I highly recommend this restaurant if you're ever in nyc!!
I highly recommend this restaurant if you're ever in nyc!! We came this past weekend for my husband's birthday dinner. Everything was phenomenal, from the ambiance of the restaurant, to the food and everything in between. We decided to order for the table and do family style to try a bit of everything! Each dish was incredible! Also a huge thank you to our server Luis A. who gave us exceptional service! My husband had the best birthday celebration and we can't wait to be back!

Appetizers were great. We tried a unique oyster dish. Drinks are crafty and delicious. NY Steak was delicious, do stay away from the hanger steak unless you like cherry glazed steak. It's more of a dessert than a dinner. I love cherries and it was overwhelming. They have a coat check and the service was wonderful. Highly recommend. I would definitely visit again.

Good food but so loud you have to yell at the person you're having dinner with. Also, the tiny tables where the plates are overlapped and falling on the floor. Why with the tiny tables? Also, the food comes out immediately and all at once. Pretty chaotic dining experience.

Excellent service, friendly and knowledgeable staff, cozy ambiance (especially the outdoor booths), and of course the food is A++ The corn creme brulee is amazing
Be the first to ReplyGreat place for a special occasion and if you like steak
Great place for a special occasion and if you like steak this is the place for you! Four of us had a fantastic meal on a Thursday night. We had a 6:30 reservation and they will not seat you until everyone arrives so we had a drink at the bar. Even after everyone arrived it took them about 15 additional minutes to seat us, not a big deal. It is a deceptively large restaurant with a seating on the ground floor and a larger upstairs area. We were seated upstairs in a semicircular booth which we found awkward since four of us were seated in a semicircle, making it hard for the two people at each end to talk to each other. Also, the person at the table next to us was very close to the end of our table, making it impossible to get out. There are plenty of nice 4-top tables in the restaurant so next time I will request one of those.Sharing plates is the way to go here and the waiter was great about suggesting dishes and amounts. We had seafood appetizers and then put some salads and steaks in the middle of the table. They did not last long. For desert you can get a mini chocolate cake perfect for three or four people. I would definitely come back with friends for a special occasion.
Be the first to ReplySuch a great restaurant.
The service was amazing; our servers took the time to actually talk to us and make the experience that much more enjoyable. The food was next level. It was cooked to perfection, and it stayed hot despite being in one of the outdoor cabins. I still think about that meal every day. A must go to restaurant! You won't regret it.

Ambiance was trendy yet intimate and the food was spectacular. Please get the corn and the cream spinach and the porterhouse steak. You won't regret it!!

We flew to New York from Los Angeles for Valentines Day to have dinner.I was looking on yelp/open table for a nice place for dinner, and decided on Quality Meats. The service was great and the food was awesome! The outside cabin was great for our dining experience and highly recommend!!We will be returning.

We were not pleased to have to wait 45 minutes past our reservation time. Yes, the waiting area has two full bars ($20 cocktails btw). The table bread was very soft and enjoyable. We ordered the Grilled Bacon has a surprisingly great combo of taste profiles from the jalapenos, peanut sauce and saltiness from the bacon. I loved it! For our main, we shared the dry aged rub prime sirloin which had a great charred exterior (I would've probably asked for a slightly more charred finish) cooked to a perfect medium rare. The side of gnocchi and cheese was delicious. Quality Meats gave us a complementary dessert for celebrating our anniversary with them!! The coconut cake was airy. We also ordered the mint sundae which I absolutely loved (bf thought the mint flavor was too forward but I did not!). The service was on par with what I was expecting and food/timing was great. While everything tasted phenomenal, the price point is a little too high (drinks, mains, and sides!) for what it's worth. Great special occasion spot for sure.

Throughout my career in this business, I have been fortunate to experience so many of the wonderful manhattan restaurants. I had been to "quality italian" years ago and it was great. My good friends came to town from PA, and we thought to take in a show and go out for an amazing dinner. I had always heard quality meats" was excellent and was excited to try it. Im so sorry to say it was highly disappointing. We were lead by our hostess through this beautiful location...music, and candle light, down a hallway to back room that look like it could have been a coat closet at one time.We were then sat at a wobbly table... this is not ordinarily a huge deal while eating at our favorite diner, yet i had come to expect excellence from steak houses of this caliber. Everything in a high end mid town nyc restaurant should be perfection. There were 4 people in our party and each of us ordered both steak and a side. The potatoes and fries dishes were ok ..nothing to blow us away and the creamed spinach did not arrive to us warm. My steak " the bone in sirloin" had an inedible salty crust, my husbands filet mignon was flavorless. The tamahawk steak my good friend enjoyed, her husband was unimpressed with his hanger steak.Again, im not a foodie by any means, however my husband and i know when something is finely cooked and delicious. We also know what most of these steakhouses can offer as far as atmosphere and menu. Quality fell short.

Great service and delicious meat! The tomahawk was so flavorful. It was like a party for your mouth! The service was attentive and kind. The sticky toffee pudding was so delicious. This was one of the best meals I've had in a while. I will definitely come back!
Be the first to ReplyCame here for a birthday dinner with a group of people.
It was great food, but the service was a bit off. If most of the party is there during reservation time they will seat you right away. Otherwise, you will have to wait until most of the people are there. I don't suggest this place if you are vegetarian. Not many options if you don't eat meat. Btw, if you want to drink a mock cocktail they make one. Just as a fyi! Anyways, unto what we all ate were the Butcher Cuts- 28 Day Dry-aged Prime Porterhouse, Slab Bacon with Peanut Butter and Jalapeño, Parmesan Waffle Fries, Spicy Brussels Sprouts, The QM Crabcake, Pan Roasted Crispy Potatoes, and Green Goddess Chopped Salad. Out of everything, I really enjoyed the Porterhouse and the Bacon. All in all I would return, but just hope that the service would be better.
Be the first to ReplyIncredible.
..I'm always about to explode from all the amazing food to eat when leaving this place. Great atmosphere, very Manhattan vibe. The creamed spinach is incredible as are their steaks. Definitely, a must-visit, if you're a die-hard steak fan, but also enjoy a very elegant Manhattan vibe.

What's in a name? Everything!Excellent food and service at this new-aged meat lover's paradise. Our porterhouse was well seasoned, juicy, and cooked perfectly medium-rare. We also enjoyed the creamed corn creme brulee and the creamed spinach. Our waiter (Mike A) was friendly and professional - all the service was terrific. We sat in a heated outdoor cabin which was private and cozy. Highly recommend this steakhouse.

The food was absolutely fantastic! So creative! We had the slab of bacon with peanut butter & jalapeno / apple (what a combo!), the corn brulee (I'd love a vat), and crispy fries as sides and appetizers. The fries were too soggy, but the waiter sweetly offered to remove from the bill. Props, too, for the brioche bread and best butter on the planet, and yummy cocktails. For entree, I had the 3 filet mignons with the special sauces (the peppercorn especially was heaven -- but beware, they charge the double PP price, even when you swear only you will be eating it, so it's a staggering $130!), and my friend ordered the Tomahawk ribeye with the dinosaur bone. HIS steak was really one of the most delicious i've ever tasted, and what a jaw-dropping image, with the giant bone. For dessert, my friend got a complimentary Toffee pudding with handmade ice cream since it was his birthday, absolutely incredible .... Our waiter was lovely, very attentive, with great recommendations. But while we waited for a table, I also asked the bartender (who recommended the bacon appetizer) and a waiter working the cabins outside (who lobbied for the ribeye) ....The industrial decor is very cool, but OMG, it is super loud in there with all the big tables full of revelers, you can barely hear your companion talk. Still, it was festive, and you kinda ask for it when you go to a popular restaurant. (BTW, hit the bathroom. Love the C Bigelow hand lotion! And cloth towels) .... The only snafu -- and it was not a small one, to put it mildly -- is that I wrote on the Open Table reservation that it was my friend's 70th birthday and that we needed a "nice" table. It was a 6:30 pm reservation on a Wednesday in winter, and though the place was hopping, there were at least 4 or 5 empty tables. Well, they assigned us the table right next to the kitchen, and the maitre d' claimed the other empties were "reserved" (though they continued to remain unoccupied for at least an hour). I think if I hadn't thrown a fit with my very big Greek Brooklyn voice, by the kitchen we would have sat. It took almost an hour to finally get a table, with something of an attitude from the maitre d' - and it was an empty table that I had originally pointed out! (I suspect we landed it, finally, because the manager got involved.) .... This stress was totally unnecessary. We were the oldest people in the restaurant, and a 70th birthday is very special. Have some respect. It started what should have been a very happy occasion on a very bad note, and it wasn't until our entrees arrived that I was able to calm down enough to enjoy .... Anyway, the food was special, and almost made up for it. I recommend not just placing a reservation on Open Table - even with a note - but calling ahead at least twice to make sure that you get assigned a decent table if it's a special event. Placing a birthday man at his age by the kitchen was insulting, and frankly, unforgivable - especially after I objected. I shouldn't have to turn into Attila the Hun for a basic, obvious accommodation, especially when it was easily possible .... PS- There are outdoor, heated, private, wood cabins in the front that looked wonderful, perfect for a romantic or private meal. We wanted to get the full restaurant experience since it was our first visit, but I recommend you consider them for a special adventure.

Truly the most disappointed I've ever been in an establishment. I chose this place specifically because I'm 9.5 months pregnant and need to remain cautious about Covid despite restrictions recently being dropped. I read that they had a nice outdoor setup. When I arrived to the outdoor dining space, there were curtains pulled that essentially enclosed the space with very little airflow. The server entered massless and we asked if she'd be willing to wear a mask since I was being extra cautious. She flat out refused, with the nastiest attitude I've ever seen. Pure spite in her eyes, and looked to be enjoying the fact that she was refusing to do something nice for a very pregnant woman. We also spoke to the manager who appeared to be about 25 years old and could not care less. Now, I'm all for restrictions dwindling and returning to normal life. However, if a circumstance arises where someone is pregnant or has a preexisting condition, it seems insane for someone in the SERVICE INDUSTRY to refuse putting on a mask momentarily. Especially in a liberal city like New York. By the way, that's no longer about giving up your freedoms, it's simply about being a bad human. Will never return to any of the Quality locations.
Be the first to ReplyOne of my favorite steakhouses in NYC.
They offer great steaks and always cooked to perfection. We usually come for every birthday event and they never disappoint. The bread and butter to start is addicting. If you're a steak lover this is the place. Great for date night and for group outing. The ribeye had great flavor and cooked just right. Sides were great and so was the dessert. Sad they took the pecan dessert out.

The Wife and I went to quality meats to celebrate a promotion. It did not disappoint. The atmosphere was very modern and trendy. I enjoy this compared to most old school steak houses. We had the jalapeño peanut butter bacon. A unique combination that manages to work. Steaks were cooked to perfection. The drinks were well crafted, they have modern takes on old classics. Staff at every level was top notch. It is expensive if I had to give a negative but that's to be expected for this experience.
