π 4/5 - This lovely little Japanese spot sits a bit hidden in

This lovely little Japanese spot sits a bit hidden in flatiron. You may miss it on the street and when you walk in the speakeasy vibe might make you wonder. Rest assured, behind the back door sits a beautiful omakase room. It is quiet, it is clean, it is beautiful. I think this atmosphere is a big part of why they have earned one Michelin star. The service is stellar and the pace of the meal is perfect. The food is very good. Each dish is solid. I could pick apart little things but I won't. Both soup dishes were the highlight. I will do wish there was more sushi. And I feel the lunch course load for the price is maybe one or two courses lacking. Not my favorite Japanese tasting menu in town, but still solid and worth a try. Ps I think they are now open for dinner too.
