Staying in ME Melia and first attempted to eat in the lobby restaurant at 7pm to be advised it was open at 8pm. Not ideal for a family with small children.We asked what time the rooftop bar opened and his answer "i dont know ask reception" and this was a staff in the hotel !!!
Headed up to Rooftop bar, what a BIG mistake.
Ordered a drink, vodka and tonic which firstly came pre poured. I asked that it be poured at the table, 20 minutes later it arrived, i asked for lime and it came with the rind of a lime....the manager of the bar decided to come and tell me that the menu tiny small print advised that drinks are pre/poured. Firstly this is supposed to be 5 star hotel, second how does a bartender know how much tonic i want and second if you charge 20 euro for this, let the customer see you serve him Belvedere and not a cheap vodka. The food arrived next, my wife ordered VEGAN burger , it came with the bun freezig cold. The same arrogant manager comes and says its because of the guacamole .....its now beyond a joke. I ask the manager to apologise for the bad service and he says "i have nothing to apologise for" and we are there sitting with a 3 year old wh incidentally we ordered an Apple juice and they bring an orange juice!!!!!! / Sick and tired of these arrogant staff acting like they own the place. For a Melia hotel this is absolutely disgraceful. Ruy de Oliveira get back to hospitality school and learn to be polite to customers.
