😒 3/5 - I've visited the restaurant on Dean Martin Drive and have

I've visited the restaurant on Dean Martin Drive and have given it high marks. It's a hip, healthy, wonderful idea.Unfortunately, based on my recent visit to the branch on Stephanie, they have some work to do to match their sister restaurant.I was driving by, noticed the other location, and made a spur of the moment decision to grab a snack.First, I ordered the hummus with cucumber slices. The first oops was bringing the side dish with pita bread rather than cucumber slices. But that was easily correctable, which the server gladly did. In fact, he left the pita bread with me and said I could have both. Well, that was a blessing and a curse. The pita bread was invitingly warm with a soft texture. I got by with only eating four of the eight pita triangles, which partly defeated my healthy snack purpose. Cucumbers have fewer carbs than pita bread. While I take responsibility for my own eating choices, I partly blame SkinnyFats for not bringing what I ordered.Further, the portion of hummus was not nearly as generous as the portion I received at the other store.I also ordered the cauliflower rice, which sounded delicious, but ended up being the second oops. And had it not been sinfully over salted, it would have been amazing. The texture was perfect and cooked perfectly. With the cauliflower, there were also capers, golden raisins, and almonds, a spectacularly designed dish.Don't get me wrong, even though I watch my salt portion carefully, I still love salt. But this over salting situation was beyond the pale. The cup of rice may have required an 1/8 teaspoon of salt at most, 1/4 teaspoon for salt lovers, but there had to be a full teaspoon or more in the version I received (for a mere cup of cauliflower rice!). It honestly tasted as if the cook spilled the salt shaker on to the rice.I will certainly try the cauliflower rice another time and have no doubt, it will be done better. But on this day, it was not up to par. Finally, a word must be said about the no change policy. The restaurant takes credit cards or exact change. Like me, if you don't have exact change, you simply have to overpay for your order. That is silly and insulting. Okay, maybe during the pandemic when there was a change shortage, that was understandable. But guys, the pandemic is over. And whether true or not, customers are naturally going to assume the company is using such a policy to pad its profits. There's nothing wrong with profits, when earned honorably, but pure and simple--albeit in a small way to each individual--this is squeezing customers. If not, it certainly feels that way. Besides, time is money, and it slows down the order line to have customers sifting through their pockets to locate the exact change. Bad form, SkinnyFats! Finally, not once did anyone come by to check on my order. That, despite a restaurant with only a small handful of customers. That would have given me the opportunity to share my concerns in person rather than on the internet. SkinnyFats, you can (and have) do better.
