Restaurants that are this hyped up are normally a let down but I gotta say... Nobu really lived up to the hype for me. Went on a Friday night after making a reservation the day prior. They offer valet parking (not sure on the price) but there is also a free parking garage directly next to the restaurant if you don't want to pay. On a Friday night, the restaurant was pretty slow. Plenty of tables remained open throughout my time there. Our waitress did an amazing job of walking us through the menu as first timers and giving us her recommendations which were all awesome. Here is some of what we ordered: Shishito peppers - AMAZING. I loved these so much. We ended up getting three orders of these.Yellowtail jalapeno - yellowtail tasted very fresh and basically melted in your mouth. Really good!Red Snapper with dry miso - I mean WOW. The dry miso really just makes any fish taste so much better. Can't go wrong with this dish.Nobu Oysters - Oysters were fresh but this was probably our least favorite dish of the night. I can't remember what exactly comes on this oysters but we both did not like these very much :( just a preference thing though.Salmon belly- some of the best salmon belly I have ever had. Very fresh and moist.Yellowtail - Favorite of the night. We ended up getting a few of these. MUST TRY!Tataki A5 Wagyu - I really was expecting this to blow my mind. It was flavorful enough but for the price point ($4o per oz) it just fell short for us. A little chewier than I would have liked. We also got to try some of their Sake which were 10/10. Additionally, our server recommended the hibiscus sour which was so good and so pretty! Our dinner for two (4 cocktails) came out to around $350 without gratuity. Price is definitely high but you are paying for high quality ingredients. I can't wait to come back!
