Expensive, uninspired, and noisy
There are many more very good and better Italian restaurants in Denver. This place does not have a very interesting menu. They charge you six bucks for bread on a $500 bill. Give me a break. This is a typical cherry creek. avoid restaurant at any cost.

Quite nice ambiance/decor ( just stay aware from the bar, front and rear). Cocktails were well-executed and priced; wines: Whoa! ($$$$$$$). Wonderful service (from Randy, et al), thanks! Food is creative, non-traditional Italian-inspires, and very freshly served. If you like the menu (online) you will be very favorably impressed. BTW: the signature. ‘Chicken Parmigiana Pizza’ is not a pizza: it’s a pizza-sized/shaped (12” round), kinda routine chicken parm - in my opinion, just, chicken parm.

The food arrived cold, and the waiter was very rude and condescending. I asked for a cappuccino, and he told the cappuccino maker was not working. i have dined here multiple times over the last 2 years and every time i order a cappuccino they tell me the cappuccino maker is not working. how hard is it to make a cappuccino. they have it listed on their menu. if you don't want to make one than take it off of your menu.

Totally disappointed. This restaurant is way overpriced for what you get. The calamari app was OK, but very small. The pasta entrees were ridiculously small for the price. The gnocchi came with 10 small pieces of gnocchi and tagliatelle was just a tomato sauce like out of the can. They didn’t offer parm cheese for pasta and no bread on the side. $500 for 5 people and nothing to show for it. We will never go back and cannot believe this was rated over 4 stars. Waiter was less than pleasant.

Food was good, service great but seating way too close and noise level Way too high. Wish you could order more Bread!

Great date restaurant!! Our service was wonderful, the food delicious. We Thoroughly enjoyed the evening and the relaxed atmosphere.
Be the first to ReplyDecent Food, outrageously over priced wine list.
Quality Italian is pretentious. The food is good, but their wine list is over priced and takes advantage of customers. Example: Veuve Clicquot Champagne yellow label is on the list for $180! This champagne retails for $55 and wholesale much less for Quality Italian. Further, at these prices you would think that they could afford table cloths that were not old and torn.

What a lovely staff even when it is very crowded Very high quality food Friendly bartender I came alone and didn’t feel That i was alone cause of atmosphere
Be the first to ReplyLoud, dark, and below average.
We were encouraged by the Halcyon Hotel to give this adjoining restaurant a try. It was extremely dark. We had to use flashlights to see the menus. Yes it was noisy, but the special of capellini with truffles was tasteless. The waiter shaved a heaping amount of truffle, which impressed me, until I tried to taste it. Bummer. I said nothing, as I was entertaining business guests. I will not return.
Be the first to ReplyRUDE AND INCOMPETENT! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.
Staff are idiots and rude. I was told on arrival that the bar seating is first come first served. Several people before me waited and as seats opened up they sat without any staff guidance. I waited patiently for 20 min for my turn. A seat opened and I sat. Within a few minutes some over-empowered host came over and told me I couldn’t sit there and that of all the seats in the restaurant bar, I was sitting in the one seat that was reserved. They refused to serve me and the hostess all of a sudden became a mute and wouldn’t say a word. The other staff person seemed to revel in his “power” and just kept repeating, “that seat is reserved.” Unfortunately, Quality Italian of Denver is not anything like Quality Italian NYC. STAY AWAY. THEY DON’T DESERVE OUR HARD EARNED MONEY.
Be the first to ReplyVastly overpriced and brutally loud.
Food is good but not extraordinary in any way, and portions were small, even for relatively restrained eaters. The noise level at dinner was cacophonous and frankly unbearable. By the time we left, we felt like we’d spent several hours at an active construction site. Combined with the eye-watering over-pricing, it was a disappointing experience and one that won’t be repeated.

I had the best dinner. The food was awesome, but Tina is the reason I will be back. She is beyond!!!

The food is so good and the service is impeccable. The meatballs, the bread, THE STEAK! Wine list to match it :)
Be the first to ReplyDelicious brunch!
We had such a great time here for brunch! We all enjoyed bottomless bellinis and the parm pizza. The polenta pancakes and Caesar salad were favorites once the entrees came. We can't wait to come back! It is a bit pricey, but the service is excellent, and the food was delicious!

We had a really good meal at Quality Italian. The waitstaff was attentive, the warm, fluffy garlic bread was beautifully presented and a delicious way to start the meal. For an appetizer we shared the yummy guac Genovese. For dinner we highly recommend the dry-aged porterhouse agnolotti and the paccheri amatriciana.
Be the first to ReplyUsed to Love QI - We won't be back!
First, let me say that we've always been QI fans .. Sad to have the horrible service we had last Wed., March 30th celebrating my daughter's birthday. First, we were seated by the kitchen & couldn't believe how LOUD (the wait staff) it would be & how much traffic would be coming in/out of the kitchen. I guess that's to be expected with one entrance to the kitchen, but it wasn't a good spot.
Then we had a short blonde server, I wish I would have caught her name. I was so flustered & embarrassed by her behavior in front of friends, I just couldn't believe it. We were with a couple of people who aren't used to 'fine dining' so they had a lot of questions. The eye rolling & obvious snobbery from our server was just embarrassing & disgusting. She literally could HARDLY STAND to answer our questions & I swear she acted like she was going to laugh out loud because our friends didn't know what a few of the ingredients were in dishes. I also had a really hard time seeing the menu in the dark & that seemed to really annoy her when I used my cell phone light, but it's literally SO DARK by the kitchen I didn't know what else to do. Our server showed ZERO grace .. ZERO!
Our friends didn't drink so that obviously just made our server RUSH EVERYTHING. Our food came literally 5 minutes after we ordered & she wanted us OUT OF THERE .. she seemed annoyed we ordered dessert for my daughter's bday.
Paying $75 for a chicken parm (yes yes, I know it feeds more than one person) & $25-$30 for a pasta, you just expect a better experience. Our Service ruined our experience & we won't be back. What's the point? There are SO MANY other restaurants that deserve our business & you don't walk away feeling shamed, annoyed & sad that you spent $130 on dinner for two with one glass of wine. Yes, I STILL tipped 20% because I just can't NOT support waitstaff, but looking back on it, she deserved nothing.
Rude Hostess, Dining Experience Not Worth the Price
This will be quite a contrast from my last review in January 2020. Once again, we received a gift certificate to QI for Christmas, and were looking forward to going. We had reservations for 6pm, and arrived shortly before then. There were quite a few diners already there at that hour. The hostess did not greet us, and, although there was no one else in line to check in, she kept us waiting like we were inconveniencing her, while she looked at her screen. Finally, we were escorted to a table in the bar next to the front windows, which were wide open to the chilly night air. The bar music was very loud and thumping, and we did not want to sit half way outside, so we asked to be taken to another table in the dining room. When we were escorted back to the hostess, she scowled at us, and told us that half the restaurant had been booked, so she didn't have table options. I pointed out that there were a number of open tables, but she said they were for other reservations. I asked her where OUR table was for OUR reservation, and she just kept looking at her screen. Finally, we were taken to a table next to the entrance to the kitchen. We thought "well, this is the best we're going to do," so we sat with our backs to the kitchen opening. The waiters going in and out nonstop during our meal were annoying, especially for a restaurant as expensive as QI is. Even though we were in the back of the dining room, the bar music was still loud and thumping.
Hoping to get past the rudeness of the hostess, we ordered a tricolore marg that we had enjoyed before and a beer. The marg was not as good as I remembered - more citrusy. Our waiter, Zak, however, was great! We asked him about a dish we saw being prepared tableside with fire, and he said it was the spicy lobster rigatoni, so we ordered that, the crab and avocado salad and brussels sprouts. The salad was as tasty as the first time, and we had some to bring home. There was quite a wait between our salad and main course, however - so long that we stopped Zak and asked him when our entree would be coming. I liked the lobster rigatoni, but my husband wasn't a fan. We both liked the sprouts, however. We each had a glass of wine, but the prices/glass are not for the faint of heart.
There are many excellent Italian restaurants in East Denver and Cherry Creek (Brunos, Cucina Colore, Nonna's, to name a few). Next year, we will ask for a gift certificate to one of those restaurants, where they are glad to see you and don't try to pawn a table off on you in a noisy bar or next to the kitchen.
Horrible Service
The Uptight and rude behavior was not fun the food was great but the managers and servers just very snobby and wouldn't see money if it was a sign in front of them.
Change the people and get servers with charisma and get rid of management.
Family outing
Had dinner last night at Quality Italian. We've been wanting to get out after Covid and thought an Italian meal in Cherry Creek would b a good first outing. It wasn't! First the noise level in the restaurant at 6:00 was deafening, and we choose to eat in one of the private cabins, which improved the experience. Our waiter really wasn't in serving us and it was though we were imposing on his evening plans. Our server was great and very appreciative. The meal although quite savory, was portion limited. The filet mignon was delicious.. too bad a 12 oz cut was actually <8 oz in size. Although the food was of high quality, the portions, the service was far below standards especially for a restaurant with $$$$ price tag. Lot of opportunities to eat in Cherry Creek... should have went to Elways. Avoid Origin Italian.. its unworthy of your business!!!
Be the first to ReplyWas it a dinner or a rocket launch?
Had a dinner in QI visiting my daughter in Denver Univercity.
Well its hard to impress me i am from NYC ;) but the area is full of people who prob cam to spend money and feel special - so i think this is the origints of the hype around this place.
Food was ok, we had ricotta, friend calamari and shared pasta dish.
Pasta was actually good and fresh and all the flavors are there.
Not so impressed with the atmosphere - loud, obnoxious crowd; stuff is rushed as if the end of the world is coming, loud room, some drunk couple near us was frensh kissing and her hands were in his pans. yak!.Running looking busy waiters, bus boys, bartenders... like they are rnning rocket launch or a broadway show ;)
Italian food should come with Italian flow - calm, unrushed, and classy. THis was like eating ok food on gas station.
Its a pity as decor is there, the table setting, etc is demostrating that the restoarnt is aiming to be that classy italian place.
Lobster Ravioli
The Spicy Lobster Rigatoni Alla Vodka at Quality Italian in Cherry Creek is rich and decadent. The tableside flambé presentation is a perfect touch for a special evening.
Housemade ricotta is a great starter to share with friends. If you can possibly spare any room, try one of their housemade gelati for dessert (Ferro Rocher or spumoni are couple of suggestions.)
We sat inside, but they have some of the nicest socially-distanced outside dining options available too.
Not Impressed
I was Very disgusted not only by the tall skinny guy with his over nose in the air behavior but the management and Bartender need to chill.
I am very surprised how in the demand this restaurant acts that it is not flattering not only was the introduction to this supposedly Gem of Cherry creek. I have had Better.
Overall The Food was dull and the drinks were Tasteless.
To the Owners OF Quality Italian Please change your management and staff!

Steakhouse Italian
My host selected this restaurant for a business dinner for two when I told him that I like Italian food. The atmosphere was very pleasant. The tables were relatively socially distanced. The piped in music was not overbearing, so it was possible to have a pleasant conversation without fighting noise. The service was very attentive. Some of the presentation seemed staged, such as the lobster topping for my host’s pasta. It was served flambé style at the table. Despite the theatrics, the servers were very nice and helpful but not overbearing. The atmosphere is what I would describe as more steakhouse than Italian. That pretty much describes the food as well. It was good, but more what you would expect in a steakhouse. I would not consider it gourmet Italian. That is not to say that I didn’t enjoy it. The crab and avocado appetizer was good, and definitely big enough to share for two. In fact, all of the appetizers and desserts are so large, they can be easily shared. My branzino was very good. Fortunately, they resisted the temptation to over embellish it, as is the case with so many of their other dishes. My gelato was a highlight, and big enough for two. I had an enjoyable evening for a business outing. Around us, a lot of groups of friends seemed to be having a great time. It seems like a good friend to enjoy dinner with friends and to share dishes.
