MOTOÏ Kyoto Reviews from The Last Year
A meal to remember..
I took my partner for a special birthday dinner and I could not have chosen a better place. The food is amazing, and the service is impeccable; from the moment they took our coats to the moment they walked us to the door. The staff are attentive and nothing feels too hard. Their English is great and you can feel that they want you to have an exceptional experience. To the staff at Motoi, well done, and thank you.
Fine and delicious
Very beautiful Christmas menu, enjoyed at lunch, the chef delighted us. The service lives up to the country and the establishment: Discreet, neat, respectful and attentive. Each dish is a delicate alliance of French and Japanese cuisine, refined, made from selected products (local for those who can be local). The setting is also refined and discreet, since from the street, one cannot guess the gentleness of the old Kyoto house which welcomes it. It was a real treat, a revelation too. Thank you and congratulations to the chef!
Amazing food and service
I booked this place 2 months in advance as a surprise for my husband for our anniversary! This place didn’t disappoint us at all. The food was very delicious and the service was top notch. Thanks to all the staff who made our day so special.

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
