time. Also, if you've experienced this here, might as well add mayami to the list of places to avoid too. Same vibe as living room.P.s if I was straight I still wouldn't wear heels, it's painful . byeeeee
Be the first to ReplyPurely amazing vibes.
The staff were super accommodating. Drinks and barmen were spectacular. The crowd was dancing and having fun. Would return anytime i can!
Be the first to ReplyTrashy environment that thinks it's trendy.
if you want class go elsewhere
Be the first to ReplyThis place is all hype and no substance.
Sure, Miami has plenty of places that fit that description but this place takes it a step further.Waitstaff and other staff were straight up rude, and clearly were evaluating the quality of dress/shoes/handbag/ diamond carats to assess how well to treat you. This feels like the opposite of hospitality. (Or maybe I have too much self respect to go to places like this? ) the "evaluation" from the bouncer getting in felt like being an insecure 20yr old trying to get invited to someone else' section for free drinks in exchange for flirts at a night club. No thanks I'll get my own table. (Likely elsewhere) Two stars because the food was decent (but not particularity noteworthy) and the venue was pretty.

tldr: It's been a while since I encountered such a rude and unprofessional hostess and been deemed an unsuitable guest to enter and condescendingly turned away. The Living Room at the Faena has long been my favorite cocktail spot in Miami Beach. Pre-pandemic this was our usual spot after dinner at Scarpetta. Having returned to Miami post pandemic, we were set on returning to the Living Room changing out our dinner location to the new restaurant at the Faena-- Pao. Unfortunately, what started as a lovely night very quickly turned sour. As we approached the Living Room, we were asked to wait in the cordoned off area for the Hostess/Manager who had a title equivalent to "Director of Ambiance." We waited politely, and the lady came out, and provided NO invitation or pleasantries, but instead gave us a cold face, pursed her lips, and gave us an obvious up and down look over. It could not be more rude or demeaning (echoing someone elses's comment - "condescending"). To be clear-- we are professionals in our late 30's from NYC, dressed very well and rather formally for the fancy restaurant we had just been in, and would have been welcomed to any other establishment-- except this one apparently. The "Director of Ambiance" then proceeded to ask us three questions (do you have a reservation?- no they only take reservations by email and previously not required; are you staying at the hotel?; are you part of the Rose club?) and then told us literally "sorry its policy I can't let you in." There was no line, the place was clearly empty as we could see inside, and as we tried to ask ok can we come in briefly and leave prior to any reservations that you may have (as it was still early- 9pm) she essentially just tried to get rid of us sending us to the concierge with an air that she had better and more important things to do and no time to deal with us-- clearly the empty hallway and bar were calling. (PS the concierge was lovely, and went back twice to reason with her and on a second try reached a deal that we would be let in if we spent $250 a head-- an option the hostess did not even entertain us with. Could we afford it - yes, but by this point-- we were done.)I can respect people doing their jobs as the friendly concierge and bouncer demonstrated, but I cannot respect rudeness. And while I am used to quite a bit of attitude, the attitude displayed here stood out as an example of someone who had just tasted a bit of managerial power and was on a power play.Is the Faena trying to become an exclusive club, only accepting of out of town visitors on the belief that they spend more- possibly. Are they looking for a clubbier/trashier clientele as suggested by the ladies garrish matte red lipstick and attitude - possibly. Too bad I'm not sure I want to go back to find out.
Be the first to Replyabsolutely beautiful ambiance and a dope spot.
I cannot wait to come back and enjoy it again. What a perfectly tailored place with excellent taste. You can't go wrong here.
Be the first to ReplyI recently attended a conscious rave - ie no alcohol, yoga
I recently attended a conscious rave - ie no alcohol, yoga and sound bowl vibes at the beginning and end and great music in between in the sand behind the Faena Hotel. (I'm sure in my younger years there might have been one or two in the same area when the buildings in this strip were not as fancy but anywho.)The day rave was hosted by a group of promoters known as Daybreakers and the music was downtempo, a little bit of breaks, and some good ambient. But back to the Faena Hotel: with the spiritual artistic murals in the lobby the entrance toward their back beach was absolutely perfect. After passing the murals, walking past the golden mammoth sculpture, the early evening was perfect for getting down. The beach behind Faena has a breakwater boulder that are perfect for zoning out by the water or having a friend pose for her mermaid pictures as well. Then came great dining. Since we were in shorts and beachy overall, dinner was at their Sun Bar outside terrace. The wonderful Sinatra cover band, playing well past 11PM eased our transition back from raver to corporate and adulthood. Seriously, this gent played all the great Sinatra tracks & closing out with "My Way".My beef burger was "sinfully" delicious. Close your eyes and visualize a juicy blend of juicy half pound beef. Feel the flame of medium well while preserving the juiciness. Picture a flavorful mountain of caramelized onions..swiss cheese..brioche..sweet BBQ sauce. Continue this journey with slightly crispy fries...Immerse yourself in a citrusy cascade of golden Brugal rum. Savor the crispy orange flavor of the mascarpone, journey to its sweet creamy center all the while sipping an Amaretto nightcap. Allow your senses to luxuriate in this journey of flavor. You may open your eyes :)
Be the first to ReplyIf I could give zero stars I would.
Rude, entitled and full of wankers. If you're auditioning to be a sugar baby, give it a go. Cheers Faena
Be the first to ReplySuch a bad experience I had last weekend.
The hostess discriminates people. She's extremely rude and condescending. I would never go back or recommend this place to any of my friends nor clients. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I wish I had read the reviews before going. It looks like I'm not the only one that thinks the same. Management should do something about it before they get sue for racism and discrimination.
Be the first to ReplyI love the Faena hotel.
Have stayed there and dined there multiple times. But trying to go to The Living Room is 10 times harder than it should be. The bouncer is extremely rude and condescending for no reason. He takes his job way too seriously for a hotel bar. I'm in my 20s and live in NYC, I've been to so many cool spots and the bouncer at living room KILLS the whole vibe. He acts like he's working the door at Berghain lol.

We decided to bar hop and this was one of the bars we visited. The hotel looks beautiful and the bar was well decorated. The bar itself was packed and there was no standing room at the bar or any sitting room available. I ordered a sex on the beach and it did not taste like one at all; very disappointing for the price. We saw others ask for their drinks to be remade as well. Music was okay but definitely not worth just standing around for. We left after 1 drink.
