Pineapple and Pearls Washington Reviews from The Last Year
Absolutely remarkable.
This is by far one of my favorite restaurants in DC. The staff was great, attentive, and very informative on the many dishes. No doubt it's pricey, but you get what you pay for. It's truly an amazing experience. The food ingredient combinations were fascinating and the flavor was out of this world. I highly recommend enjoying their libations as well, they were top notch. I enjoyed the ambience, it's lively well lit, and fun; this was surprising, as the majority of Michelin restaurants I've visited were darker and a more subdued atmosphere. We loved and will be back

Wow! Wow! Wow! Need I say more! An absolutely amazing culinary experience from start to finish! A real treat to say the least!
Owned by the same person as Diplomat.
Very popular and amazing food. We need to add for client meals.
The folks that run this restaurant are nothing but class!!
The folks that run this restaurant are nothing but class!! We had a reservation we had to cancel in celebration of my wife's 50th. The client service director, Lea, was very kind and asked where we were going to dine instead. When we arrived at the other restaurant, crèment and all kinds of little amuse bouches "complements of the Roses Restaurant Group" were brought to our table by ANOTHER COMPETING RESTAURANT!! Cannot say enough about these classy folks!! We have eaten at Roses before and food is out of this world.
Incredible service.
Creative food. Highly recommend cool and unpretentious environment

The night was filled with fun surprises and the food was magical! My husband and I had no idea what to expect and we were so happy we experienced P and P.
We have never had a better dining experience.
Not really sure what to expect and pleasantly surprised. We sat at the chef's counter and were served by one of the chefs and a server in addition to the sommelier. This was by far the most expensive dining experience we have ever had, by a lot. Dinner for two, one wine pairing and one zero proof pairing was $1,300. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the experience. Would we do it again? No. We can afford it, but we have done it. I think a nice $300 dinner and $1,000 to World Central Kitchen is a better use of the money.

Our experience here was phenomenal! We arrived and were warmly greeted. Everyone in the restaurant is so friendly and excited to have you there. We were at the chef's counter and it truly was an honor to see such a thoughtful staff working hard throughout the night. We sat down and received a thorough guidance from our waiter on the menu. It was very helpful to have his insights. Ian was my absolute favorite! I adored him in every way! He was so witty and entertaining during the entire night. The food was creative, unique, and delicious to the taste. There were so many food highlights, but the gnocchi was clearly handled with so much love while it was made. We opted for the zero proof pairing with the meal and it stole the show! The mixed drinks that came with each dish were so good. If I could have one thing at my last meal on earth, it would be the seedlip gin avocado drink. It. Was. Phenomenal. The Jell-O shot, butter popcorn frozen yogurt, and pancakes were cute, but the flavorings and necessity were not there for me. They did not add much to the meal unfortunately in flavor. The true only downfall of the evening was the rush of our last course. Four items were all brought out at the exact same time. It felt overcrowded and chaotic. We received the pancakes, crème brûlée, Manila dessert, and donut all at once as multiple waiters brought everything out. It was overwhelming and I did not feel like it allowed me to appreciate each option individually. Also, by the time that I got to the doughnut, it was no longer warm which was a bummer. If I could change one thing, it would have been this process because it felt like they needed our seats and we did not have time to enjoy the final courses. As we left the restaurant, the hostess lost my friend's jacket so we waited around for sometime as she brought out every single jacket other than my friend's. Finally, my friend snuck behind the scenes and realized her jacket was on the floor where the hostess could not see. We were so glad that we were able to find it before heading out to the cold, rain, and wind. Overall, it was great! Thank you pineapple and pearls for allowing us to have a wonderful time.
Highly recommend! This is my first Michelin star experience
Highly recommend! This is my first Michelin star experience and I would say it is so far the most fun dining experience I've had. It is truly a party! We walked in with a wine glass, sat at the chefs table to watch the dishes being made - every plate is carefully curated, beautiful, and delicious! On top of the meal itself, we got some yummy dessert, a cute photo, and a wagyu burger to take home in a fancy box!

Over priced tasting menu over kill to much houvering by waiters or an ever day restaurant experience to pretentious
Disappointing, especially at this price point
I will divide my review into service, setting and food. The service was very attentive. The staff contributed to the “fun, happy” atmosphere that the restaurant is attempting to achieve. The setting was nice but a bit strange. The balloons along the ceiling were an effort to add to the party vibe. The “bubbles” that were blown when I was dispensing my own ice cream into a cup made me think that I was at a 5 year old’s birthday celebration, not a fine dining restaurant or a New Year’s Eve party. The Polaroid photo taken of me was another apparent attempt to give the evening a more party type of atmosphere. In the end, however, I go to a restaurant for the food, and there were some hits and misses. The “soufflé of the year,” Marco’s gnocchi and the 3 cheese ravioli were all hits, with the ravioli being the best. The Japanese Surf and Turf was a total miss; the surf (allegedly abalone) was not noticeable in any meaningful way, and the turf (Japanese beef shin) was WAY too salty. The LA style mezcal pineapple dessert was okay; the champagne and peach liqueur “gummie bears” that were served with it were a pointless addition from a food perspective, although maybe the intent was to enhance the “fun” part of the experience. The “gifts” presented at various times during the meal ranged from very good (koyo strawberry with cheese inside) to interesting (the beggar’s purses) to awful (Scott’s nachos). Overall, I would have to say that the food did not live up to my expectations. I normally don’t comment on the cost of a meal at a Michelin-starred restaurant, as I expect such a meal to be expensive, but in this case, I found the price point to be way out of line with the quality and quantity of the food served.
Cockroach in the private dining room
The private dining experience in the She Loves Me room is a disaster. The restaurant doesn't have the capacity/competency to facilitate an experience that comes anywhere near to matching the price point. There was a COCKROACH in the room that crawled up a guest's leg. When the guest jumped up, the cockroach scurried under the table and we had to go through the remainder of dinner with a loose roach in the room. We commissioned an expensive floral arrangement to be set as the centerpiece for dinner, but the Pineapple & Pearls team (inexplicably) disassembled it so we were left with just a few sparse flowers haphazardly placed on the table and the room looking like a raggity hostel lobby. Dining service took over 4 hours. We were sat at 8:30 and, even after asking to rush through the final courses because of the cockroach, were not able to leave until after 12:30 am. After detailing our disappointment at length and waiting several weeks, Pineapple and Pearls took 10% off our bill. I was mortified to host an event here - highly recommend choosing one of the other many fabulous Michelin star restraurants in DC.

That's what AT sponsorships are for - and you are only paying 25% in the first year and then less in year two and three.
I beliebe @EternalAnt36 was sponsored by @PerceptiveWash44 and is now doing $25k/mo.
You can write on the top sellers profiles (type 'Top 10' in the searchbar) and then tap request sponsorship button after you found the guy or gal like to work with!
