Morihiro Los Angeles Reviews
This is a Michelin star restaurant? We had a 14 course meal.
Some of the plates were good (I wouldn't say great), but a good few of the sushi ones tasted old, or fish that had not been properly stored. The place is very lack-luster. Furniture that looked like it came from IKEA. Not much charm nor characte
A piece of metal was found in the bowl of miso soup.
This was shown to the waiter. The waiter examined it and took it away without saying anything. There was no apology and no explanation. At the end of the dinner I asked the waiter what the metal was. He said, oh that was probably a piece of steel woo
Best sushi we've ever had.
Good service and attention to detail. The handmade ceramics were super cool and they give us a bag of rice to take home. Just overall a great experience. Definitely a top (if not the top) LA spot
This was simply a dream.
The very unrevealing entry led to this temple of supreme flavor presentations. Everything from the elegant interior, to the chef-created pottery, to the super-attentive and knowledgeable staff was a first-class prelude, but wait they were quickly sur

.. Same with girlfriend. Got tested for norovius and was confirmed. Morihiro was reasonable and offered a refund if this was confirmed with documentation. Sent it over and received no refund, or apology. Really dismal situation involving dozens of em

Walked into Morihiro with high hopes and a thirst for chaos--Omakase, obviously. Drowned two bottles of their priciest sake like it was a Thursday in Shinjuku. This place does "skinny sushi". There's a term for this: Edomae-style, mini

The price point is high, as would be expected for a Michelin star restaurant, but the food just doesn't match. If you like very fishy, very salty sushi, then this place might be for you. I was surprised about the number of skin-on mackerels that

Morihiro was a solid omakase experience, but it's not as intimate as the other elevated omakase experiences in this price range...it was pretty crowded. There were only table seats the day we went, but we still enjoyed our dinner here. I was little

Maybe we are spoiled coming from Miami where the omakase scene is crushing it right now, but this was an unfortunately disappointing experience. The fish/seafood was solid in some aspects for sure but overall just felt kind of basic and not in like a

Wow. This was a perfect omakase experience. The place is nice and cozy with only a handful of tables. The food was incredible and every dish was delightfully different from each other. The service really was outstanding -- the best I've ever had. L
I was treated to this place by a friend a while back.
It's crazy. I used to live in Atwater Village like 20 years ago, and never thought it would have a sushi place that rakes in 1K for 2 people, lol! Anyway, they took over half the Vietnoodle bar space and made this nice, quite, unassuming Sushi resta

Every single detail from start of service to end (around 2 hours) was impeccable. What can I even say- the omakase at Morihiro is an adventure of flavor and texture- even if we didn't like everything put in front of us- it felt necessary and planned

Aside from its location in Atwater Village, Morihiro is a delight for the senses that will have you buzzing for a while.I usually start my reviews with a few words about the space, but in this case, I must start with the staff - they are wonderful.
Another amazing omakase place.
Parking was super easy in the front or in the lot across the street. We did the same pairing with our omakase and learned so much about the different type of sake. The sushi was very traditional and prepared very well. We also learned that the chef h

Morihiro is an incredible experience.
From the moment when you walk in and are escorted to your table, to when your server holds the door open for you on your way out this was one of the most unique experiences I've had. For the first time in America I felt transported back to Japan. Asi

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Morihiro Los Angeles at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Morihiro Los Angeles page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FatherlyCountry16, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's $200 bid.
* FatherlyCountry16 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FatherlyCountry16 for any questions Peter may have as FatherlyCountry16 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FatherlyCountry16 now uses their connections at Morihiro Los Angeles to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FatherlyCountry16 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FatherlyCountry16 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FatherlyCountry16's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Morihiro Los Angeles!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
