Spire 73 Los Angeles Reviews from The Last Year
Loved this.
Can here for my boyfriends birthday with a couple of friends and love the view the ambiance. Great date spot if you looking to have a drink or just enjoy the marshmallow.
Food was great ! Atmosphere was dead !! And way too cold .
Service was ok ! View is a plus
Good for ambiance and amazing view.
Good was good, but would be better if they had a larger menu.
This place has the potential to be amazing! The right
This place has the potential to be amazing! The right location and an amazing view. But service, food and drinks, just aren't that great. It took forever to place an order. It took forever to get food and drinks. And possibly just one check in while eating. I expect prices to be high. That should be a given. That, I don't mind. What I do mind is the food quality n flavor. Just bad. Over seasoned. By the time it reached us, it was warm. Not hot. Drinks were way too sweet. Not what I like in an Old Fashioned. I gave this place a 3 for the view. If it wasn't for that, it would be a 1. Very disappointed.
Tried the burger.
Very good and service was very good. The roof where I ate was very nice and clean. No complains.
Really beautiful place.
Words can't do it justice. So high feels like you definitely are close to heaven. Good food. Great appetizers. I recommend the fish tacos and chicken tacos. You can't go wrong with the drinks. Margaritas are the best. Made with love. Visits are best in large groups, I feel. Service is top quality. Personally, I feel it offers some of the most breathtaking views in the area. Truly will take your breath away. No pun intended.
The menu sucks no type of steak just overpriced Mexican
The menu sucks no type of steak just overpriced Mexican food I can have at a normal mexican food spot Service sucks for it being mandatory 18 percent tip Had to come if not they charge you 20$ per person if you don't show up for your reservation
Beautiful rooftop bar.
The music is good and amazing view. Service was average, nothing out of this word but kind staff. Tried a couple appetizers and were delicious.
I have such an amazing time at this place in the atmosphere
I have such an amazing time at this place in the atmosphere is beautiful I said at the bar each time that I went and the food and service was impeccable. I am looking forward to going back to this restaurant and having some nice drinks and delicious food. Did I say that the food was absolutely delicious lol.
First of, the parking is insane.
We weren't told we needed validation and ended up paying 40$. When we asked the guy If we could step out and get the ticket validated at the restaurant where we dined he said no. So we were forced to pay 40$ even though we ate at the restaurant. We also called to tell the server that we we're running 5 mins late for our reservation and when we got there the host said that apparently our reservation was canceled and didn't let us sit at the table we had picked out. She also had a nasty attitude. Overall would not recommend this place and the food is mid at best
Beautiful (and expensive)
This spot is incredibly beautiful, with fantastic views in all directions. There is a very large bar here with an overhang, but also ample seating open to the air. We were here after dinner for drinks, and were able to get a couch/table area. It was very comfortable; the area was beautiful, the vibe uplifting. But, as to be expected, the drink prices are insanely expensive. Be ready for that; but, also be ready to enjoy the views!
Beautiful view of downtown LA
I choose this place for the atmosphere, drinks, and view of LA skyline at night and believe me it did not disappoint! Views of DTLA were magnificent! The drinks were on the expensive side but definitely worth it.
Concerned
Over-rated/Over-priced. The experience was good; however, the price for that experience was borderline abuse and creed. My wife and I are comfortably in the 6 digits and live in Beverly Hills, but we recognize when we are being taken advantage of. Folks, so many businesses are screwing us for outsized profit margins. They expect us to use our gas to patronize their businesses, FORCE us to spend $80 per person when we get there. Most daring, abusive and disrespectful is that they also want us to subsidize THEIR payroll in the form of a “gratuity” so that they can pocket even more profits. This FORCED abuse comes in form of an automatic 18% “gratuity”. People please wake up. Society has given us all sorts of reasons to normalize and expect tipping, but tipping only perpetuates a culture that robs the worker of a living wage. The tip should be extra and voluntary. Workers would make more under this scenario. Continuing to tip actually hurts the worker. If we continue to help the owner pay that living wage, will he ever be incentivized to raise his compensation to the worker? These TACTICS of giving us reasons why we should help the owner with his payroll is plain old simple dressed up GREED. And be careful, restaurants are beginning to condition us to pay for worker’s healthcare. Another area of owner responsibility that is being passed to the very people who keep the owner’s lights on. The conditioning will slowly make the customer feel responsible for the healthcare of someone you didn’t hire. Look at your receipts carefully. The consumer should go on “strike” and refuse to tip until these wages go up and make tipping truly voluntary. Yes, the pain would be felt temporarily, but look at all the people you would have helped after the owner is forced into some human decency. “No pain, No gain. By the way, my going away gift was another $33 for parking. As consumers, we should demand more.
Amazing View
The views from Spire 73 were breathtaking. We stayed two nights in the Intercontinental DTLA IHG hotel on the 50th floor. Upon arrival into our room we made reservations at Spire 73. The night of our reservation we took the glass elevator from the 70th floor lobby to the 73rd floor. We were seated right away at our table. It was 60 degrees Fahrenheit that evening and the wind was blowing. We were quite chilled. Make sure to dress warm. I selected the ribeye steak and carrots. The steak was cooked perfectly and was tasty. The carrots were roasted and delicious.
