As soon as we walked in, there were about four or five hosts standing by the hostess station. Since they were all mid convo, i ended up greeting them. I let them know i had reservations and two of the hosts reviewed the tablet together to find my reservation. It took about another 3mins for us to be walked to our table. Overall the entrance portion was quick. The restaurants main door is off to the side. Its a strange front door situation. When you walk in, the entrance is a little narrow but then opens up to a big space. The decor is really nice. The live music was a plus and certainly makes the night feel more romantic. The floors are NOT heel friendly. I slid a few times and do have rubber stoppers on the bottom of the heels. So just a heads up for any ladies out there looking to visit. I had to hold my husbands hand to walk in and out. Once seated at the table, it did take about 10mins for our waiter to acknowledge us or get us water, etc. He actually didnt, the runner ended up getting us water. We were given the option of flat or sparkling. We took sparkling water. When the waiter came around, he took our drink and appetizer order. Once the appetizer came, we ordered our entrees. We ended up getting two drinks. My husband got a Cadillac Margarita with Casa Migo. I got the Pomegranate Martini. The drinks here are ridiculously overpriced. The Margarita was $29 and the Martini was $21, more then the appetizers prices. I got two drinks and you can easily see the inconsistency in how it was made. The first drink was darker. The second one was way too strong and tasted like only a splash of Pomegranate juice was used. As an appetizer we got 6 raw oysters and the crab cake. I asked for one crab cake and was still given two and charged for those two as well, $49. Thankfully the crab cake was absolutely delicious. The seasoning was on point and you can taste and see the big pieces of crab. They serve it with big pieces of lemon and a sauce. The oysters were fresh. They tasted good and had a good texture. The six oysters were $23. Both appetizer were good, i recommend them. For entree my husband got the rib eye - oscar style with crab meat and hollandaise sauce, $134. I got the rib eye as well but with nothing on top, $79. For sides we got the lobster mash $40, and truffle mushrooms $24. The Steaks were delicious. Perfectly cooked. Perfectly seasoned. I loved it. The sides were also good. The lobster mash was flavorful and had large pieces of lobster throughout it. The seafood flavor in the mash was also very present. The mushrooms were really good as well. I did with that they left less thyme twigs in the mushrooms. I also wish they used less green onion on the mash. Some pieces were hard to chew because they seem to have been charred. For dessert we got the butter cake and the raspberry chocolate mousse cake to go. The butter cake was dense, sugary and full of flavor. It had so much butter in it, you could taste it. They dusted the cake in sugar which i feel was an overkill. It didnt need additional sugar. They serve it with fresh fruit, raspberry syrup and vanilla icecream - way too much. The chocolate cake was delicious. Not an overpowering amount of raspberry. The cake itself was hugeeee, i feel like we got two big slices but what i realized, its a high tierred cake and because of this, the tiers had to be split to fit inside of the takeout container. This cake was served with raspberry sauce as well. Overall my meal here was great. Expensive but it was worth it. I dislike going somewhere, spending alot of money and the food is trash. Def didnt have that issue here. What isn't the best is the service. After spending $575 i felt that the service i received didn't feel like it was worth that price. We had long waits in between being seated and our order being taken, etc. Even when our food came out, the server didn't bring it, it was a runner. We must of asked for utensils, extra sauces and hot sauce multiple times before receiving it. The server had multiple tables that night and aside from ordering the food with him, he didnt do much. His angry face killed me. He seemed really upset about being slammed with multiple tables. It made him extremely unapproachable. He seemed to change his tune when we asked for the dessert menu and items to go, sort of happy that we were 1) ordering more and 2) leaving.Overall, loved the food here. If I'm looking to have an expensive fancy dinner....i might come back. I'm glad i finally visited this restaurant.
