The worst customer service you'll ever get at a 5 star
The worst customer service you'll ever get at a 5 star hotel. If you can book elsewhere I highly suggest doing so. They are rude to white people and they blatantly disregard your order request in the restaurant/tell you what to order. Only good thing about this hotel is the spa.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely incredible hotel experience.
I love Nobu the restaurant but never knew they offered hotel expectations.Very quaint space but utilized the space very well. Had nice amenities all over - room service, gym, spa, etc. Easy walk to the Shoreditch nightlife. It is a little tricky requesting an Uber would suggest walking to a near road. Staff will also request cab as request. Also have to shoutout the diverse staff. Every time I walked to the front there was a diverse staff member, I love to see it!

I love the design, thoughtful detail, symmetry, heated bathroom floors, privacy, space-saving extras. Also the slippers are very soft.

Overall this is a great hotel in terms of price, location, staff and services. However there are a few places where design trumps functionality that keep this hotel out of the top tier. Small things. First is the lack of a functional work space. The little round table and rock hard chair don't cut it. This is important for business travelers. Second was the odd smells emanations from the vents in the bathroom which seems to come from the restaurant. We moved rooms from the fifth to fourth floor which was better however there was a feint smell of grilled cheese. The doors on the closets close on you if you don't prop them open and the edges are sharp. There is no handle on the blackout panel, which is ingenious, which makes it hard to close. And everything is black. Makes the room dark and hard to plug things in. The light controls were arcane and hard to figure out. Two towels are not enough for two people. There was a singular lack of instructions which necessitated repeated calls to the front desk. There was also quite a bit of construction noise during the day. All that said the staff was fantastic, restaurant great, water temp good, the room was clean, if small. And I love the Shoreditch area -- it's hip and convenient to everything.
Be the first to ReplyFabulous experience.
Rooms are a little tight, but beautifully appointed. Could t have been happier with our choice.

I didn't even care to leave the hotel and explore London! The room was so peaceful and cozy. The bathroom floors are heated which was great since we visited in December and it was quite chilly. They put waters by our beds, which I loved. Towels were huge, and fluffy. Did I mention...I don't want to leave!!!
Be the first to ReplyMy daughter was at this Hotel for a business trip.
On her arrival they wanted a $500 deposit on the room for any incidentals , which they assured her would be put back on her credit card as soon as she checked out. On her next to last night, her wallet /passport were stolen while at the hotel bar. She had to extend her visit by 3 nights as the embassy was closed Saturday , Sunday and a Monday for a legal holiday. I had to wire the hotel an additional $500 for the 3 nights as all her cards were stolen. The hotel refused to use the $500 deposit they were holding. Upon arrival back home, she received an email stating she was overcharged for her additional 3 day stay and they asked for info. so they could wire the $ into my checking account. It has now been almost 2 months and after numerous phone calls to the hotel, the $500 and the over charge have not been refunded.
Be the first to ReplyStayed here for 10 days and loved every minute.
Beautiful, modern Japanese design. Beds are really comfortable. Hotel rooms are quiet and roomy (for London standards). Every single staff member was extremely professional, courteous, and very helpful. Ate at the restaurant and drank at the bar multiple times and had nothing but pleasant experiences with staff and excellent food. I will definitely stay/eat/drink here again. Highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyAn absolutely fantastic visit that deserves all stars.
we will definitely go back again.

I may be the odd person out on this hotel and restaurant, but I found this hotel to try really hard to be different but it can't seem to get the basics right. The entire hotel has motion sensing/time controlled lighting, but it doesn't quite work. About half the time I couldn't see in the halls or on the way to the gym. The room lighting should come with an instruction book... its very complicated. The bar and restaurant are ridiculously over priced and service miniscule portions. While Chef Nobu may be the founder the sushi rice would not hold together, and the pork belly meat roll was way too greasy. The breakfast menu is not economically feasible, and the alternative breakfast buffet while adequate suffers from poor service. Getting a cup of coffee in the morning does not need the pageantry of a Japanese tea service. And if you want eggs with your breakfast buffet, probably should call them in before you go down to breakfast. In six breakfasts not once was I able to get eggs without asking at least twice. I know, I know but for a £ 2,000 bill I expect a better experience.

An absolutely lovely visit that deserves all the stars! We were in central London on the Sunday before the August Bank holiday Monday and it was my other half's birthday. We were overheated and didn't want to sit on the tube home and thought, hey, let's be spontaneous and we checked HotelTonight to see if there were any offers that were appealing. Nobu Hotel came up at a good price so we took the plunge and booked it, at around 2.50pm. We were there in 20 minutes, with only a small problem finding the right place (the hotel is new and not quite finished completely so there are construction vehicles around that make the hotel a bit harder to see from the end of the road). We walked in and the entrance was lovely, unsurprisingly very Japanese - which continued through the hotel - and smelled lovely. We were quickly greeted and checked in. I mentioned it was my husband's birthday - not for an upgrade but just because I like to make a fuss of him! We got the room class we paid for but that was perfectly fine! The tv is huge, the bed comfy, and the decor chic and lovely. The aircon worked well and the room was quiet (until about 10am the next morning when the construction started, but it wasn't loud to be honest). So we immediately changed into the complimentary robes and started lounging when there was a knock at the door - and it was a lovely fruit plate with a birthday card. That's so classy! The tv has an HDMI input by the bed, as well as being an Apple TV (so I linked it to my phone and watched some Amazon Prime - technology kills me). All the power points also have a USB port which was handy for our charging. There is a fridge with posh minibar items, and just so many sweet touches. In the morning when we checked out a different person served us than the night before but he still remembered the birthday (before we told him the room number or anything) and checkout was a breeze. They do take a £1 donation for a community fund.Room service menu looked as amazing as you'd imagine, but we went for Deliveroo as the choices in that area are soooo varied, and popped up to Dishoom for brunch (tasty but slloooowwww). I'd totally come back to this hotel for a treat, or if I can get an amazing price again, I'd go back for no reason except to be pampered.A great addition to the London hotel scene - luxury at a fair price with amazing staff.
