AVOID!
Sooooo basic! Nothing interesting on the menu, nor good. Only main they had was grilled chicken, which anyone can cook at home. Everything was so plain and disappointing..

The food is absolutely delicious at MIMI - we had red snapper crudo and seabass tartare, pork rillettes and escargot gnocchis and for dessert: the baba au rhum. The two seafood dishes were elegant and yet simple, the seafood was really fresh and not overpowered by seasoning. The pork rillettes were fine but the toasts that came with it were so full of butter that we could barely eat them. The escargot gnocchis were a beautiful surprise: pesto, escargot, buttery gnocchis melting in your mouth. The baba au rhum was also excellent especially because the bottle of Venezuelan rum is left on the table so you can pour as much rum as you want. Service at the restaurant was good and the ambiance was what you expect of a small restaurant in the village: dim lighting, cool bar scene, sexy atmosphere. The only problem at MIMI was the noise - our reservation was on a Saturday night at 9:00 pm, the place was packed and I could barely hear my date because the noise level was so high.

MIMI is a small but comfortable Village French restaurant. Expensive but worth it for that special night or special person. Staff was knowledgeable. Worked with me to find a wine that fit my tastes. Menu small but tasty. Everything well portioned and well seasoned and cooked.

Lovely little place. Went for a little bite with a friend, and basically just had drinks and apps. Wish we would have had time for the full menu, for what we did eat was great. Wonderful service, great tasting items, and one of those fun little surprises one can find in New York City just by walking around and looking for something new. Recommended. Two apps, one entree and two drinks were $77 before tip.

Enjoyed our meal here with friends. Good cocktails and service. Fun tasting menu! It's very small and can get loud and crowded but that is part of the fun.

This is my favorite date night dinner spot in the village! SO SO good. You have to get the signature Mimi cocktail!

My wife and I dined at this small restaurant at the recommendation of a friend; we are forever indebted, as it was a fantastic experience. The restaurant is cozy and intimate, but has a surprisingly robust and varied food and wine menu. The Sommelier is quite impressive, and seems to have wines for every palate and budget. The food we ordered was mostly locally sourced, which was very cool too, but beyond that, it was just amazingly good. Honestly, this place is just a real treasure.
Iām definitely going back, and soon!
Great night
Great food served in wonderful atmosphere....Unfortunately our server was less than enthusiastic the entire night...had kind of an attitude which was disappointing.

small french resto in the village where you must reserve. excellent service, friendly welcome and really tasty and excellent food. short menu with good choice and an excellent not too expensive tasting menu too., I took the trout carpaccio followed by the pork chop. divine and manageable portions.

We pre-ordered a table for 21:45. Arrived from abroad, took a babysitter, quit a show in the middle, and arrived on time. There was no available table, and we were said that there's a table already paying the check. That wasn't true then, nor half an hour later. We had to leave, since there was no chance we can have a decent dinner and get back to the babysitter on time.
If a restaurant takes orders, and takes credit cards as a security, you may assume it will not overbook tables. Not here, anyway.
