Worth visiting for the pisco sours alone!
Dear Peter, I had been looking in vain for a restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday. Every restaurant I found sounded great, until I read the reviews. Then I came across Pachamama. The menu ticked all the boxes for us, but it was your response to reviews which led me to book with you. So full of warmth and humour. Our meal with you was amazing and given we love pisco sours anyway, we made sure we tried them on our visit too. Maybe we had more than one. Maybe that's why I cannot now remember our waiter's name, but he was excellent: very knowledgeable, great recommendations and very patient. We are excited to see what quote you leave for us. Here is one for you! Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier. Mother Teresa

Really disappointing, heard great things about the food, unfortunately the pace at which dishes came out made this a difficult tasting menu experience to keep up with. Visited on 17 Feb. Within 5-10 minutes four of the tasting menu dishes were slapped onto the table. Within no time, clearly seeing we are not finished with the initial courses, the final 3 main course dishes are brought to the table, at this point we've barely had time to finish the initial set of dishes. I politely asked the waiter whether they could hold off on serving the remaining dishes till we've finished with what's on the table. Unfortunately, within 5 minutes he returns saying the next 3 dishes are getting cold and he has to serve them now... He then proceeds to remove the dishes we haven't finished to make space for the new ones (which are absolutely bone cold/dry at this point, and thoroughly unenjoyable). Maybe my expectations are high but I would expect the establishment would hold off and re-serve fresh plates of food once the customer is ready to consume them, especially once the issue is highlighted. There is barely space on the table at this point. In the interests of not making a scene I didn't complain further, but makes things worse as the ceviche is just sitting there, making the fish stringy. Maybe it was an off day but I was left disappointed in the experience, I'm sure if I had a chance to sample the food whilst it was fresh my opinion would change, as the flavours were vibrant. Edit: left this review on other platforms and they promised to reach out via email and make things right, I've emailed them twice and received no reply, it has been two months. Disappointing service and clearly being disingenuous in their replies to improve the experience for the customer, do not recommend.

From the initial warm greeting, to the attentive nature of staff, to the food it was stupendous. Loving our food, we booked for somewhere โdifferentโ for our wedding anniversary. An unassuming single door entrance off Thayer St leads down to a wonderful atmospheric dining area and bar. The staff were fantastic - keen to help and explain the dishes as well as giving their thoughts on what went with what. As I had mentioned our anniversary we were offered a free glass of bubbles - lovely touch - but even better when they didnโt bat an eyelid when I asked for a pisco sour instead - which has got to be the go to drink to kick off the evening - awesome ! The food was delicious - we went a la carte and had a couple of the snack plates, followed by four choices of main dishes including the Bluefin tuna special. The stand out dish was the salt and pepper pork ribs - unbelievable flavour and meat fell off bone. Would thoroughly recommend to couples and families alike. Will be back to sit at the bar and have a couple of snack plates, before bringing my two grown up boys to enjoy the experience.

Shagar was the best waiter ever. Was really accommodating and thoughtful with complementary cheesecake for mine and my friendโs celebrations. He was very attentive.

Absolutely incredible! Some of the best Peruvian I have had. Service was impeccable and the vibes are good. 10/10! Please get the Pork Chiccarones

VEGAN TASTING MENU What an explosion of taste fluidly delivered with unobtrusive waiting staff. Dishes appeared by magic. The tofu was spectacular as was aubergine. Cocktails out of this world, seriously. One potentially major point - Some sloppiness regarding the dessert. Delayed and one dipping sauce full of dairy, only upon our questioning was this unearthed. This could have have serious issues with other diners and whilst vegan we aren't allergic (something we weren't asked about which seems now customary at all restaurants...perhaps I declared it as such at the table booking). We will be back for food and drinks.

Too expensive for what it is - true of most London restaurants. Went to try something different, didnโt enjoy the tasting menu - overall too acidic and sharp, the food is like their Sour. Glad I tried a Peruvian restaurant, but unfortunately it will be the last.
Be the first to ReplyIntimate and tasty!
A really cosy intimate restaurant with an interesting menu. Really enjoyed the ambience. Waiter service wasnโt the best when trying to find out what was gluten free, but that was the only downside.

Great staff and service. Nice laid back atmosphere for either a group of friends or couple. Peruvian inspired food, nicely different from other options. Loved chocolate dessert. Would certainly recommend.

Absolutely love everything about this restaurant and food! Very friendly staff that can help give the best recommendations and the food is exceptional! Iโve been back several times and it never dissapoints. Highly recommend the octopus and duck on rice.

everything was exceptional , the cocktails, wine, abundant (value for money in central London) and delicous food, service - we were 11 people in the private dining room at the marylebone restaurant celebrating my daughters 18th. The room was perfect and created an intimate atmosphere, we were looked after by the whole team who are genuine, charming people. We decided to have a mix of the regular, fish, & vegetarian tasting menus and all were delicious (especially the aubergine and ceviche fish). Thank you for making her day special - we will be back ! x

The ambience was good as was the service but the food was a huge disappointment. We had the pescatarian tasting menu and the meat tasting menu. This was recommended by our waitress but on reflection we wish we had studied the menu better! The the only 2 fish dishes in the pescatarian tasting was cervice and on fried sea bass fillet. We didnโt like any of the vegetables, aubergine, cabbage and salad. For ยฃ120 felt a complete let down. Food was massively overpriced.

Had a brilliant time. We had amazing food. The service was exceptional. The vegetarian tasting menu was superb. The atmosphere was really lively. Highly recommend it.

We were visiting from Scotland and have never tasted Peruvian food and wanted to try something different. We were advised to try the tasting menu which I would recommend. We both liked different dishes and the food was lovely. The service was also good would recommend. Many thanks.

Can I just start by saying that Victoria in the Events team has set a new precedent when it comes to Customer Service. She exceeded all other experiences I've ever had when planning an event โ she is truly brilliant and an absolute credit to your team! Thank you so much for all your hard work, can't wait to get another meal in the diary!! Onto the evening itself, every single person we encountered was an absolute rockstar. The pisco sours on arrival set the tone for the whole evening and I'm delighted to report that my team absolutely loved every mouthful. Can't wait to come back already.
Be the first to ReplyFriendly, fun - delicious!!!
Superb evening. Huge thank you to Penny and Tatiana. Incredible service, recommendations and hospitality. So many great dishes, cocktails (Pisco Sours!) and Penny in particular catered to all of our various dietary requirements and requests. Thank you!
Be the first to ReplyDelicious - but dont order too much!
The food was wonderful, particularly the roast sweet potato - I've never tasted sweet potato like it. the lamb belly was great too. But don't order too much! Our server wrinkled her nose and told us some of the things we'd ordered were "very small" so we added an extra dish, which turned out to be completely unnecessary and we couldn't quite finish. And the fact you have to read the menu on your phone is mildly irritating. Otherwise, excellent

I wanted to review this restaurant simply to say, โgo!โ The food was incredible. Each small plate was bursting with flavour. Itโs very candle lit and atmospheric in the evening, so a perfect date night. My partner loved his cocktails. Polite, attentive, helpful staff. 10/10. Looking forward to going again.
Be the first to ReplySuperb Peruvian in London
Sensational! Full disclosure I havenโt yet been to Peru but I have eaten in loads of Peruvian restaurants in world cities. Pachama is brilliant. We had the lunch menu ยฃ10 dishes and ordered 8 dishes. The cerviche is superb but the star dish was the aubergine. Everything was great. Presented well, seasoned well, great balance of spicy, sweet, savoury, sharp. Also had a few great Pisco sours. Highly recommend.

Great food. 3 of us, ordering 2 dishes each. Portions are just right. We ordered a couple of extra, only to sample different cuisine. Quality exceptional. Highly recommend if you are on the area. Only 5 minutes from Bond Street tube.
Be the first to ReplyAwesome as ever, food is so good, great vibe and very friendly staff! Quiet on a Sunday but doesnโt take away from it!
Great staff and food is faultless. Looking forward to coming back soon! Always enjoy our visits and itโs my wifeโs favouriteโฆ

Delicious food and cocktails (pisco sours). Everything we had was delicious and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Love how easily we could split the bill and pay online.
Be the first to ReplyThe staff eat well.
Booked online for this restaurant and the staff member who greeted us was friendly and accommodating enough in terms of seating us. When the food arrived the portions were minuscule. The only item worth eating was the fried aubergine. The chicken dishes were pink and when we asked the waiter if he could cook the chicken more he advised us that no matter how much the chicken would be cooked it would still be pink. This did not make any sense and we were wondering how we could fill up when we suddenly saw wonderful platters of food being laid by the chef - fried potatoes, salads and a variety of other dishes - I approached the chef and asked if we could order this food and he advised me that this food was specially prepared for the staff - he said I could have one chip if I wanted but the food was for the staff. Another staff member told me that if I wanted to eat the good food there I should apply for employment there. All the staff then disappeared to eat the wonderful food they cooked for themselves , they eventually emerged to present us with a bill that represented the volume of food they ate. Unbelievable. A total waste of money - unless you want to pay to watch the staff eat wonderful food.
Be the first to ReplyBleugh. Disgusting place.
Ugly, downstairs, damp, and unhygienic. Bad music, bad vibes, expensive. Avoid. Retreat. Anywhere is better. Go anywhere else but this disgusting place. Not worthy of its location, or brand. Just wonder around and find better. The owners should be ashamed.
