Nusr-Et Steakhouse London Reviews from The Last Year
What a phenomenal experience.
Warm hospitality from the moment you walk in. Outstanding food with exceptional attention to detail. So many employees, from all different positions, touched the table, including the manager. Really looked after us! Amazing teamwork, food was great and beautifully presented
Had a great birthday dinner experience.
Food was amazing! Friendly service with great ambiance.
Overpriced place owned by a person who likes to flash the expensive receipts of the customer
Skyrocketing price for a steakhouse. Is not a Michelin restaurant so those price are absolutely outrageous. Anyway, the reviews on google are blocked so I guess something is going on to keep them at a decent 2,9 otherwise it will be much worse. I hope this review is not going to be cancelled
Saturday night in the city can't expect too much.
.. it's a given everyone is out on a Saturday night , probably was a DJ night kinda vibe. The food was good .. shared the tomahawk for 2 and it was phenomenal. The tables were so close together that I felt a little squished. The upside waiters were available when needed. Personally, I prefer the other location, more low key, which is my personal preference.
enjoy life because it's only one ❤️
those who criticize are because they are gnawing!! very good meat, rich salad, really good and very abundant for 2 people (24 pounds), 600g of space meat, £280 will be a little more expensive than the competitors but here you also pay for the show, impeccable service! live music, a place with attention to the smallest details, a beautiful and delicious experience, we were also lucky to be served by Him in person. CONGRATULATIONS TO TRY!!!!
GO TO ANY OTHER STEAKHOUSE EXCEPT THIS ONE!
Overcooked steak. Apparently in this place, med-rare means to make a steak grey in the middle! That's new. Unbelievably pushy waiter trying to upsell at any opportunity he gets. Not his fault, but it reflects on your crap service culture here. Maybe if you took the effort that your staff puts into upselling instead into the cooking, you'd have much better food. Also it's amazing when you charge three times the price at Hawksmoor but have three times smaller portions and steak quality three grades lower than them too. At least you weren't too inspired by the gold on the World Cup to put gold in my water and charge it 15 bucks... oh wait, it's already that price even without the gold! The only person who deserves any gold here is me, I need a gold medal for walking out of this place faster than I've left anywhere else before, and just to make things better, my £29 dinner at flat iron was so much more satisfying. STAY AWAY
not good
I do not recommend it, it is very expensive and the food is like x, pure show but in reality it has no quality, it is not worth going, it is pure propaganda
Very good, but overrated!
Location: very fine and refined, open kitchen with meat on display and strategic position in the heart of London. Menu: unlike the starters (which are 3 or 4) there are several meats to choose from, the quality must be said to be very high, we took a wagyu and an entrecote. Service: easy booking, pleasant welcome apart from the jackets not being put in the wardrobe for everyone, while the service at the tables was impeccable. Prices: very high like the quality of the meat!! But still expensive compared to the norm where you can eat the same meat at much lower prices.
Terrible
The biggest scam ever, food was undercooked and tasted awful. Staff were rude, such an overpriced scam, stick to your local restaraunts and would be much nicer and cheaper
An average experience
Average experience, would not recommend; selected a set lunch menu: asked for a well done meat-was given medium, asked for a fruit cup for a dessert-was given am ice cream, wine was excellent though.
Avoid it like the plague
Sorry but this is probably the worst experience I had in a restaurant in London. service was awful more than 1 hour to bring the salad starter (after several complaints), meat was tasteless... service appalling. I was invited here and I went out of curiosity but I will certainly not come back. (Forgot to say I am from Argentina and I know a thing or 2 about meat, this is not the place). Only thing it has going for it is that it is a nice space. Otherwise stay away.
Delicious food and lovely staff.
I had a abssolutely great night with my friend. All the staff was looking after us and they were so lovely and caring. Asking us how's everything was going all the time and so cheerful . The price was good , for what we got it was great. Definitely going again.
Don’t bother!!!
Have visited the restaurant in London at the end of December a family of 2+2 kids ! We were welcomed just fine. Have selected the 40 pounds menu ! Once we did this their attitude changed ! They just served us making us feel uncomfortable !!!! They brought us a different wine than the one we chose , double the price, even though it was the same name . The food was ok but not worth the money we have paid We ended up paying a 350 pounds bill It just don’t deserve it !!!!!
I actually went to the one in London.
We had the A5 Japanese Wagyu. Wow. A bomb and their signature cocktail Godfather. I can't drink. But I heard it's also fabulous. Must go!
I am very shocked that people are not happy with this
I am very shocked that people are not happy with this restaurant. Yes it is expensive, but to me it was worth every penny. I went for my birthday, it was so good I had to come back within 2 weeks. My friend made reservations for 4 people on a Thursday night for my birthday. The restaurant wasn't too packed which was great. They had a DJ playing music, but it wasn't too loud which I like, and it wasn't music that is on the radio. Which is fine as well. From the time we walked in we were greeted in a way that actually felt welcoming. My friends and I are all black and sometimes when I go to restaurants where the majority of the white staff, I can get a welcome but it will sometimes not feel sincere. At Nusret, it was the exact opposite. They felt happy that we were there. They genuinely seemed excited that we were there. Our waiter Ali was amazing! He tended to us on hand and foot. Which I can understand why some guest might not like that because it can feel like hovering. But for me, I love that your right there at the drop of the dime when I need the waiter. The drinks were amazing, one of the best margaritas I've ever had. Also I was never a fan of lychee martinis but after trying my friends drink, that's all I decided to have the rest of the night. Also there was a very sweet black woman that brought us our drinks, she was lovely! So we ordered the $500.00 wagyu steak for 4 and let me tell you. It was the best steak I've ever had in my life! And I go to steakhouses(Jakes, Stk, Gordon Ramsey, Ruth Chris, old homestead). I don't play when it comes to steak. And this steak was by far the best steak I've ever had and all my friends who are steak eaters( we eat our steak medium rare), also agreed. I love that Ali put on a show for us, with the fog on the table. Which I see some people don't like, what's not to like about that?! Also the Salt Bae guys( since the real salt bae was not there, the restaurant has other substitutes for guys that come out to the table and does the same thing Salt bae does, which was fine with me) we're amazing. They fed me the steak which MELTED in my mouth. I literally felt like a princess! My experience was soo wonderful, I told my boyfriend about it and he didn't believe it was the best steak I've ever had. I came back within 2 weeks with my boyfriend, on a Saturday, had Ali again as my server, and my boyfriend now agrees that it was the best steak he's ever had. We are actually going back again on New Years Eve. The sides were also delicious,we had the onion tower, the Mac and cheese, and I think spinach. I haven't tried any other steak this place offers so maybe I am being biased because wagyu steak is a very great cut of steak. But this place checks all the boxes for me, great food, great drinks, great service. I honestly can't get enough of this place. If I was rich I would probably be there once a week. Definitely my favorite steakhouse now.
Our second visit.
Disappointed. It's all about the experience. Brought family four this time. Unfortunately we felt rushed and the food was just okay which makes you feel it's WAY WAY over priced. Our waiter was kind of smug. Quick answers. Not engaging. Ordered the Filet - came with mushrooms and onions. We excluded that since we don't like onions and it was very bland with no flavor for $72. Crazy. Waiter said they have no sauce available. Thank goodness we ordered a filet for two special doused in butter at the table. We all used that to add flavor to the filets. Overall I think for $475 for four people you can find another steak house with more quality. Our experience last time was fun. YMMV depends on who your waiter is...
Friday night and only one table occupied at 830 should have
Friday night and only one table occupied at 830 should have been the first clue that this was going to be a terrible experience. They ended up closing an hour early bc no one was inside. We soon found out why no one was there. We ordered the ny strip, then the server proceeded to pour liquid nitrogen around it, under the impression this was something we were looking forward to. A cold steak wasn't exactly what I had anticipated enjoying tonight, but it got worse when I actually tried to eat it. The steak wasn't just cold, it tasted awful. Asked if there was any bearnaise, steak sauce or just butter to help, they only have ketchup. Save yourself a few $100 and go anywhere else. This restaurant is stale, generic, and overpriced for some of the lowest quality steak I've ever eaten.
Terrible food! Food is overrated go to a real steak house
Terrible food! Food is overrated go to a real steak house and save your money. It was mainly an internet sensation and prices are way high for what you get. Most people just go here for saying did that, done. But you can get great food for a lot less in so many places in NYC. Steak is too fatty and to oily. Would go to Sparks or other steak houses instead of this one. Also many other restaurants offer better Turkish food.
if you're gonna go here -- get the burger!!!! from my
if you're gonna go here -- get the burger!!!! from my understanding the steaks are overpriced and not good but the burger was literally amazing. it's halal and it's probably the best burger i've ever eaten. melt in your mouth type of meat. i honestly think it's worth the price point given the quality. the place was absolutely dead on a monday night so we literally had the restaurant to ourselves. that being said, service was absolutely not up to par with other steakhouses of the same caliber. waiters are simply not trained the way that they should be to work at a fine dining restaurant. not the perfect experience, but if you want a really good burger and don't care about service it's worth it imo.
From start to finish everything was absolutely on point.
A truly unforgettable experience and would 100% recommend and would go back again!
