This was my first time at NY Prime Minister the staff was friendly. Cracking jokes and making everyone feel comfortable. I am usually hesitant to take suggestions when it comes to the menu, but the waiter hit it out of the park with the stone crabs to start and the tomahawk to share.

This was my second time coming to New York Prime and the food was good but not as good as my previous visit. The service was top tier even with the large crowd.
Be the first to ReplyMy visit started off rocky.
I was seated and wasn't greeted for a while. Harr noticed me and immediately took care of me. Jason as well who is the operations manager. I did not expect it, but they took care of my drink, as well as my appetizers and gave me a dessert. This place is phenomenal and the people will go above and beyond to rectify it situation. the food was amazing. Try the crab cake if you go! 10/10
Be the first to ReplyNew York Prime has been one of my go-to's for their amazing
New York Prime has been one of my go-to's for their amazing tasting, Oysters Rockefeller. Another neighborhood Gem that's walking distance away from me. I've had the Cheese Mashed Potatoes, Sea Bass, Lamb Chops. Only issue, I really prefer Lollipops Lamb chops instead of the 10oz Lamb Chops Lion ( big difference) although, there's seems to be more meat, my preference is Lollipops Lamb Chops. NYP has an amazing Margarita Cocktail. The Ambiance is nice more of a evening vibe with low lighting. NYP was known for live entertainment however discontinued. The service is okay. NYP gets really busy so it's understandable.
Be the first to ReplyI had a reservation for 8:15 and wasn't seated until 8:30.
That was slightly irritating but we had the opportunity to talk to Cliff, the bartender. He was absolutely amazing 10/10 service. The food was delicious and the side portions are large! Our server did not meet our expectations but Jacob was able to help us throughout the night and he was spectacular. I'm so impressed with Cliff and Jacob. It had such an impact on our experience and definitely would recommend to others!
Be the first to ReplyThe food was exquisite in taste.
The service was fantastic with Lex, he made the experience extravagant. Definitely would recommend the bacon with steak sauce.
Be the first to Replythis steakhouse has been on my list for a while now so I
this steakhouse has been on my list for a while now so I figured it'd be a great time to come for my anniversary dinner! we were given some complimentary glasses of champagne to celebrate which was such a great way to start off the dinner. for starters, we ordered the crab cake. It was so flavorful and so delicious that words alone can not describe how good it was. for my steak, I had the 8oz petite filet. It was just soooo tender and so juicy. every bite was just heaven for me. they specialize in charring their steaks so you have the option to ask depending on your liking for regular char, less char, or even no char! my boyfriend had the 22oz bone-in ribeye. It was so huge, it was like the size of my face! it was very flavorful and just as tender as well! we also paired our steaks with the side of steak cut french fries which were really good because my boyfriend and I love fries, but we were so tempted to ordering so many other sides too because it sounded so good. lastly, we ordered the new york cheesecake with strawberries and it was so smooth and creamy, it had me in a trance! the service here was so nice and the staff were very welcoming. we even got a hand-written note to congratulate us on our anniversary! our server leonidas was super sweet and very helpful when it came to recommendations and explanations. we definitely plan to come back for another occasion!
Be the first to ReplyBest restaurant I have been to in a while.
We had a party of 5 and were seated under the palm tree and loved the ambience. Our waiter was outstanding and I can not remember his name, a gentleman with a pony tail and glasses and exceptional knowledge and service. My highlight was the lobster which he suggested and that and the baked potato were prepared table side. A classy detail was the candle warming the butter for the lobster. Also enjoyed the brussel sprouts and creamed spinach and servings were large enough to share. My friend ordered the stuffed chicken which looked great. Visiting from California I thought the prices were very reasonable.
Be the first to ReplyFirst class dining experience My husband selected New York
First class dining experience My husband selected New York Prime to celebrate my birthday. What an exceptional choice! The customer service was top notch. Even though we were a little early for our reservation, we were quickly seated. It was a lovely ambiance throughout the dining area, low lighting which allows for privacy and a more intimate setting. Our meal was quickly prepared and served hot. My husband selected crab cakes with onion rings and I selected sea bass with creamed spinach. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Our food was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Equally as exceptional as our meal was our server for the evening, Donte. He was warm and friendly. He treated us as if we were personal guests in his home. He was very knowledgeable about the menu offerings and made several excellent suggestions for our dining options.

Be the first to ReplyAvid steakhouse visitors and even one of us a server at one
Avid steakhouse visitors and even one of us a server at one ; my friend chose this place based on serving one of the bartenders that work HERE AT HIS restaurant based on their suggestion. We came here to celebrate his birthday. We had high hopes for the food and ambiance. I realize that there was no dress code which I do appreciate to a point, but without that I didn't understand the requirement to remove baseball caps (?) the second we were seated we were told about it but ppl were literally eating in caps/hats. I did address this immediately and felt singled out. Moving on, it took forever to be served bread, water. It was a bit busy and coming from serving experience we did not harp on it too much, but it did kind of set the tone for the evening. 3/4 of our cocktails were made well. The apps were very good! The bacon was immaculate! The apps surpassed the dinner. The baked potato presentation was really great made table side. The lamb was just ok, the steak was ok, and the bass was very dry. The broccolini was mostly stems, but flavorful. We were never asked if we were celebrating anything and had to ask for a bday dessert. By then a table next to us was made up for about 30+ ppl and videographers and photographers came in and disrupted everyone in the restaurant's dinner/evening. (That's atlanta for you!) i did ask the manager how a ball cap is distracting but strobe lights and 30 people yelling and videotaping etc is not and he was very defensive and taken aback at my comments. He was upset that my husbands hat was back on as we were exiting the establishment, but I felt defeated for my friends birthday and our experience so yes, hat back on and we left. They did end up calling the police - but as a restaurant there should be limitations on the # of people you allow reservations for before requiring a private room. Therefore I did not deserve that energy. I felt bad for our server who was trying his best despite the circumstances. We will definitely not be back and I regret ever spending time or that amount of money dining here for such a mediocre and disrespectful experience.
Be the first to ReplyHad my 30th birthday dinner here and everything was amazing.
Wish I could remember my servers name because he was such a sweetheart.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely horrendous experience.
Started by sitting in the enclosed patio which did not prevent the rain from flooding in, soaking our party of 4, shoes and wife's coat. Next up the wind almost toppled a heater next to us but nothing could compare to the treatment by the Geno Dew, the maitre'd for what occurred next. An adjacent table with whom ours had zero conversation with, upon leaving as we were getting our dinner, approached our table in total lunatic breakout. Threatening us, cussing, berating, completely insane. Once escorted out leaving us in complete shock, all that Dew could offer was to "enjoy your meal"! He was more concerned with our calling the police, speaking with others for contact info than the ridiculous harmful experience we'd just encountered. Was an absolute joke, we were devastated and Dew did NOTHING to recognize and console our group. His condescending and arrogant attitude was a disgrace to any/all "5 star" restaurants. Do yourself a favor and stay with Rathbun's, Hals or Bones...even Waffle House! They treat all customers with class and go above and beyond!
Be the first to ReplyIf i could leave a - I would.
The crabmeat cocktail was the best thing on the entire menu, followed by the blue wedge salad dressing. Unfortunately, the steaks were nothing speciaI, especially given the price point. The atmosphere has a "chain" feel but seemed lively indoors. We, unfortunately, were seated on the patio in a puddle of water with wind gusts over 40 mph. The large heaters would sway side to side, creating a dangerous and nerve-racking dining experience. We literally held our breath each time a big gust would blow in, anticipating a large heater toppling over on us and other patrons. Needless to say, our clothing and shoes quickly became wet, and we were very cold and uncomfortable. We made the GM Geno Drew aware of the situation; however, he dismissed our concerns with a flippant comment. Rather surprised and disappointed by his attitude, we laughed it off and continued to make the best of it. We were served apps and salad quickly, but it was a while before our entrees were served. Two of us excused ourselves to the ladies' room only to find, one of 3 toilets inoperable, and no towels with which to wipe your hands. Also, one of the sinks was stopped up with paper towels and tissue, and the stench was unbearable. Very unsanitary! When we finally returned to our table, our waitress served the entrees. Then, a 'roid-raging man and his foul-mouthed companion got up from their table, moved to our table, leaned over me and verbally assaulted my husband, and threatened bodily harm, while the women shouted obscenities. We were speechless but maintained composure and sat calmly. We did not respond to their lunacy, wanting to avoid an escalation of violence. We were utterly humiliated and embarrassed, however, beating the brunt of this outburst. After they left, NO ONE from the restaurant bothered to check on us. Instead, manager Geno told us to "enjoy our meal" only after we requested to have a word with him. I have never been treated with such disdain nor been disrespected in such a manner. It's truly shocking! Is this standard policy of New York Prime? Do they train managers and personnel to treat diners rudely and dismiss legitimate concerns? My advice for those in Atlanta looking for a truly delicious steak in fine dining tradition is to go to RATHBUN'S! You will be so glad you did!

Be the first to ReplyI made a dinner reservation for 3 to celebrate my wife's
I made a dinner reservation for 3 to celebrate my wife's bday. I made a note on the reservation saying that it's a bday and asking if I can bring a cake. They call me back, confirm the reservation, and say that it's all good and they will bring a slice of cake with a candle. Awesome, right? Not really, right after dinner the waitress asks bluntly if we want any deserts/coffee. And apparently no one bothered to entertain our request, which was confirmed by them. Our waitress was nice and all but should have done a better job confirming the asks for the table and food was just OK. So our experience is reflected in this review, in the tip and in my next reservation which will never be for this restaurant. The valet guys were really nice, I doubled their tip instead.

Absolutely amazing food, friendly service and great drinks! We loved it so much we can again the following weekend and it's now become a regular place!
Be the first to ReplyBest steakhouse in Atlanta.
Great food and great service. You can make reservations through Opentable (highly recommend doing so). Visited around 8pm on a Friday night. Started with a seafood platter of colossal srhimp, oyster rockefellar, stone crabs, and an order of the thick cut sizzling bacon. It was all delicious. Some of the best oysters I've had. For main dishes, all the steaks are served a la carte, and you order side dishes for the table. We ordered the petite new york strip, the petite filet, and the bone-in ribeye. All of the steaks were cooked perfectly. For sides we orered the brussels sprouts, hash browns, cheese mashed potatoes, fettuccine alfredo, as well as a lobster for the table. Every single dish was so delicious. Highly highly recommend this place.
Be the first to ReplyIn a word, DISAPPOINTING.
The main failure was the inadequate service, but the food also left something to be desired. It started with our wedding anniversary reservation request for a "quiet, intimate table", but we were seated in a noisy spot and had to fight to hear each other. Disappointing, considering there was a quiet booth ten feet away that was empty all evening, next to an identical booth where another couple was seated. In an of itself this wouldn't have been a big deal, but it was an omen of things to come. The wine was served promptly, as were the salads, but we would have much preferred eating our salads with our steaks. Our waiter never bothered to ask, though. My wife's steak was overcooked, which is not excusable considering the establishment. I proceeded to eat my bone-in ribeye but after two mouth fulls of pure fat I started inspecting the pieces. I cut through half of the steak before I found a piece that wasn't just fat. By fat, I do NOT mean marbling. I have eaten many, many prime cuts of beef and the bone-in ribeye is my favorite. This beef was garbage and should've never left the kitchen. It took a while to flag down our waiter, then he reported back that all of their ribeyes would be the same as the one I was served so I ordered a bone-in fillet instead. This is the first time in my life that I have every rejected a ribeye steak, even at your basic "Longhorn" type chain restaurant. It took quite a while for the new steak to arrive, so the chef seemed in no hurry. By this time my appetite was gone so I took a bit or two of the fillet and was done. The evening was capped off with the unnecessary rudeness of the valet attendant. All-in-all, a memorable evening, but not in a good way. I can say with great confidence that you will do better going to Fleming's, Bones, Pampas, or many other local steakhouses. To be perfectly fair, I must say that the restaurant staff was very pleasant and friendly, particularly the wine steward.
Be the first to ReplyOrdered crab cakes, preparation very underwhelming.
Literally had to put them into the oven once I had gotten home.
Be the first to ReplyI've tried a few of the Steakhouses in Buckhead but have to
I've tried a few of the Steakhouses in Buckhead but have to give it to New York Prime, they are phenomenal! The Pittsburgh style finish to the steaks throws them over the top! The ambiance & service makes the meal feel more like an Event! I recommend the fried lobster tail as an appetizer followed by the bone in filet, if available, with the corn & cheesy mashed potatoes as sides!
Be the first to ReplyThe food is great.
The lobsters are HUGE!$$$$The location is weird and hard to find at first. Just know that its right across the street from Lenex mall in buckhead.
Be the first to ReplyWe just so happened to find this place after attempting to
We just so happened to find this place after attempting to go to another spot that had a strict dress code. I had New York Prime on my list of restaurants to try out anyway so it worked out fine. We parked in a parking garage next to the restaurant which came up to $18 so not a fan of that. I think we were only there for about 2 hours. They do have valet so maybe we should've opted for that route instead. We didn't have a reservation so the hostess stated there'd be a wait unless we wanted to sit at the bar which we did. The bar was full so we lucked up to find 2 open spots. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. We had the center cut ribeye medium-well but I think I should've gotten it medium because it was almost well done. I'm glad I had bearnaise as a dipping sauce for the steak or it would've been a bit too tough to enjoy. We also had the Garlic chicken which was delicious. It tasted as if it came straight off the grill. Juicy, tender, and flavorful. Our sides were the crispy Brussel sprouts (no seasoning and almost burnt) and cheesy mashed potatoes (loved them). Nice ambiance with a nice roar of the patrons in the restaurant.
