Well deserving of their one Michelin star! We went with the shorter tasting menu for dinner and was pleasantly full by the end. The entire meal was delightful from start to finish and service was excellent. Price is fairly reasonable too. Ambiance is classy, quiet and fairly cozy/ intimate. Had a great time!

This restaurant was amazing! We did the traditional tasting menu. All of the dishes were amazing and full of flavor. The wine paring was also perfect. My personal favorite dish was the tempura hake. As someone who doesn't like seafood this meal has changed my mind. The service was really good, the servers were very attentive and friendly. The restaurant itself was very nice with especially with the pond in the middle. There were a lot of stairs to get to the restroom so that may be an issue for some. Overall a great experience and worth trying if you have the opportunity.

Exceptional food, drinks and service. The Spicy Margarita was beyond delightful and a great way to start the meal. One of our servers Paola was so lovely - professional, funny, personable and more. Highly recommend!

I am an executive chef right outside of San Francisco and my husband and I came to Oria for lunch. We travel quite a bit (often based around food) and we both agreed this was one of the better tasting menus we've had anywhere. We had around 18 dishes/small bites and every dish was good, more than a handful were exceptional, and the wine pairings were incredible (all local). They showcased local products in an elevated way without sacrificing flavor, the service was highly attentive without being invasive and we felt the price was reasonable for the quality of the dishes and ingredients. I've often been disappointed or felt ripped off at Michelin starred restaurants, but at Oria we left feeling that it really was worth the star and price tag. We usually have quite high standards for meals and this was wonderful from beginning to end.
Be the first to ReplyBarcelona is home to numerous Michelin starred restaurants
Barcelona is home to numerous Michelin starred restaurants so it was hard choosing one. I knew that I wanted to go during lunch since it was going to be a large meal. We ended up choosing Oria for their executive lunch menu at 65 euros which was a bargain compared to what you can get here in the states. However the day of, we all decided to opt for the traditional menu which was 100 euros, which is also not bad! Starting off , they asked if we would like champagne. We all said yes and the server generously poured glasses of Louis Roederer "Collection 242" for our party of 7. Not sure why but I thought that it was included in the menu- we found out when we received the invoice that each glass was 20 euros , which wasn't too bad. The wine prices here wasn't bad at all actually-my partner who has an affinity for nice wines ordered a bottle of 2010 Vega Sicilia for 530 euros, not too bad of a markup. Now the food, everything was delicious. Abdul did a good job at explaining all the food that came out. There was so much attention in everything that was brought out. The traditional menu was more seafood forward which I appreciated. My favorite was probably the fish and the pork. The pork almost melted in your mouth. The entire experience was 3 hours long , I couldn't believe how long we stayed there. I highly recommend Oria for your fine dining experience in Barcelona.

Incredible service, amazing bite in each taste, and the wine list was an actual list for Spain. The classic tasting menu will definitely leave you happy and full. This was a well deserved Michelin Star restaurant because the service matched the food. Service never missed a beat and was always quietly watching and anticipating your needs. For example, during bread service, I'm a crust only girl, so I tend to leave the filling out. I noticed that our server, Abdul, who is so sweet and attentive, mentioned to the other servers to only give us bread that was mostly crust, and they both delivered. The chef also came out to greet us, which is always a nice touch.
Be the first to ReplyOria fully deserves its Michelin star.
We went for broke with the 100€ tasting menu, which was outstanding. Two highlights of the 10 courses were the octopus carpaccio salad and the second coffee-laden desert. Every course was great. Unconditionally recommend it.

Fantastic! Visited during my vacation with family to Barcelona. Was able to get a table at short notice as we stayed at the Monument Hotel. Lived up to its Michelin stars. Gastronomie at its best! A beautiful experience. The restaurant manager was equally great and offered us a variety of free culinary delights. Love it! Will definitely visit over and over again. Bon Vivant!!

Great food and service; the wagyu beef was absolutely delicious and all of their menu items, drinks included, were definitely priced super reasonably for a Michelin star restaurant. Would check it out if you're vacationing in Barcelona. Note that attire is formal and the earliest reservations are around 8/830 PM for dinner

I had the 6 course chef's custom menu and it was delicious! However, the 1 star review is for how I felt the next day and how the restaurant dealt with the issue. I got sick the very next morning and couldn't eat or drink anything (even water) for the whole day. I was miserable! My whole day of sight seeing plans were canceled and all I wanted to do was lay in bed. I went back to the restaurant the day after to inform them I got sick from dining with them (since I stayed at the Monument Hotel where the restaurant is located) and was told they would talk to my hotel and see if there's anything they could do. I checked with my hotel the following day and apparently that conversation never happened. So at the end of the day, I got sick from eating at a Micheline star restaurant and neither the restaurant or the 5-star hotel I stayed did anything about it. I guess they just don't care enough?

It's been one of my bucket list goals to try a Michelin star restaurant. Fortunately Barcelona has many of them, with a lot of them being relatively affordable and fairly easy to get reservations. Oria is located in the Monument Hotel. The inside is beautiful and spacious. Service was very attentive and friendly. They did a good job of explaining all of the dishes they brought out. I didn't see this on the menu online, but they were offering an option where you name your price (anywhere between 50 and 100 euros), and the chef will "surprise you". I was given about 10 courses. The items seem small, but I was still full at the end of the meal. Some of my favorites were the oyster dish, fish, ice cream & granite, and coconut ice cream. I loved the balance of textures and flavors in each dish. There were only a couple of items I thought were overly pretentious (marshmallow cube w/ coconut flakes). Overall I thoroughly enjoyed almost all the food, and it was a fun experience. In the beginning they ask for any allergies or dislikes. I stated "chocolate". Despite this they still tried to give me a chocolate dish for my petit fours. There was also a bone in my fish. The pacing of the meal was also not timed well. The first few rounds came by fast, to the point where I couldn't savor my meal and felt rushed. The last third was a lot of dead time waiting for the next course. I feel like these kind of mistakes shouldn't happen at a Michelin star restaurant.

Locate in a hotel lobby, this restaurant has a modern look mixed with hotel type feel. We made a reservation but I'm not sure it was needed on a Monday for lunch. About a 8 minute drive, 15 minute walk from La Segrada Família, the service here was excellent. Having several people take turns pouring water, taking orders, and explaining your food as it arrives. No problem with English or Spanish. Meal came to 80€, we each ordered the three course prix fixe menu. Decent options of scallops, white fish or pork. As the food comes out the plating is very fun and inventive but the one drawback are the sauces have very little flavor. They add more color and artistry rather than help the flavor. The desserts were decent and they finish off with a few petit fours. We liked the restaurant overall but wished the food had matched the quality of the presentation.

A Michelin star restaurant that offers bang for your buck and yet a truly distinctinguished culinary experience. Everything from first impressions, to food to service was spectacular. If you are looking from a break from eating tapas, look no further. Please excuse my poor descriptions in my picture captions. I promise everything is much more elegant than I described them to be.
Be the first to ReplyOne of the best restaurant experiences we have EVER.
There is no shortage of delicious food in Barcelona. However, a lot of it is the same. Treat yourself to the tasting menu here at Oria and you will not be disappointed. During our visit we had the opportunity to determine the number of plates based on price. From our pictures, this wasn't even the most expensive option and the amount of food was more than enough. Everything was so good.

Very upscale restaurant where everything from service to the food and wine selections were top notch. They fed us far more than what we ordered, bringing out amazing bread and olives, and even some dessert bites when we were too stuffed to order full dessert! Had we known we would've ordered a lighter starter than the Iberian ham we were so excited to have (we ate there our first night in Barcelona), since by the time our steak main dishes arrived (which were perfect) we had a hard time finishing our food!

This restaurant located in the Monument hotel, you enter next to the Rolex store. Three of us went and had the tasting menu for €60. We also asked for the dishes to be paired with wine. It was a fantastic gastronomic experience. The local Spanish wine was really well paired and delicious. The Wagyu and Hake were phenomenal. Maybe the most impressive thing was the service. It was 5 star service at an extremely reasonable price. I highly recommend this restaurant when visiting Barcelona.
