Great with Food allergies
Great with food allergies. Staff was knowledgeable about ingredients, but also ensured safety by asking the chef. Also recommended other safe items on the menu for my daughter, who has life-threatening food, allergies to dairy and nuts. They understand food allergies, cross, contamination, and making sure that every member of your party has a great experience.

Absolutely awesome food, service and ambiance. Blown away by how awesome everything was here. Will definitely be back for sure.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, service and ambience!
Where do I begin....The ambience is wonderful, food is fabulous, service outstanding. In addition to the menu showing on line, is another menu of specials (alot of specials) Order a cocktail, sit back and relax and review all the options...There were 5 in our party and we ordered a variety of appetizers to sample as much as we could. All were equally delicious....For our entrees, again quick the variety from eggplant, to sausage special, shrimp, carbonara, to flounder filet...Entrees were plentiful, 3 out of 5 of us had to take food home. Desserts (another menu) and again hard to make a decision...We had a few orders of the Zabaglione, sorbet and cheesecake. Would highly recommend, bring your appetite!

I rarely give 5 stars at but this one is worth it! My bestie & I went to have dinner on a Thursday & it was bustling with energy & good vibes. Waiting for our table to be ready we went to the bar. Smiling bartender served our drinks and that quickly tap on the shoulder to go to our table. My friend wanted upstairs but it had a full party upstairs. Which had us sit at a nice table. Our waiter was wonderful! I had mozzarella and tomatoโฆ Heaven! Bolognese was my entrรฉeโฆOMG! Coming back for sure!

We were a family of four coming to MV for the first time. It took around 7 weeks before I could find a reservation and this was for 5:15 and the restaurant was almost full. The menu you can see on the web site was misleading. There is a second menu. You cannot go wrong in ordering from this menu. It was hard to make a single choice but we were glad we did. We ordered 7 different selections to sample the chefโs skills. We did not have a single complaint. The food here is outstanding. Worth 5 Stars. They had a big selection of desserts, excellent and had a great wine list. Our sever Hanna is what every server should be. She gave us help in explaining some of the menu items and what she recommended. She was very polite, courteous, and attentive to our requests and always had a smile. Overall the service was excellent The dรฉcor was great but because of the stone walls and a very high ceiling it resulted in the noise level being very high. Do not let that stop you from coming here. You will do not want to miss the great food.
Be the first to ReplyGood Food, Beautiful Space, Bad Management
I recently had dinner here twice in short period of time. On Thursday night, I visited with 2 of my clients. I arrived and waited to check in at the front. While I waited for the host, another couple came in behind me. When the host arrived he completely ignored me, stepped around me and went to the people behind me, which he knew. The guy behind me was nice enough to tell the host that I was there before them and to take care of me. I waited in the bar and my guests arrived. I then asked the host as he was seating us if you could make reservations to eat at the bar (because there were a number of empty seats with "Reserved" sign in front of them), He dismissively told me that only regulars were allowed to do that. OK! So we had a nice dinner with good service in a beautiful space. Then, on Saturday night, I returned for our small office Christmas dinner. Before we came, I checked the website and saw that the restaurant charged a $60 corkage fee for outside wine. I had a special bottle I wanted to bring and while that was the highest corkage fee I have ever had to pay, it was ok. We again had drinks at the bar, cashed out the bill, and sat for dinner. When the waitress came over, she told me that the corkage fee for my bottle would be $90. I said that was ridiculous, and that their website said it was $60. She said no it was $90, and I told her to look at their website and talk to someone. She came back and said we would only be charged the $60. We did order a bottle of white wine from their list as well, which was $94. When the bill came there was a line "alcohol $180". I mistakenly thought the bottle of white we ordered was $120 plus the $60 corkage. But when I got home, I realized the bottle of white was $94, so in fact they charged us an $86 corkage fee. The restaurant is doing very well and its always hard to get a reservation. The service at the table was fine and the food was good, but this behavior was unacceptable to me and I wont be returning.

Delicious! Food, service and atmosphere are excellent. Went for dinner with the family. Every single dish we ordered was prepared perfectly. The service was exceptional. We will definitely come back.
Be the first to ReplyGreat hangout for locals.
Attractive Restaurant with a lot of space. You can tell the place was newly renovated with lots of fine details. Bit crowded and noisy for my taste. The food was good although it took a long time to be served. It feels like is the new kid in town that everyone wants to meet. Everyone seemed to know each other, you can tell they were locals and they were enjoying the ambiance at the Bar. Would like to come back when is not so busy.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent choice for a night out
Itโs not easy to get a reservation here and I can see why itโs so popular. The atmosphere was a 5 for us. We had been to this location once before when it was under the name Equus. The ambiance was great then and MV has taken it to a whole other level. Itโs really beautiful inside and out with a great, lively vibe. The bars are fantastic too. The outdoor seating looks nice as well. The service was close to a 5. As is the norm these days, I think our sever was stretched a little thin. The drinks were delicious. I had the Paloma. The dinner menu is quite extensive. What you see on the website, is just a sample of what is offered. The food ranged from a 3 to a 5. I had the beet salad and the spaghetti with squid ink and scallops and shrimp. Beet salad was ok. Green beans were a little rubbery. The scallops and shrimp were outstanding. Maybe the best prepared scallops Iโve ever eaten. Just wish there was a bit more of it. There were only 2 scallops and maybe 3 shrimp with the dish, but then again the dish was only $38. The pasta was ok and same for the sauce. My husband had the caprese salad and the cavatelli with bolognese sauce. The mozzarella with the salad was some of the best weโve tasted. For his main, he said the ricotta was outstanding. The sauce was ok. Our deserts were delicious. I had the tiramisu and my husband had the chocolate torte. No doubt weโll be returning to this restaurant. Would love to try the upstairs bar for dinner next time. Very inviting atmosphere.
Be the first to ReplyMaybe it was my order
I asked if my dish could be made with no spicy peppers and was assured it could. I could not eat it because it was too spicy. The wait person never came back and asked how everything was to even ask if she could replace my order.

We are Brooklyn friends, devastated when Queen on Court Street closed during the pandemic, to reopen as Ristorante MV in Bernardsville, NJ. Our pilgrimage to the new place was rewarded with the same warm hospitality, the best up-scale Italian food now west of the Hudson, and a wonderful set of new memories from our relaxed and festive evening. Service is all we could want and the meal from fresh mozzarella appetizer (and more!), entrees, and broad array of desserts, accompanied by an exceptional wine and liquor selection, better than we deserve.
Be the first to ReplyA gem - NY city quality in Morris county
There are a limited number of restaurants I rate in Morris county and this has now firmly established itself one of them. This was dinner with two other couples and they were very gracious when we asked to make our table earlier. The food was (now as ever) a cut above the other Italians in Morris county. Their mozzarella is always awesome. We shared a variety of appetizers and they were all good. The Gnocchi is always great. The only thing - bring your reading glasses (if needed) as the menu is extensive and the specials list is also always extensive. Overall well worth the visit and I would expect to see this place winning some awards as it firmly establishes itself.
Be the first to ReplyDonโt waste your money at this restaurant
Took 1 month to get a reservation. Had high expectations. So disappointed. Staff are all Junior and inexperienced. They donโt even introduce themselves and not one consistent server at our table. For their prices service should be more personal. Food all subpar. We get tastier chicken parm and pasta at local pizza joint for 1/4 of the price. No flavor to sauces. Clams not even shucked in clams casino so hard to eat. Italian cheesecake worst we have had, terrible consistency and no flavor. We really wanted to love this place but does not live up to the NY hype. Fear itโs a jinxed building, so many restaurants fail there. Donโt waste you money, so many better Italian restaurants in NJ.

Went for our anniversary . . . . . Came in and were greeted properly. Were seated no issues. Drinks were ok. Ordered apps and mains because thats the way it had to be according to our server. We had the fresh mozzella with orange truffle and baked clams both were fine but not outstanding. for the mains we had Red Snapper and Shrimp Francese . . . . . . The shrimp had a fishy smell but tasty OK . . . . Felt a bit rushed by the staff during the course of the meal but it was early and we were not about to spend $15 on everyday desserts. My try again but NOT too soon.
