Great Dinner
Had a wonderful dinner here recently. Everything was top notch. Our server was professional, on cue w/ our needs. Our food was well presented & excellent. Prices were a good value. Will go back again!

This place is incredible. So surprisingly good. Every dish was full of flavor and presented in fun, interesting ways. Service was excellent - just the right amount of attention. Can't wait to go back to this place!

This neighborhood gem can’t be missed! Lovely staff that are attentive and gracious. Cozy atmosphere. A difficult menu…because you’ll want everything! We had some cocktails and shared a delicious gem salad. My husband had succulent scallops and I went for the scrumptious Bavette steak. We will definitely comeback for all the other offers on the menu!

Wonderful dinner for our group of four. Our appetizers, entrees, and dessert were delicious (and reasonably priced). We very much enjoyed our meal. Roasted asparagus and roasted cauliflower were wonderful starters. The green garlic rigatoni was perfect! and my stablemates loved the lamb belly roulade and the handkerchief pasta dish.

A nice casual week-night-out dinner. Shared a salad and each had an entree. Enjoyed everything we had and the service was fine. Recommended: Handkerchief Pasta, Scallops.

This is one of my go-to restaurants for friends in town. Always an excellent meal at a fair price. The menu changes but is fresh and creative. Drinks are unique; servers are knowledgable about the menu and attentive.

Arrived here for dinner with a friend. The restaurant is simple and has a romantic feel to it. Lights are dim. The bar is busy and food is exceptional. Great attention to detail on presentation. We ordered the Handkerchief and Campanella pasta. Both were delicious. But the highlight of the night was the Kobe Steak, which was cooked to perfection. Would recommend

Pearl 6101 is an intimate, high level neighborhood restaurant it’s warm, quality touches all round. Very strong front of house and wait staff - and all courses were served by the proud (articulate and courteous) chefs ( a la Tois Mec).
Fun, spirited cocktail menu - and perfectly crafted.
A tight menu, with warmth throughout the room and team.
The perfect antidote to the increasingly corporatized (return driven) SF restaurant team.
Pearl 6101 is both cosy and hi-grade.
We enjoyed tuna tartare, Kobe steak and grilled octopus- with wonderful legumes and salad.
Excellent food and great service
We really enjoyed our lunch at Pearl! Service was great even though we arrived 15 minutes before they closed the kitchen. They welcomed us with a big smile which is really nice. Food was really good with great products.
Definitely a place to go!
So wonderfully surprised!
This restaurant blew me away...the cocktails are unusual and delicious...the appetizers were wonderful....warm Greek olives...YUM, tuna tataki on taro chips...super delish. Main courses didnt dissappoint, friendly staff...super food and fun embience. Gnocchis with baby corn...truffle butter...oh my god!
Be the first to ReplyNot like the Chronicle 100
Went here Friday 26th July....our Anniversary.....primarily based on The SF Chronicle adding this restaurant to its Top 100...the new Chronicle 100 has taken a new approach ( per Ms Oh) and taken many date night restaurants off the list....and per her column, has added some localized community restaurants . Why we went to Spears 6101.
Maybe she should rethink this approach. Pulled up the pdf menu right before we left for our 630 reservation. Made our choices. Arrived at 620, seated promptly in a nice table/banquet for 2.....Nice waitress....looked at the menu, and it was not like their online pdf menu.
Wanted the crab appetizer.....didn’t have it.....wanted a bottle of Unti Grenache.....didn’t have it.....wanted Grilled Scallops.....didn’t have it....although all were on their pdf menu....spoke to a “ manager” young balding man , and he wanted to argue with me about their menu...if fact brought his smart phone back to support his argument. But when he brought up his menu in pdf, sure enough he was wrong.....all of the items we wanted were listed. Don’t want to even tell you about what we had to settle for.
I know this restaurant is in the Avenues, but that’s no reason to hype it, if it doesn’t deserve hyping. Maybe we ought to add some of our “date night” restaurants back to theChronicle 100
