Excellent duck!
They offer excellent duck. The service was ok. We didn't really expect friendly servers from the Chinese servers in Singapore so that's ok. What surprised us was that we were charged for the hot water. I think per order of hot water was $1.50! That surprised us. They also charged us for the wet tissue. Eat here for the duck. The duck is worth it (at least once). Or maybe try their other branches.

Second time trying and both times underwhelmed especially for the price point. Nothing is great. Fried rice is ok. Chilli prawns are a real fail and more like an Indian dish. Prawn wontons are ok. Maybe if it was half the price it would be 4 stars but at the prices they are we won't trying a third time.

Sichuan Spicy Chicken is just fried chicken and MSG. Is nothing like Sichuan Spicy Chicken (Recommended/Specialty). Had good expectation of the dish since is a recommended/Specialty by the store. Disappointed, nothing close to what is meant to be.

Got takeaway: generous portions for a half order of duck and staff were friendly. Tasty treat! Will come back soon for more!
Be the first to ReplyA Satisfying Lunch
I was greeted very warmly by the female team member, and shown to a table. Lunching during their off-peak period meant taking advantage of a discount, which wisely excluded roasted items. Ordering is made easy with a laminated order sheet and e-menu. For my late lunch, I decided on an appetiser, Battered Whitebait (crunchy and not oily) and Omelette with Preserved Radish (fluffy with a generous layer of chopped radish on top) as a main dish, accompanied with Steamed Rice. Being a non-meat eater, I was surprised that the omelette had bits of minced meat in it, as I was sure there was no mention of it in the menu. The Water Chestnut beverage served warm was also a welcome relief to counter the chilly mall temperature. Service was prompt although I thought the appertiser should have been served first. Nevertheless, a very satisfying lunch indeed.

I did not see the noodles section anymore, perhaps the menu went through a recent revamp. Had the braised spinach tofu and szechuan prawn dumplings. Tofu had light sauce while the chilli vinegar of the prawn dumplings was the complete opposite. Great tastes both! Prawn inside was huge . Tofu was soft .
Be the first to ReplyDumplings tasted bad
We ordered the Sichuan dumplings and it tasted like the meat has gone bad even though they tried to cover the smell with the smell of vinegar. We alerted the restaurant about this but they insisted that was the smell of the vinegar. Actually the vinegar was muscling the smell of the meat gone bad. Other dishes we ordered was mediocre only. Disappointed.

TERRIBLE PLACE BAD FOOD AND LOUSY SERVICE! We waited 45 mins for our food and people who came in later got served first, when we asked about our order, we kept getting asked to wait and when the food finally came it was wrong! Duck was horribly dry too, congee was like water and noodles undercooked. It wasn’t even a full house. Beware of visiting
Be the first to ReplyGood lunch set
On a friend's recommendation went for the lunch set which turned out to be a very good deal. You get a choice from 3 items for each course so we ordered the signature duck, spinach soup with 3 types of egg, deep-fried whitebait. Set came with free flow Chinese tea, pickles and peanuts, wet towel. You need to use the erasable marker pen to indicate the choices. The duck was well-presented, slices of marbled meat with a brown sauce, just nice tor two people. The whitebait was crisply battered, tasty rather a lot for two so we took back half of it. The spinach soup was fine, not too salty. Service was friendly and helpful, obliging to the point of obsequiousness with several offerings to top up tea. Did not order any a la carte items so can't speak for the other items. Will certainly patronise this place again, social distancing between tables well-observed, temperature taken etc.
