It's tough to find a better value.
Having stayed in a wide variety of lodging, from motel rooms that resemble flophouses and gorgeous suites at the Ritz-Carleton, I understand the trade-off between price and quality. Sometimes you have to hold your nose and tough it out, and other times you're pleasantly surprised. I'm glad to say that this Rodeway Inn & Suites falls squarely in the latter category. The beds were comfortable, there was a Keurig coffee machine, a fridge, a microwave and a decent TV. The comforters and drapes were cheerful, and a blue accent wall brightened up the room. There was what looked like a Cheerio on the floor next to the night stand, so it wasn't immaculately clean. But it was perfectly acceptable for our family with three kids 10 and under. (I spotted some framed art in the hallway, which suggests the owners are looking to spruce up the facilities. Good stuff!)The wall-mounted, under-window HVAC unit kept the room toasty warm and provided a nice white noise effect, even though we faced the rear of the building (with a view of Lowes!) and heard no traffic noise anyway. It's always nice to be pleasantly surprised!

I booked this room for 2 nights. First night I would be getting in very late/early Next morning going right to sleep and then leaving quick in the morning. I Get to my room, looks dingy, not super clean, but nothing I felt like I haven't seen before. I sleep wake up and run out the door for a course I'm in. When I come back later that day I have time to actually relax and end up seeing the extent of The room. I was horrified. First there was a pile of dead bugs in the corner near the door. Nothing too crazy. I keep looking. Bed sheets have nasty brownish, stains. (Beds were horrible too). I make my way to the bathroom, the counter had dirty spots over it so I clean them up with wipes I have. Then I realize there are some gross looking splatters near the doorframe. I thought maybe it's rust, but I wipe it. Cleans off. It was FECES. Disgusting. It was all over. This place looks decent at quick glance but do not stay here. So it's about 6pm and I go to tell front desk I am leaving and I want a refund for my remaining night even and they REFUSED. They said I shoulda let them know earlier in the day. Said it's not their fault I waited. It's not MY FAULT you guys didn't clean your hotel rooms! It's not my job to inspect the place for something your housekeeping should be doing. I didn't see it before 2pm because I was away. Once I found it they were notified and left. This hotel is unlivable if there is this must disgust there. I travel the whole country for work, I don't write many negative hotel reviews, go look. This one is bad. Management is terrible to say they aren't going to refund after what I found because i should have found it earlier. What a joke do not stay here please.

The room was clean. The towels were clean. It was $100 cheaper than the hotel in New Paltz I normally stay.If you just use it as a place to sleep it was fine. The staff were courteous and friendly. The only drawback was no coffeemaker in the room. I picked up a large coffee at DD the night before and nuked it in the morning.I will stay there again the next time I 'm back in the area.

.. sorry but the place was shady and filthy. Never in my life have I eaten 100 dollars. I am really cheap. However, prior to checking any of the reviews we booked a room, paid and got our key. I went in the room and immediately knew I couldn't stay there. I didn't haggle or ask for money back. We just left and went to Hampton's Inn and stayed the night then returned the keys to the Rodeway in the morning. I have never in my life done that before. I have stayed all over the east coast in many different places. After reading some of the reviews I actually felt some of the same things...like cameras everywhere? I thought too that maybe some were in the rooms. Also I thought of bed bugs. Anyway I listened to my gut and I'm glad I did. Don't make the same mistake.

We had driven past it has been used to live in the area many times.Pluses: It was a great value. Reallycheap. The service was nice and they let us check in early. There is indeed free coffee with creamer and sugar in the morning. Also when I asked them to clean smudge on the wall they did right away. The towels were clean and it does have a fridge, microwave, and iron and ironing board. The tv works well. The beds and bathroom were clean. Cons: You get what you pay for. The facilities are very in need of updating and sprucing up.

Filthy. And they had cameras everywhere! I was afraid to shower simply because I didn't trust they didn't have them throughout the room. Find someplace else.

As soon as we pulled up to this place and I took one look at it, I knew things were not gonna be good...that was the 1st red flag....2nd red flag was when we walked in to check in and the smell of mildew or something hit me...at this point it's late and every hotel in the area was packed. As we walked to our room, the people in the room across from us were extremely loud...anyhoo..let's get to the room, first of all its 20 degrees outside, we walk into the room and they had the air conditioner blasting! I then decided to check the bed for signs of bed bugs..did not see any , however when I checked the pillows, it appears there may have been a previous problem. Also, hair was on the bed and covers...I honestly do not believe they wash their laundry after each guest. I sat on the bed, while waiting for my husband to go ASK for me a toothbrush and I began to smell this strong familiar scent and realized the same air freshener that was sprayed in the hallway wreaked on the blanket...I cld not take the smell and decided to take the cover off, this leads me to believe they don't wash, they spray. ...also cld not get a wink of sleep due to this loud irritating noise that sounded off every 5min! Oh, and I truly believe they turned the heat off on us! the television was purposely unplugged...I guess to discourage us from turning it on...not to mention the tiny specs of blood over the headboard and the dried up spot on the carpet... I always felt like I was being watched and swapped in germs...bottom line...I gave my husband such a hard time I am positive we will not staying here ever again!

If I could give zero stars I would. They tried to scam us, horrible horrible experience! I don't even know where to start! The hotel was absolutely disgusting. We booked this hotel in advance for a wedding we were attending in town. We stopped by before the wedding to check in and saw how horrible it looked/smelled. We were outside the cancelation window so we decided to just take the loss and pay for the night - even though there was no way we were staying there. We decided to vacate the room early and head back home following the wedding. We would rather drive all night than subject ourselves and our newborn baby to the filth of this hotel (see detailed list below of what was wrong with our room...) We were driving home and we get a call from hotel front desk man "Ed". We honestly thought it was a joke at first. Ed asked if we were at the hotel and in our room. He wanted to know where we were and if we were coming back tonight? Sketchy much? It gets worse. He began to claim that we left the hotel room door open and there was a random man inside smoking. He claimed that this man damaged the room and broke a window and "damaged lots of things." Ed said he would have to charge us a $150 smoking fee and damage fee. We politely explained that we disagreed with this and that we didn't leave the door open, never smoked in the room, and that we didn't even use the room. He mentioned over an over "I'm not going to charge you, I just want to get to the bottom of things" we cooperated and answered all questions he had but he still wasn't satisfied. He continued to go back and forth between "I'm going to have to charge you" and "I'm not going to charge you." At one point he said he had "video evidence" of my husband smoking and wrecking the room and threatened to call the police on us! My husband spent over 30 minutes on the phone with Ed trying to explain we didn't do anything and that we decided to not even stay there. It was no use as I said before talking to Ed was impossible. Besides horrible management this hotel also: - smells awful- black mold in the shower- TV didn't work, didn't even turn on - no electricity in the bathroom, light wouldn't even turn on- bathroom door didn't close

I just walked in to my room and the smell hit me like a dead fish. 180 dollars they charged me for this shit hole. Crack heads I'm sure would complain. I son said he would rather sleep in the car.

We stayed here for a wedding in New Paltz after it was recommended on the Zola website for $135 per night. The manager did not honor the price and charged $180 per room per night. The girl at the desk confirmed to me the cheaper rate, but said she could not change the rate. Later, the manager told me the rate was never valid--I was not surprised. One of the first rooms smelled like cat pee, and we were given another room. The breakfast is sad--OJ out of a jug, warm hard boiled eggs, some homemade sandwiches, and pancake maker. Thankfully there was yogurt. Rooms were adequate--nothing fancy; no coffee available. Not a good value at $180 a night; maybe good at $100 or less.
