Restaurante Cadaqués Madrid Reviews from The Last Year
Happiness!
Very nice surprise during a walk in Madrid Excellent from start to finish The rice dish for 2 is very well made Gourmet desserts Thank you for this good time
!! Si !!
My partner had been trying to book a table here for some time, but he was always finding it fully booked. When he succeeded, there was a booking error, and a table was booked for Barcelona and not Madrid. Fortunately, they were able to rectify this on the day and arrange a table in Madrid, although there was much consternation until this was resolved. We had mussels to start with a highly spiced (but not overly spicy) sauce and calsots with Romescu, which was beautifully presented. I would definitely recommend the calsots (baby leeks). A black rice dish with cuttlefish and monkfish was our shared main course. It is carried to the table and presented to the diners with great pride. I found it a little too salty for my taste, but maybe this is the Spanish way. It didn't resolve for me the difference between a "rice dish" and a "paella," although I fear this is an esoteric and archaic point beyond English comprehension. The creme caramel dessert is to die for.
Nice place, good food, quiet
Nice restaurant, well located on Jorge Juan street.. one of the prettiest in the Salamanca neighborhood. Very good service and outstanding dishes, all delicious, they specialize in fires., We ordered artichokes, they looked like paper... crispy, then an omelette with a prawn sauce... I have never eaten such an omelette in Madrid, exquisite, light... Then grilled sea bass and a Yaya stew with chicken and chocolate secrets... a delicious bomb. For dessert, hot cheesecake, different and delicious. It's not cheap.. it's on par with other places in the area
Excessive price for common dishes
The truth is that the price is excessive for what the dish really is, we ordered lobster rice and nothing really surprised us with ordinary rice, the price on the menu says minimum 2 People but they charge you twice for the dish instead of putting the price for 2 people on the a la carte menu. What a disappointment
Excessively expensive for the quality it offers
Short glass of aged wine €7.5. Plate of rice equivalent to a wall that they give you with a beer in any bar €16 and cold, Quality and quantity not in line with the prices. Very expensive for what they offer. Better options in the area, not worth going.
Good experience
A highly recommended experience whether you go with friends, family or a partner. A spectacular grill where they make most of their dishes, the rice with duck that the manager offered us is highly recommended.
Tasty food but judging staff
The restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel staff. We arrived very hungry from the airport and went straight for dinner. The hostess was very unpleasant, judging us by our clothes and making annoyed sounds because we didnt have reservation. We didnt know there was a dress code but she did find us a table. The waiters were very friendly. Without asking they gave us a french menu we couldn't read so we had to ask for an English one. The food however was very tasty and worth it.
A smokescreen at best
Our concierge recommended this paella restaurant to us. The only problem is it is not a paella restaurant, but a seafood one that has a few rice dishes with .... The matre d sat us, and after the waitress brought us the wine menu and bread, he returned with an elaborate, overpriced menu. When we asked about paella dishes, he poo-pooed paella and told us their creamy rice dishes were far superior. The choices were minimal with a very strange mix of seafood ingredients. We finally settled on rice with lobster, at 48€ per person, with a 2 person minimum. He offered to remove the lobster from its shell. About 20 minutes later, he returned to the table with a casserole of brown rice and VERY minimal lobster. The total dish could not have had 1/4 pound of edible lobster meat. After displaying the order with his dirty nails, he divided up the dish and served it. Getting past the nails, we tried the dish. I received rice and the legs/tentacles, no flesh. The other two plates had a lot of shell and little flesh as well. The entire order, for 3 persons, at 48€ per person, probably shared 1 one pound lobster. The rice was very hard and coated with a fishy sauce, not creamy at all. It is beyond belief that restaurants stay in business at these prices with such deficient service and uninspired food.
Value for money that could be improved
Nice restaurant, very nice and cozy. The meter that served us was super nice and very attentive We ordered three dishes and a dessert. The product/raw material is very very good but the price is expensive for three people and for the dishes we ordered. As a note, the price of the monkfish was very notable since it said 100 grams but they didn't tell us anything about it. what size the product was going to be and that was reflected in the final price We paid about €160 for three people.
Debut, Disillusioned
Enter because I found it on my way. They sat me in a very narrow stool-type chair, uncomfortable. According to the manager, I couldn't order fish, they wouldn't clean it for me. He told me to give me an appetizer without warning that they would charge me for it later, let me know! Anyway, I wanted to eat well and they could only serve me a tapa of rice with a clam and a piece of monkfish! Debut
Super successful celebration
We really liked the place, the food was delicious, and although there is no children's menu it was very easy because they made us the most cooked omelette and the rice was perfect! The duck rice was spectacular, the leeks, croquettes and salad were incredible!! corvina ri quina and cod too! The desserts are all delicious! And I, who have celiac disease, took great care of me! The service was great, super attentive all the time and we were also celebrating my in-laws' golden wedding and they put up a screen for us to have more privacy downstairs and so we put up some balloons and some photos and without any problem. The truth is that I had gone with my husband before and I left delighted, but with the celebration I can say that I completely fell in love! I will repeat again with family, friends and whoever wants to come!
Average but prices
Disappointing supposed to be main specialty, rice. Service, good but average. Atmosphere a bit down, and prices that are exaggeratedly expensive.
Highly recommended
Beautiful place in the chic part of Madrid. Good service and excellent Mediterranean food: rice, fish, meats, vegetables... all of good quality and cooked in an incredible way

Good question. Currently the bidder will have to include the prepaid dinner price plus bid to secure the reservation. AT is currently working on an upcoming release where the prepaid amount and the bid amount are two separate transactions. Happy Bidding!
