Food was terrible.
Service was extremely slow. Lights were so dim we couldn't read the menu or see the food (which may have been for the best).

Great food great service must try their indo Chinese recipes. Chicken lollipop was mind blowing. The Manchurian dishes are must try and the Triple Shezwan is a dish worth driving to.

Food was delicious, cocktails were fantastic and the service was best of all. really enjoyed it and highly recommend them before a show near Times Square or anytime. will definitely go back often!
Be the first to ReplyProbably my favorite Indian place in the city.
The paneer makhani is very flavorful and delicious. It has the right amount of spice that is needed in the mild especially since this isn't supposed to be a spicy dish. One time I asked for spicy and they added so many green chilies it was unbearable to eat but every other time the paneer has been perfect. We were a fan of there schezuan noodles as well as their chili paneer. Would recommend eating there.
Be the first to ReplyThis used to be my favorite Indian place to eat at.
The quality has gone down, I find hairs in my food. The yogurt is watered down and I had a horrible allergic reaction to the fake food dye in the dishes. I didn't even know I was allergic to food dye but I went to the ER last night because my face and through blew up. I would say eat at your own risk. I didn't even get a refund.
Be the first to ReplyIt's been a few years, but they still got it.
Just got the lunch special with Palak Paneer and a Coriander Soup. All were properly spiced, India style, too hot for most tourists. Reminded me big time of when I lived in South India. The Lunch Special comes with Rajma and Naan and Rice. Also a great not too sweet Kheer.

Who are these people who liked the food from this place? Most terrible food ever! Everything we ordered was so bad- it was nothing like Indian Chinese about it. Never order from there.
Be the first to ReplyFood was great and the service from Monji S was excellent.
The ambiance was very suiting to the restaurant aswell.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is a hidden gem! The lunch special is outrageous.
I posted the menu to this review - there are so many options for everyone and it is so well priced! ALL YOU CAN EAT INDIAN FOOD for less than $20 in Manhattan?? I'm honestly shocked this isn't on every lunch deal website ever. Great laid back ambiance and very kind and attentive staff. Fast service. No complaints at all.

This is a well priced, unassuming Indian restaurant with largely anything you could want on the menu. Definitely recommend the Hakka noodles.
Be the first to ReplyI place food here for lunch for our company lunch.
Not only did it arrive on time the food was delicious. The quality and quantity! The dishes were filled well & neatly packed! I was very happy to call the place and they made an exception to send it to me few blocks out of there zone.Great place great good & very friendly!!
Be the first to ReplyWe ordered three main dishes.
1. Shrimp tandoori- excellent, flavored throughout, cooked appropriately. The sauce was perfect. 2. Chicken tikka masala- we loved the sauce which is of course what makes the meal. 3. Gobi cauliflower dish- tasty, with deep flavors. We had the gheer for dessert, nothing outstanding like the rest of the dishes
Be the first to ReplyFantastic food and wonderful service.
We particularly enjoyed Afan and Roland. Will definitely make it a point to come back!

If you are looking for the authentic Indian food with an affordable price, then this is THE PLACE! They have pretty much covered North, South and West Indian cuisines. Their Indo chinese cuisine is impeccable! The samosa chaat reminded me of the Mumbai street chaat! I personally wanted to thank the chef for the Indo Chinese food and the Samosa chaat. Their lunch is very affordable with varities of food. My husband and I liked the combination of their Daily Lunch special. They have very well considered veg, non veg and sea food lovers for their Daily Lunch menu. My husband picked chicken malai as the appetizer, veg fried rice ( unlimited)and chicken manchurian for the entree and I picked samosa chaat as the appetizer with shrimp manchurian with veg fried rice and desert, which costed us only $32. This didn't end here. We took Triple Szechuan noodles with shrimp manchurian and a chicken tikka take away! I was not that happy with their Mango lassi, it was a bit sour, so we went for the diet coke. The place can accomodate 10 to 15 people ,so most of the orders were pick up and home deliveries! The manager was a great guy, who helped us to choose the right food from the menu. He was very friendly and approachable! Great hospitality, value for money and time!I would recommend this place to all my friends! It's worth to give a try!

I've been ordering from here just about every week for at least the last two and half years, and have yet to be disappointed! The lunch specials are delicious and filling -- not skimpy at all. Everything is fresh and delicious.UberEats doesn't seem to allow me to add comments when giving thumbs up in their reviews, so I had to come here and reiterate that I'm a longtime happy customer
Be the first to ReplyOrdered 3 items and all three had issues.
Chicken lollipop was coated with skin and fat. We had ordered mild spice level and the food was extremely spicy. We could not enjoy or taste the food due to its spice level.
Be the first to ReplyHaving heard my co-workers rave about the Indo-chinese
Having heard my co-workers rave about the Indo-chinese street food they had back in India, I became determined to try out this historical fusion cuisine that originated from centuries of cultural exchange. Thus, on Sunday noon, a friend and I both arrived at Spice Symphony. The establishment was half-full (perhaps from the rain), so we received seating immediately. My friend and I decided on the following to share (all from the Indian Chinese section of the menu).- Paneer Chili Dry | $10- Chicken Manchurian| $18- Chili Chicken | $18The first to arrive, the Paneer Chili Dry appetizer, consisted of, as the menu described, "strips of cottage cheese tossed with spicy chili, onion, green pepper, and soy". This tasted quite similar to spicy stir-fried tofu, which is in hindsight unsurprising. The onion's aromatic flavors seemed much more pronounced than in Chinese stir-fry. The spiciness seemed relatively subdued, but that did not detract. Both entree items arrived about 15 minutes after the appetizer. The Chili Chicken, accompanied with "green peppers, vidalia onions, soy, and fiery red chillies", had a similar flavor profile as the Paneer Chili Dry, with 2 notable exceptions. One is the chicken (duh), which tasted tender and juicy. The second is the decent amount of heat the chilies possessed, which would require a decent heat tolerance (for the average American). The second entree, the Chicken Manchurian, arrived in a "spicy tangy onion and soy based sauce". The menu description belied additional nuance in the sauce, notably tamarind. This made for a dish that looked ostensibly like soy sauce braised chicken, a ubiquitous dish in China. This one, however, had a much brighter set of flavors, especially with the extra-aromatic onions. If I had to choose between the soy sauce braising and pan sauce I grew up with and this, the Chicken Manchurian wins by a long shot.Overall, I enjoyed the opportunity to try a relatively unknown cuisine (at least in the states). The blend of familiar flavors, reimagined, managed to meld well and live up to the title of fusion cuisine, something that modern fusion cuisine struggles to accomplish.
Be the first to ReplyPossibly lowest quality Indian food I have had in New York
Possibly lowest quality Indian food I have had in New York City thus far. Appetizers were very mediocre - cutlets and fried aloo. Chinese bhel was coated in a weird red sauce and was pretty sticky to eat. The main issue was with the "mild" paneer makhni which was glowing red because of all the red chili. Everyone's hands turned red and everyone's eyes were full of tears. Not an enjoyable experience when trying to eat basic Indian food. Would not recommend unless your spice tolerance is extremely high.

this place is so GREAT! the food was so good and Afan is the best!!! they were so friendly and accommodating, and everything we ordered was delicious. the chili garlic naan & the chili chicken were my fav - but everything was a hit. 10/10 would come back!!

Not sure if we ordered the wrong things or came on an "off" day but I was disappointed by Spice Symphony. I really wanted to like it given Indo-Chinese is one of my favorite cuisines. While the servers were nice, the food was below average. Chili chicken - 6/10 decent, it makes for a good appetizer for 2-3 peopleVegetable manchurian - 2/10 sauce was very onion heavy and the onions tasted almost raw, the balls were very doughy and not cooked properlyPaneer makhani - 4/10 very sweet
Be the first to ReplyNYT made Chilli Chicken on its Top 25 NYC dishes.
I had it delivered, and was underwhelmed.
Be the first to ReplyIt really did satisfy my indo-Chinese craving.
Staff was very welcoming and they did offer complimentary dish in the beginning and complimentary kulfi in the end. Absolutely Loved it.
Be the first to ReplySUCH GOOD FOOD! I was so happy with it.
I'm a huge fan of spicy food & they made it the right level & it's perfect for Hakka/indo-Chinese food lovers :) their Manchurian & Manchow soup hit the spot !!!

I went here over the holidays, and I was amazed at how flavorful the food was. Literally everything we had here looked and tasted delicious. The vegetarian options were incredible. Definitely 5/5 for food. The reason that I'm rating this a 4 out of 5 is because the service was not great. We scheduled a reservation in advance and despite that, we had to wait almost an hour past our reservation time before we were even seated. This was true for multiple diners at the restaurant as well. There wasn't even an employee at the front door to check us in or give us an estimate on how long before we would be seated. What was even more frustrating was that a couple that arrived after us skipped the line and were seated before all of us despite everyone in line also having a reservation. Overall, I'm upset with the restaurant management, but will add that the service significantly improved the moment we were seated.
