Ok but rushed
A top rated Italian restaurant with homemade pasta. Food was very good but the portions were very small. Restaurant is small and reservations hard to grab. While the service was good โ not great โ we were RUSHED in and out. For the price, it should not be a โfast foodโ alternativeโฆโฆ

Special menu for Valentineโs Day was very disappointing. The review is for this meal only and we hope this is not a sign of new management or chef at the restaurant. We sincerely hope that more care is given to regular menus and maybe we should not come in the future on a holiday. We have had multiple exquisite meals here, but this meal did not come close to the quality you would expect for the expense of a wine pairing and meal. The pasta is wonderful which is why we rated 3 stars. The main courses were both sub par. Fish was cold, fishy and odd maybe more like a roulade. The duck was oddly sweet and chewy. The duck did not have a crisp skin. The wine pairings were focused on cleansing the palette with lots of acid and less on complimenting the food. To top the evening off, the dessert course which on Valentineโs you expect will be excellent, was a cold brownie they called a torte (on the online menu was sold as a souffle.)

We had such a great dinner at Restaurant Olivia! We just asked our server (Kayla - AMAZING!) to bring us everything she thought we needed to try. She did not disappoint! We tried the burrata, arancini, chopped salad, onion ravioli, peach and corn tortellini, gemelli, and the tagliatelle. The topper was the pistachio gelato that comes with the lemon olive oil cake. So stinking good. Everything was so delicious. The service was outstanding. Can't wait to go back.

Outstanding! From the minute we walked in the door until we left, this flawless restaurant wowed us. Kudos to the team of professionals who made our experience incredible. The food-WOW. The service-WOW. The atmosphere: WOW. We were in the biz for many years and this restaurant is top 5 and maybe number 1 in service. Thank you Shane, the Sommelier who is humble but incredibly knowledgeable, thank you Miguel for your bright smile and warm welcome, thank you Steve for your fun banter and keeping Katieโs water full LOL. Thank you for the team in the back for a beautiful meal. And thank you Austin for the private room that was completely unexpected and lovely! Thank you for making Katieโs birthday the best ever!
Be the first to ReplyPerfect for a special dinner
I have to say Restaurant Olivia met our expectations for a celebratory special dinner. Food and service were great and the dining room, while small, was very pleasant. We started with cocktails, which were all expertly prepared. The menu is manageable, but not overwhelming. We did not find all of the dishes on the prix fixe menu option appealing, and so we ordered a la carte. There are a number of pasta dishes and appetizers, but only a couple of traditional entrees. Service begins with a wonderful focaccia, complementary, which is becoming a rare treat these days, and I always appreciate this now. It's hard to believe that some Italian restaurants don't even offer bread these days. We enjoyed our all the appetizers we sampled. A real standout were the grilled asparagus. Perfectly prepared. The Venison Polpette were delicious as well. The chef used huckleberries in the preparation which was such a pleasant surprise. Everybody in our dining party enjoyed their pasta selections. Perhaps the weakest dish was the spaghetti with shrimp. Nothing bad here, but for our taste just the weakest. Parpadelle with lamb was delicious. One disappointment was that the menu online showed stuffed squash blossoms, which were not available. I realize there is always a risk of the online menu veering from the actual offerings, but I was surprised as this restaurant seems to pay attention to details. Some things to be aware of that might bother some diners. A 20% tip is added automatically. Not a concern for me as I usually tip that much for good service. I know this policy may offend some, so know this before you go. A pet peeve for me is restaurants that use Tock, which is not my favorite platform for reservations. When I see Tock, it usually means I have to pay a deposit or the full dinner fee up front, and there are often strict policies to cancel. I get it, but sometimes things happen. Another dislike about Tock is that restaurants don't credit your check, but issue a refund, so sometimes you are waiting day for your refund, AND you've paid for your full meal. Boo to restaurants that use Tock. Keep those points in mind, but otherwise I expect you will have a great meal at Olivia!

Where to start?? The top 3 meals we've EVER had. From the house made bread and freshest, perfectly dressed salad, to the wildly amazing palette cleanse and divine pastas, to the most innovative desserts, everything was perfection. My *only* complaints were: - BOOK IN ADVANCE. Like 3 weeks. Tiny, TINY space with maybe 15 tables. - because it's small, it'll be loud - portions are on the smaller side. The chef only prepares enough bread for 1 small loaf/table or two for a 4 top. So if you want more, tough luck. Ravioli portion is tiny and my husband was bummed their wasn't more. - If your reservation is late, they will be out of something you'd like on the menu. For us it was an appetizer. - water that is always filled for you is warm tap water, not chilled or with ice; definitely a bummer. - pay attention to your bill. Website says a 20% gratuity would be added to tables of 4+. We were a 2 top and the 20% had already been added. Little sneaky on their part. Overall, the perfect flavors of the dishes outweighs most of the nuances we noticed. Bravo ๐๐ป
Be the first to ReplyTry the burrata, stay for the ravioli!
For our 14th anniversary, Bob and I made reservations at Restaurant Olivia in Wash Park. Focused on Italian homemade pastas and artisan cocktails, this place has something for everyone! The ravioli was absolutely heavenly! Each homemade pasta is filled with gruyere fondue, served in a caramelized onion jus and topped with shaved parmesan. (Basically...French onion soup ravioli). Venison makes a fitting seasonal addition to the menu. We started with a decadent meatball appetizer called "poplette", which incorporated venison, pork, macadamia nuts, tarragon cream in a pomodoro sauce. The star of the show for me was the burrata. This is sold as a supplement you can add to the complementary focaccia bread service. It is absolutely worth it! The burrata is served less than 36 hours from the time it leaves the cows in a village outside of Naples, Italy. The freshness and creaminess of the burrata makes it the best I have ever tasted! Don't delay! Reservations can be made on the Tock app.

Very small dining room of cozy tables. The greeting was warm and the service was prompt. The menu is mostly modern takes on classic Italian dishes. All the food was very very rich. It was hard to find good wine on the wine list that was under $100. There are four of us and we shared one appetizer. We each got an entrรฉe. Shared one dessert and one bottle of wine. Gratuity of 20% was automatically added to the bill and it came out to $450. Again, everything was delicious and the service was great but I probably wonโt be rushing back there because of the price.

This was one of the very BEST meals i have ever had in a restaurant. and i do get out often. Rocco paired our meal and dessert with wine and apertifs that were perfect. i don't usually like sauvignon blanc wine because it has a grapefruit after taste to me but Rocco served me one that was so good. And Miguel who worked the bar the night we were there was so enjoyable to chat with. Book ahead. it's a busy place. you will understand why when you go there!

One of the rare places I wish thee were more than a scale of five! I had a very enjoyable meal; great food, impeccable service, and a wonderful atmosphere. Itโs a small restaurant, so I recommend making a reservation. If youโre in the area this is a must visit if you appreciate great experiences.
Be the first to ReplyGreat meal & service
I went here with some friends. We ordered drinks, appetizers, main dishes & desserts. Everything was amazing! We split appetizers, Arancini (dish comes with 3 & we added an extra one), and a bread with burrata. Both were delicious. For dinner, I got the Sweet Corn Tortellini. OMG! This was one of the best meals I've ever eaten. I ate the entire serving (it wasn't huge, but enough to fill me). For dessert, we split a Pavlova & Panna Cotta. Both were good. I had looked at the menu online right before we left for dinner. The online menu was not the same as the menu in the restaurant. The waiter stated that the menu is constantly changing, so what is shown online might not be what's actually available. The restaurant isn't huge. This would be a good place to go for a romantic dinner or for a special occasion because it was pricey.
Be the first to ReplyNice dining experience
The service was superb, without being pretentious. The food was very good -- delicious and creative combinations of flavors, not to mention wonderful homemade pasta. Staff were very accommodating of our special dietary requests, without much fuss. Prices here, though, are too high, by about 20-30% in my opinion. But, hey, this is a restaurant that caters to a privileged clientele, the kind who eye you carefully when you walk in the front door, instinctively assessing exactly where you fit within their social hierarchy rankings. People who, frankly, would be more at home in L.A. than in Denver. There goes the neighborhood.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful food, Noise level excruciating
I had a non-traditional diner with a Bolognese pasta. It was delicious. This not a dining experience to enjoy because the NOISE LEVEL was horrific. The other people in my party said his eyes were ringing after we left. I would like to return, but the joy of being social there is not pleasant.

Be the first to ReplyThe Best Fine Dining in Denver
If you are looking to have an extra-special, extraordinary fine dining Italian meal, look no further. I had been serving overseas for six months. I missed a number of significant milestones including Thanksgiving. I wrote Oliviaโs saying in my reservation request that I was hoping to have a belated Thanksgiving with my husband but wasnโt returning to the US until two days after Thanksgiving. Imagine my surprise when the server told me they were no longer serving their traditional Thanksgiving meal, but that the kitchen had made me my very own turkey pot pie to take home. They gave me the option of eating it then or taking it home. I opted to eat it the next day while I was recovering from jet lag and it was FABULOUS! The restaurant treated us like royalty. I felt like their long lost sister. We were given a champagne toast along with attentive, yet unobtrusive service together with the most delicious, homemade pasta ever!! This wonderful restaurant truly rolled out the red carpet and made me feel so welcome after being gone so long. I wish all of my military brothers and sisters and first responders could enjoy the pampering you will get at this amazing restaurant. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the most memorable welcome home ever!! โค๏ธ
Be the first to ReplyThe most divine food & service experience ever! ๐
Iโve been here a few times and the food and service is top notch every single time. You can taste the love and care put into making the food. The ambiance is calming and delicate. Heather and Austin, the owners, are always there, so you can feel their investment in your dining experience. Itโs my favorite go-to place when Iโm feeling that I need something special, and they deliver that. Whether you are with friends, on a date, or flying solo, you will feel welcome. I love this place. Itโs got it all, and is worth the money youโll spend for an experience that will leave you feeling good. Iโm so grateful that they made it through Covid. They enhance the neighborhood vibe and offer something special. Try it, and youโll see. ๐
