Food was amazing also the vibes in this restaurant are spectacular it's very lively. I had ended up having a cocktail over wine of course the gimlet there was bomb I ended up having two. Service was overly great I must say like a little too great not saying that I don't like to be checked up on but any given moment things were cleared and we were asked how is everything ...glasses were always full. The potatoes were alright and the brussel sprouts the same. I wasn't really digging the beef short rib but the agnolotti dal plin ugh was so good I will come back just for this.

I recently came to Perbacco for a investor dinner that was a pre-fee with appetizers and drinks before hand. This restaurant is definitely beautiful, and I love that they have two floors and many spaces for private parties! The staff was so friendly, and the service was great. The only feedback I had was that for this event, we got a schedule saying that drinks would go from 5:45 PM until 6 PM, we would all be seated for dinner at 6:20, and eat once we are seated. However, the staff did not seat us until around 715, and we did not eat our first course until about 20 minutes after that. They took so long to serve each course that many people were actually leaving in the middle of dinner because it was long past the scheduled time. By around 8:30 PM we had just finished our entrées and had not yet been served dessert, so I'm not sure if this was an issue with the kitchen or the scheduling or how many private parties were happening That night, but the timing was definitely off and it affected the meal

Delicious food! when a restaurant can get me to eat endive, that's WOW. duck: yum! with kumquat and endive (caramelized with balsalmic?) pastas: all yum bread with honey riccota old fashioned fancy service. only complaint: loud. people all around us with loud distracting conversations.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is not good.
The beet salad was okay but the pappardelle (with gluten free pasta) was awful. Very disappointing especially at this price point. Service was nothing special and same goes for the ambiance. Will not be returning.

I had a business lunch here recently & had a wonderful experience. We didn't have reservations but were seated in the main dining room quickly. We started with the burrata which comes with stone fruit & was a light starter. We were also provided with complementary focaccia bread. Yum! I chose the Tajarin which features hand cut, thin tagliatelle, five hour pork and porcini mushroom Sugo. It was delicious & I ate every morsel. My co-worker had the Langaroli pasta & I sampled a little bite & it was yummy. I wanted to end the meal with a palate cleanser & close the citrus sorbetto, which was light & refreshing. Service was warm & helpful. I like the formal dining room with proper linens.
Be the first to ReplyWe had a reservation here for Valentine's Day.
When we arrived, we were 15 minutes early and seated right away. The ambiance is nice with a classy bar setting and nice booths or tables. The dining upstairs might be inaccessible for wheelchair users or those with movement impairments. I did not see an elevator. The service was swift and friendly, I always felt like we were taken care of. The server acknowledged that our entree was taking too long and checked on it without us asking. The food was delicious! We had a lovely potato and leek soup, pasta, and sorbet for dessert. Everything was fantastic! A bit pricey for the pasta but still within a reasonable range for an upscale dining experience. The only "miss" was the complimentary truffles given to us at the end. We couldn't eat them, they were too rich. We would love to be back!

Overall I enjoyed my experience! Went for a Galentines Dinner and their servers were all very nice. We did have to wait a bit before someone came to take our order, but it was a busier day than usual. The pasta was great but I will say the portion size was small for the cost. The dessert was definitely the highlight, would recommend this one.

Came here on Valentine's Day with a reservation and got seated right away. Really liked the ambiance on both floors of the restaurant. We ordered the acme bread, the tajarin, gnocchi, and poached pear with vanilla ice cream desert. The bread and butter were good but not notable. The exterior was a bit hard even though the inside was soft and I would've liked a little more honey in the butter. I liked the tajarin -- the noodles were cooked perfectly and the sauce was very meaty and savory without being too heavy. It tasted more like an East Asian noodle dish than a pasta though. The tomato sauce gnocchi was simple but really well done! Finally, the poached pear desert was my highlight of the meal. The different textures and flavors from the pear, cake, ice cream, red wine, and biscuit worked really well together. It was a little pricey (~40/person) but expected for 3 courses at a fancier restaurant. Overall, solid place for a fancy dinner and service was good too!
Be the first to ReplyFood is really good.
We got the papardelle and the tajarin and I have no complaints. Service was very attentive as well. However it was pricy and because it was Valentine's Day they put us at the upper level and the ambience is not good. The ceiling lights are bright "neon" white and the wall sconces are warm light and weird carpet. I feel like if you get seated in the lower level it could be nice enough (a little hotel lobby style) but upstairs is not nice.
Be the first to ReplyFood was very middling for the prices.
I did leave full, though. And we got free chocolate truffle because it was Valentine's Day. We only had the seafood so maybe the meat is better?

Top Italian restaurant in SFThe menu is unique and offers somewhat of a variety. I ordered the "Cresta de Gallo" and it looked like a squid dish. I like mushrooms but I don't og them. This dish had mushrooms stuffing in the pasta as well as diced mushrooms on top of a creamy mushroom sauce. Was it bit too much for me.Ambiance is great, located in the heart of Fidi. I might give it a second try with another dish.

food is consistent and service is very good.

Perfect service and just a great place to dine. Same way for 25 years.

I loved my experience with Perbacco and would recommend this place for a classy dinner with fantastic Italian food! I came on a weeknight before 6pm and the place was already bustling with people. When I first sat down, not all of the tables were occupied, but as the night went on, I looked around and every table was occupied and the restaurant was lively with people. The server was very attentive and patient and answered all of our questions about the food and wine options. He brought out his recommendations for white wine for us to try, and each wine had an exquisite taste that matched his description. Food items ordered: - Tajarin: My FAVORITE dish out of the two pasta dishes tried and I was blown away by the first bite. The dish comes with thin tagliatelle, 5 hour pork, and mushroom sugo and the taste was AMAZING. The pork and mushroom combination gave such a unique taste to the dish and the flavor was very exquisite. I would definitely come back to get this dish again!- Pappardelle: Another amazing pasta dish, which comes with wide pappardelle noodles, slow cooked short rib ragu, and scallion horseradish crema. This dish was also packed with flavor and the horseradish cream gave it a nice twist to the flavor of the short rib. Overall, I really enjoyed the positive experience I had with Perbacco and I hope to come back soon to try their other dishes and dessert!

Food was delicious. I wouldn't bring a client back here again but will save the visit for a dinner out with friends.

Came here on a last minute whim dinner and luckily I was able to snag a reservation online. The only thing with getting a last minute reservation is that they seat you at the counter and this was on a Wednesday evening. Though, sitting at the counter I def didn't feel the usual A+ customer service as the other seated guests. We definitely weren't part of the after fidi work crowd. We actually live close by in the East Cut and thought we'd pop in to a "neighborhood" establishment. Their pasta was cooked perfectly. The brussel sprouts were flavorful and would def order this again. We would love to come back to try their other amazing offerings. But probably won't be on top of our list and may stick closer to the Embarcadero restaurants which is closer to us anyway.

Wow! Just wow! We thought we would just come in for a cocktail while waiting for dinner next door (walk ins) and were able to get seated for dinner here. We were so pleasantly surprised at what amazing food this was.

Went there for our 60th wedding anniversary; we thought it would be special but it was mediocre. We ordered Halibut and we were disappointed; it was cooked in a broth and the fish was not fresh.

The food at this place was not great! The restaurant itself it's very beautiful but the food is pretty basic and nothing out of the ordinary. We ordered the Tajin pasta and it tasted really bad, it was very greasy and it gave a stomach ache right afterwards. Do not come here if you want to enjoy your meal. Service was pretty good! And the place is very nice. But for me the most important thing is the food, and this is not a restaurant I would recommend or be coming back to.

Had to come here again because it's SO good! And it did not disappoint. Service is always amazing and the pasta is some of the best in SF. We shared the Fritto Misto appetizer and then shared 3 pasta dishes and 2 desserts. The special crab pasta was perfect. It's always a fun atmosphere and was packed on Saturday night, but it's a spacious restaurant. It has a long bar and the restaurant is bustling with patrons and servers bringing around fresh bread rolls and fancy cocktails.
Be the first to ReplyFoods were all great.
Service and wine was terrible. All of us felt our server Viento looked down and did not care about us at all. Very arrogant attitude. Another gentleman in business suits (manager?) came to our table to folded napkin when our friend leave the table, but our server never came back for "service" except took order and brought the bill. Even he did not bring bread to our table. About wine, when first I tasted, I thought it was not opened up yet, but actually it was bad or old wine. I wonder if it was opened a couple of days ago, or even our server poured different silly wine to me.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Italian spot for lunch in FiDi.
Pretty expensive but high quality food. Took a star off because I made a reservation in advance and was still seated almost 40 minutes late. They kept pushing me to sit outside but I booked an indoor seat so I obviously would want to sit inside. In addition, service was very slow; spent a lot of time just waiting around for more water, more bread, the check, etc. but food overall super yum
Be the first to ReplyTook my mom here for Mother's Day.
Appetizers were amazing, wine was good, pasta was to die for. Perbacco never disappoints.
Be the first to ReplyFood was good.
Don't take it as leftovers. They packed it and I made the mistake of putting it upright in my bag and it ruined my bag because the container was too small, popped the lid open and spilled the juice (who pours the juice in with the fish? Which btw was mostly deboned but tail end wasn't so that was fun to bite into /s).

Having seen the positive reviews, I was very excited to come to this restaurant. The Fritto Misto was great, very fresh. The langaroli was also good. I would not recommend the Roteli al pesto. It was too heavy and did not taste fresh. Additionally, coming to an establishment like this I was expecting great service. But wait staff was not friendly and we felt rushed throughout dinner.
