I like pasta better than in Carbons.
I wish the portion be smaller. We could not finished our servings. Wine selection is good. Service and the atmosphere are good. Mix crowd-business, dates, families.

Great service and ambiance. Good for a first date if you are trying to impress unless you are bringing a foodie snob, then don't go!

Dine with elegance Best service Out of this world dining Veal Parmesan you would die for Most enjoyable Highly recommended Can't wait to try the other temptations
Be the first to ReplyWow! The food was spectacular.
The best chicken Parm I've ever had in my life, and I'd like to think I'm a chicken Parm connoisseur! Drinks are way overpriced, but the food quality and price makes up for the experience. Definitely definitely definitely visit if you can get a reservation.
Be the first to ReplyThe Italian food game is competitive in Miami.
If you were craving sub par pasta, you'd hit up an Olive Garden. Rao's is a good meal, but does it stand out from some of Miami's top Italian competitors? The Meal No bread. Every other table around us received bread. Halfway through our meal, a servers assistant offered us bread. The seafood salad stuck out to us the most. This was a must-try fish. Loved the meatballs. They were juicy and cooked perfectly. All of the pastas were good. They just weren't WOW dishes. More on the simple side. The cocktails were nothing crazy creative. I think they need to level up their espresso martini. You've got too many big dog restaurants out here getting creative with espresso martinis and Rao's is just coming in blasé. I get it. The menu is supposed to be more traditional and basic, but if you're going that route, then I expect TOP TIER traditional. The pasta dishes were pretty small. We ordered 3 for 5 of us and truthfully I think we needed to order more. The Service The service was mid. We made the comment that it seemed like because we were a party of 6, our server knew the automatic gratuity was locked in and didn't need to put in effort. The dining room was not chaotic. At one point all of the servers were standing in the corner staring at our table and snickering. I'm going to give them a pass and maybe they were staring as a compliment, but it was a LITTLE ODD. Was I blown away? No. Atmosphere was nothing spectacular. I could've been sitting in any hotel lobby restaurant. The same celebrity headshots are repeated throughout the restaurant. Come here for a casual nice dinner with family or maybe for a third date, but it's truly not the end of the world if you can't snag a reservation. I'm not going to do them dirty and mention other Italian places in my review, but do a little research on other Miami Italian restaurants first.

From the moment you walk in you get that vibe that this place will deliver, and it did. Let's start from the beginning The drinks at the bar were nice although the bartenders had a slight disagreement but our drinks were done correctly, onto the The main event. Vlad our server was Great, helped us along with our orders and how to order and suggestions on portions. Appetizers that you must try are the Seafood salad, The Clams and of course the Meatballs. Main Courses we had were the Sole from Spain, The Carbonara, The Rigatoni with Bolognese sauce, The Chicken Parmigiana All Were Fantastic. I need to go back and try different dishes.
Be the first to ReplyOriginally from NY I had high expectations.
The service was second to none and the food was very good. I started with the shrimp in lemon, garlic butter sauce which was amazing, had Angel hair lobster Fra Diavolo and it was also very good, the lobster was cooked to perfection very tender. I say this because most people tend to over cook the lobster. The reason for the 4 star is because the meatballs were very salty. They are well known for their meatballs so I'm not sure if this was the usual meatball and just a salty batch since this was my first time trying them. I will say it was a great evening and an overall wonderful experience.

Hailing from the New York area, we've always heard the stories about Rao's and the exclusivity of the restaurant. Apparently you buy the rights to a table basing it on the frequency, time, and dates you want to have dinner. Basically a country club type approach where you are waiting for somebody to pass away to get a membership. So seeing that Rao's opened in South beach, we tried getting reservations on our last few trips to SoBe and finally secured one on our recent trip at a reasonable time. The menu as described is largely Southern Italian, meaning pasta and red sauce which my wife ordered for her meal. Rao's pasta sauce is one of the best and I try to buy it when I can at the grocery store. I had the Veal Chop Parmesan which was well cooked and flavorful. We started our meal with the antipasto chop salad, which was your typical chopped salad with the addition of Italian cured meats. All in all, it was a very good meal. I feel a little let down given the cache of Raos's in the City. It's a very good restaurant, but not what I would consider fine dining.

Wow! It's like going back in time to a fabulous Italian restaurant with the best service. The food is delicious and serve in huge portions with giant smiles. I hope to return.

Another wonderful all around experience! A beautiful place to eat in the Loews on Miami Beach. Rao's is a throwback to those days when you are pampered in beautiful surroundings. The old style school of waiters is alive and well here. Everything we ate was delicious, fresh and beautifully served. Attention to detail made this a wonderful experience. We started with the appetizer of meatballs and ricotta then the veal ragu pasta followed by the veal parmigiana and penne ala vodka . This made for a feast fit for royalty. We decided to try a wine suggested by our knowledgeable waiter Javier that was delicious. We ended with two desserts the cheesecake and peanut butter tart. Both were an absolute pleasure to eat. I highly suggest this place . Worth the price for a delicious dinner on Miami Beach.
