We ate in the upper restaurant, which was more like tapas.
Everything was outrageously great! A must do place!
Be the first to ReplyTasty food with interesting components.
I had the pork pun as a nice snack before the main menu, and it was awesome. Everything was good and had little bursts of flavor here and there. I really recommend the place for the great food, though some components were maybe superfluous to the overall taste of the dish.
Be the first to ReplyA truly excellent meal and unbelievable value.
They have two 3-course menus available (one for 425 kr and one for 475 kr, roughly $43 or $48) or you can order a la carte. The food was all exceptional, the service was great, and the atmosphere was fun. Highly, highly recommended; I might be back before I leave Stockholm.

Favourite meal in Stockholm! Being on vacation for an extended amount of time, all the meals tend to blend together. However, the foie and duck dumplings and the veal main entree are things that I won't forget! Make sure you make a reservation as the place was very full even on a Tuesday evening. Will definitely stop by again whenever we are in Stockholm next!

The food here was good, but it was the service that was impeccable. Few places achieve attentive service without the slightest hint of snobbery, but Nook does it. Our waiter, whose name I forget, patiently explained the menu to us, gave us wine recommendations (any wine they have by the bottle is also available by the glass), and kept communicating between me and the kitchen regarding my allergies. Was it okay if the pork was marinated in garlic and onion but there were no pieces? Was I lactose intolerant or lactoprotein intolerant? Wow - I didn't even know the difference myself. Now, onto the food. I had the 380kr set menu, and my boyfriend had the 420kr set menu. I would describe the place as Asian fusion.- Salmon: Wow! Baked ever so slightly so that it is still basically raw, it just melts in your mouth like butter and meshes perfectly with the eggplant puree and roe. The fried fish skin chips were also a nice addition.- Pork loin: Now, I think it was because they had to cook the pork completely differently to accomodate my allergies, but I found it a little rough and way too salty. Maybe the normal pork loin that they serve is better.- Dessert: Not many comments here. Chocolate sorbet was very good.Portions definitely run on the smaller side though, so order some snacks from their menu to go with your set dinner. Would definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in Stockholm.
Be the first to ReplyThis review is exclusively for Nook's bar menu.
Came in here late Thursday for a quick bite and drink with a group of 4. The dining room was full, so the hostess directed us to the bar area for a drink. Fortunately for us... the bar menu was exactly what we needed! What you need to do:Order the FLรSKLรGG - what is this? It's a gigantic platter with a delicious crispy pork knuckle, lettuce, baos, kimchi, pickled cucumber, hoisin sauce and mayo, and other veggies. You create little sandwiches and lettuce wraps with the ingredients and go to town.I can't emphasize how delicious this platter is. Seriously. It's one of the best things I have EVER eaten. It says it's made for 2 - but our group of 4 found it more than enough food!Start off with some beers and some of their appetizers too! You will come out happy and full!!

The bar restaurant is very nice and the bartender is knowledgeable about wines. We shared the pork bun platter which was plenty to feed up to 4 people. Highly recommended. The front part of the restaurant is also nice and good value for money. The snacks are ok.

There are some guides out there saying this is a korean fusion restaurant, but after talking with our server, turns out it's really not.The head chef is Korean, but the food is a random hodge podge of culinary deliciousness. We started with the salmon bun (GET IT) and continued on with taretare, scallops with dashi, and finished with the roasted duck. The server helped us with wine parings that we were able to split, which was much appreciated. Definitely highly recommended if you're in town for some creative and tasty food.
Be the first to ReplyNook is not a restaurant, it is an experience.
While some places with white gloves and overly attentive waitstaff might put a lot of effort into achieving perfection, Nook does so without any of the fuss or hassle- the kind of place where any person would never feel out of place- regardless of what they ordered. Our waitstaff was kind and full of stories about the Stockholm and the food itself, and everything was suggested, prepared, and served with care. These people seemed to take almost as much delight in food almost as they did in the kinds of intimate connections food can foster. The delight of sharing with a dining partner is that you get to sample both menus (though a la carte ordering is possible, I suggest you trust them- they know what they are doing). Each sequence was constructed with highs and lows like a mix tape made for a lover, and it was a pleasure to spend time with people who love food and the stories it can tell in this way. The menu always changes and even though this was my first time here it seems like the kind of place where every time feels like the first adventure. Just to share what we had for a preview- a salmon steamed bun, a sea bean salad, a button mushroom cockerel, a slow-roasted lamb with celeriac, hake in a miso chicken glaze with Kale and pickled onion, and a sea Hawthorne sorbet dessert, as well as a malt ice cream and apple finisher. I am not a particularly educated wine person, so I deferred to the suggestions they offered for each course and was so happy I did! One menu felt like an early autumn night spent indoors roasting chestnuts with close friends, while the other felt like a cool late summer evening with a brisk sea breeze. Both were beautiful in their own way. Nook is less expensive than the more well-known places in town, but it seems to have so much more heart- and I am thrilled to have discovered them during my short Stockholm stay. This was a meal to remember.

I will second every 5 star review given to this wonderful place. So wonderful, that I'm writing my second review on yelp.Nook serves 2 options of 3 course meals, with the possibility of ordering other appetizers. If I remember correctly, they change their menu every week or two. Their ingredients are supplied by local vendors. The service is amazing. The staff take their time to walk you through the menu, explain the dishes as the serve them, and recommend wonderful pairings. The food is just perfect.

Where to begin, The restaurant is in a sleepy part of Sรถdermalm. Which apparently has become the hip part of town. ย It is a small and clean resteraunt with very attentive waitstaff. This is comparatively one of the least expensive progressive, modern restaurants we have visited in Stockholm to date. Two appetizers, two three course meals, and a reasonably priced bottle of champagne came in at roughly $200 USD with a tip, $70 of it being the champagne. The menu is designed as a three course meal with additional optional starters. The waitstaff were very knowledgeable about wine parings and offered a different glass for each of the dishes. We do not reccomend getting a starter unless you are extremely hungry we found it hard to move onto desert because we were already full. As usual we decided to get both of the menu options and split everything, which turned out to be a brilliant idea. All of the dishes were perfectly crafted with particular attention being paid to texture complexity with great seasonal choices. ย As for the particular dishes, we have included a photo of the menu for when we visited. There were too many to list everything. ย However for an overall summary it was definitely five stars. The dishes were slightly Asian inspired but primarily focused on a ton of local Swedish, and European flavours.
