Steak 48 Charlotte Reviews
Bone in Ribeye (5/5): Delicious ribeye.
Perfectly seared and full of flavor. Top tier steak. Ultimate Warm Vanilla Caramel Cake (5/5): Maybe the best cake I've ever had. I'm not typically a big fan of cake, but the texture of this cake (particularly the edges) was almost more like a cookie. The gelato on top paired perfectly with the cake, and the pecans added a nice crunch. Glad I went with this but honestly all the desserts looked amazing. Corn Creme Brulee (5/5): Almost like a dessert side. The crunchy caramelized sugar added some great texture to the very sweet creamed corn. Braised Pork Belly (5/5): Loved the sweet Thai chili sauce. The pork belly itself had a good ratio of fat to meat. Petite Filet Mignon (4/5): Not as tender as some other filets I've had, but still very good. Well seasoned and seared. Roasted Brussel Sprouts (4/5): I liked the big chunks of bacon, but the flavor was a little lacking. The bacon flavor was surprisingly muted and it was pretty one dimensional. I also prefer when the sprouts are crispy and these weren't at all. RATING SYSTEM 5 - Great (Need to get this again) 4 - Good (Would get this again) 3 - Ok (Might give this another shot) 2 - Not Good (Won't get this again) 1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)
Service can be better
First time here. They have 4-5 other locations around the country. Place is new, modern, and well divided up into small sections. The place is large. It was packed (every table) on a Thursday night at 6pm. They have some AMZING booth options (4 of them) in the far back that are like little cubes. Highly recommended for a business meeting (so you can talk) or a date. Great menu with lots of options including seafood and non steak items. Salads were excellent. Steaks were great. Sides were good. Service was the let down. Our server was completely distracted by a VIP table next to us and forgot several items and we could not hold her attention. We would give it another try for sure.

We come here for every anniversary, birthday, or special occasion and it's always so delicious. The atmosphere, staff, and food, is wonderful. It is worth the price point, we would rather spend a little more to know we are getting exceptional quality than go elsewhere to save a few dollars and get subpar food. Highly recommend!!

I'm always excited to try out a high-end steakhouse and this place did NOT disappoint. It's a very spacious location with all the elegant decor you would expect from an upscale establishment. We were there celebrating our friends bday and the staff was so warm and welcoming and even brought out a signed bday card. Their dinner menu features a variety of options with appetizers like lobster rolls, crispy shrimp deviled eggs, waygu beef tartare, a variety of salad options, a seafood raw bar, and of course a plethora of steak cuts that you can pair with various options such as crab cakes or their black truffle sautรฉed Maine lobster. I got to try out the calamari, crab & shrimp mac, and the bone-in filet w/ scallops. We did wait quite awhile for all the food but it was completely worth it. The calamari was solid fried well, the filet with the scallops was excellent I asked for medium-well and it was prepared perfectly and the scallops were also delicious, and the crab & shrimp Mac and cheese, between the large portions of seafood and the flavor of the cheese itself, absolutely divine! All in all an excellent dining experience and I highly recommend checking them out.
Wow! Ok so dinner was expensive like people have stated
Wow! Ok so dinner was expensive like people have stated previously however it could have been cheaper if we hadn't ordered 3 appetizers and a drink haha but it was our first time here and we wanted to try everything! Apps: Waygu Meatballs - fantastic! These were so melt in your mouth yummy with flavor in every single bite! It was served with a marinara sauce but it wasn't needed unless you just wanted a little different flavor added Hamachi - I'm not even sure if I chewed these they were so good. It was served in a ponzu sauce and was chilled to perfection Shrimp cocktail & oysters - you can customize your own seafood tower and we just chose the shrimp which were HUGE and raw oysters. They came with their own sauces (my favorite! I love sauces) butter, cucumber, garlic, horseradish, and of course shrimp cocktail - I tried them all and mixed them all bc they were all great in their own way Wedge salad was your typical salad but we do enjoy a good wedge. It came with a red wine/mustard dressing which really just taste like blue cheese to me but wasn't overpowering Entrees: Filet - Cooked perfectly medium rare which is what I requested, it came out on a hot plate so definitely touch your tongue to that ha It was seasoned so perfectly I didn't even need the side sauce I ordered. It was tender and cut easily. Pork chop - thick and also cooked perfectly seasoned very well so well that I was not offered a piece to taste Corn brรปlรฉe - this was cream corn with a crusted sugar layer on top, the sugar layer isn't super sweet so it worked well together Dessert: Warm Vanilla Carmel Cake - didn't stand a chance! It was accompanied by walnuts, icecream, and a mountain of whip cream which we devoured without breathing The service was impeccable and the music was such a good mashup, I cannot wait to go back!

This is THE place to go for date night! The vibe is electric, the staff is amazing, the food... AMAZING!!! I had the bone in filet and the cauliflower!!! Highly recommend!!! Drinks are amazing as well!! Will definitely be back soon!!
One of my favorite steakhouses in Charlotte.
The atmosphere and customer service are always top-notch. The steak is consistently cooked to perfection, and the drinks are thoughtfully curated. We've never had a single complaint when dining here.

An Unforgettable Culinary Journey: Steak 48 Is a Masterclass in the Steakhouse Experience! From the moment I walked through the doors of Steak 48 in Charlotte, I knew I was in for something special. Even with high expectations, I was completely blown away. The space itself is stunning, upscale, modern, and buzzing with just the right kind of energy. You know you're walking into a high-end, big-city steakhouse where every detail matters. I sat at a high-top table in the bar and had the pleasure of being served by Hamira, who was knowledgeable, attentive, and an absolute pro. This wasn't just dinner, it was a foodie adventure, curated and guided by one of the best servers I've ever had. She didn't just take my order. She crafted a journey, from cocktails to appetizers, to the main course, wine pairing, and dessert. She asked the right questions, listened, and tailored the experience to exactly what I was looking for: bold flavors, high-end execution, and the chance to try something new. The Prelude I started with the Orange & Rye Old Fashioned. Bold, smooth, slightly sweet, and perfectly balanced. The citrus cut beautifully through the richness of my appetizer. Complimentary Bread Service Before anything else, they brought out a bread service that was worthy of its own spotlight. Perfectly warm, crispy on the outside, soft and steaming inside. One half brushed with garlic butter, the other with Parmesan butter. I intentionally saved pieces throughout the meal to dip into the truffle bacon glaze during the appetizer and into the steak juices during the main course. It was that good. Appetizer: Hanging Bacon with Truffle Honey & Togarashi The presentation? Stunning. The flavor? Out of this world. The bacon was thick-cut, smoky, and literally melted in my mouth. The drizzle of truffle honey brought that earthy-sweet richness, while the togarashi (a Japanese spice blend with chili, sesame, orange peel, and nori) added just the right kick of warmth and complexity. It was umami, sweet, spicy, and savory perfection. Hamira's cocktail pairing elevated it even more. The Main Event: 45 Day Dry-Aged 22oz Bone-In Ribeye This was my first dry-aged steak. Hamira explained the difference between wet-aged and dry-aged (the moisture loss, the flavor concentration, the earthy, nutty undertones) and every word rang true as I took my first bite. Cooked to a perfect medium rare, the steak was incredibly juicy yet deeply flavorful, with a complex, beefy richness that lingered long after each bite. The crust was absolute perfection. This wasn't just a steak, it was a revelation. Hands down, the best steak I've ever had. The Wine Paired with a medium bodied Cabernet Sauvignon, which had just the right structure and acidity to complement the intensity of the dry-aged beef without overpowering it. Absolutely perfect. The Finale: Triple Chocolate Bombe Rich, elegant, and decadent with a flowing mousse center, a crisp chocolate shell, and a picture-perfect presentation. The ideal way to close out a meal like this. What truly made this experience unforgettable wasn't just the food (though it was phenomenal). It was the thoughtful storytelling and guidance by Hamira. She turned this from a great meal into a culinary experience. I didn't feel like I was just dining. I felt like I was part of something carefully crafted and personal. If you're looking for a special night out, whether solo, with a partner, or to celebrate something meaningful, go to Steak 48. Don't just order. Trust the process. Let your server lead. Savor every course. You'll leave with more than just a full stomach, you'll leave with a food memory that stays with you. Bravo to the team and especially to Hamira. I'll be talking about this one for a long time.
Great shrimp cocktail.
Drinks were amazing. Had the Monkey 47 with tonic and lime. My wife had grey goose dirty with olives and a lemon twist. KC strip with the wedge salad was absolutely incredible. Both a must. Best steakhouse I've ever been to. Have been 3 times. Fantastic. Service was outstanding and very friendly

High End Steak House
Sunday night dinner and I decided we needed to fulfill our need for an upscale steak dinner. Steak 48 did not disappoint. We arrived and parked in the deck at the location and did not use the valet parking offered at the restaurant. I didn't make a reservation, we went up to the greeter stand and were nicely welcomed. I asked if a table for two was available and the hostess replied no problem but it would need to be a high top. I replied no problem and we were seated in the area near one of the bars on a high top table. The chairs were a bit uncomfortable as they seemed to sit low to the table. We were immediately greeted by a server's assistant named William who inquired if we wanted water, we replied yes and he poured as requested tap water. We were then greeted by a server named Elana who brought menus and inquired if we wanted to order beverages. She brought over wine list and beverage list. After looking at the list I ordered a Hop Drop and Roll IPA ($9.00) and my wife ordered the Boen Pinot Noir ($17). After serving drinks bread service was brought to the table. Bread service was so very good - served hot really makes a good for a good presentation. We ordered our dinners. I ordered NY Strip Steak medium (12oz) ($62) and a side of creamed spinach ($17) along with a BLT Wedge Salad ($18). My wife ordered the Scallops entree ($59) Food was served in excellent timing, my steak was cooked perfectly. My wife loved here scallops. The creamed spinach had lost it's fresh green color but tasted ok. I asked for bearnaise sauce which was brought and tasted fine but could have been more distinctive in tarragon flavor. Elana was excellent as our server, very hospitable and friendly. She was professional, attentive and did a good job to suggestive sell. She gave me her personal business card for future use. We broke down and ordered a warm vanilla caramel cake which was so yummy with a large amount of whipped cream garnish. While a pricey dinner the steak was exceptional, the scallops very good. Service was incredible. As we departed we noted the restaurant was very busy with many diners eating at the bar. The next day I received a phone call thanking us for dining at the restaurant and thanking us for dining. A nice touch. For a real special excellent dining experience - we recommend Steak 48. Ask for Elana to serve you. A recent review of Charlotte Health Department scores showed this restaurant scored a nice 97 showing that they are doing a good following food safety standards.
Birthday trip
Enjoyed for my birthday! The food was fantastic staff were welcoming! Food came out fresh ! They accommodated all my needs !
Modern take on the usual steakhouse fare
Excellent food, great experience. Modern takes on the usual steakhouse fare, eg creamed corn brulรฉ. Our waiter Courtney was exceptional; service was top notch. Nice celebratory dinner.
Outstanding dining experience
The bone in ribeye was perfectly cooked and very flavorful. I didnโt need to salt or season it. Service at the bar was spot on, friendly and professional. Just a wonderful dining experience from start to finish
Outstanding experience
This was a wonderful experience from the moment we stepped in - had a drink at the bar and throughout our dinner service. Huge shout out to Charles and Jarrod our servers who created a wonderful time for us! The fish special was outstanding. (I know we ordered fish in a steak house!) sautรฉed corn the best Iโve tasted and my favorite beet salad with pistachios! Dessert was scrumptious- Charles recommendation. I highly recommend making reservations and enjoying a wonderful evening.
Superlative dining experience
Celebrated my birthday here last night with my two daughters. The restaurant embodies the ambiance, service and quality cuisines - all 10/10. Arrived on time and was seated within seconds. Andrea, the host and every waiter were knowledgeable of the menu and made excellent suggestions. The steaks were flavorful and prepared and cooked perfectly. The Chilean sea bass and sizes of truffle fries, sautรฉed spinach and mac n' cheese were both excellent! The food and quality of service has made this one of our favorite!
Steak 48 is THE best restaurant Iโve ever been to.
Steak 48 was amazing. You will need to make a reservation because it is a very popular restaurant. Once you have your reservation, be prepared to indulge in the epitome of fine dining. The atmosphere is unmatched by anything or anywhere. There is warm lighting and music in the background which is at the perfect volume. They have an extensive beverage menu of cocktails, mocktails, and everything in between. They have a wide array of classic cocktails like old fashionedโs and more modern cocktails that are more bold and fruity. Now for the appetizers, they have a great selection of appetizers and each of which were had were amazing. We had the deviled eggs, which were good. But the star of the show was the braised pork belly. It was soft and tender at the same time, and came with a hot honey glaze. Next, the entrees. Everyone at the table chose to get steaks. The steaks are all served on a 500 degrees plate and are cooked perfectly. The filet was the best of the normal steaks in my opinion. But the best of all was the butchers cut. It was a special and it was a juicy and tender cut of American wagyu. Now for the sides, the mushrooms were delicious, and the corn crรจme brรปlรฉe was the best of all. They also give a great selection of desserts. The first dessert we had was the warm vanilla Caramel cake. It was a delicious cake served with brown sugar pecans and vanilla ice cream. The next dessert we had was the triple layer key lime pie. It was a unique and tasty take on a traditional key lime pie. It was delicious and tart. It was topped with whipped cream and key lime caviar. Key lime caviar is one of their specialties. They are little balks that taste like key limes and are in the shape of caviar. Next, they brought out fresh baked cookies. The cookies were warm and gooey. Overall this was the best steakhouse, and maybe even the best restaurant Iโve ever been to.
Amazing
Rhe food was amazing the bone in ribeye was top notch the menu was great with great selection it is very pricey but worth ever penny and it we'd beautiful inside with the servers just amazing as well
One Of The Best Experiences
I want to take a moment to commend the outstanding service we received at Steak 48 on October 8th while dining with a group of eight. I have never been so impressed with a restaurant. While the food at Steak 48 is undeniably delicious, it was the level of service that truly captivated me. From the moment we entered, we were greeted with warm hospitality by the host staff and welcomed by a line of attentive servers as we made our way to our table. It felt as though the table service team appeared out of nowhere, ready to anticipate our needs before we even realized them. Our lead serverโwhose name I regretfully canโt recallโwas from Greece and treated us like old friends. He even pulled out reading glasses for those of us who needed them to read the menu! His excellent food and beverage suggestions enhanced our meal, and it felt like he was having as much fun as we were. Iโm especially grateful to him for ensuring I could enjoy dessert before I rushed to the airport. As for the food, I sampled the burrata, a petite filet, those incredible rolls, wine, an espresso martini (the best Iโve ever had!), peanut butter pie, bread pudding, and an addictively delicious corn side dish. I savored every bite! I might be in a food coma for a few days, but this entire experience was absolutely worth it. Thank you for a memorable evening!
Ask for Charles from Chicago .
. amazing experience and the food was great .. the waiter was so cool and made suggestions that created an atmosphere of excitement and fun.

This is the best steak house I have ever been to! The steak melted in my mouth it was so tender. The seafood was well seasoned and the sides (especially the crรจme brรปlรฉe corn and praline sweet potatoes) were delectable. You MUST request Charles as your server when you go because he is THE ABSOLUTE BEST. The restaurant is beautiful, nice and dimly lit, perfect for any type of celebration. I will definitely be back whenever I'm in Charlotte.

The food and service here were excellent! The steaks were all so tender! The Crรจme Brรปlรฉe Corn...... OMG! To DIE for! You must order it if you like corn. Our server Elana was amazing and so nice and attentive. The food was so good we literally went back the next day! That's how good it was and just so happened Elana was our server again! Awesome!

Previously provided a less than favorable review due to miscommunication but the general manager quickly addressed my concern and made it right, which I am appreciative. Overall, the quality of food cannot be denied. My partner and I used to bounce back and forth between this and another popular upscale steakhouse in the area but eventually made this restaurant our monthly and special occasion go to spot. When we go, we always order 3 courses for the full experience and recommend others do the same.

I had a reservation set for my wife and I at 9:30, I arrived late but Nikole was sure to take great care of us at the host stand. The restaurant was quiet and the ambience was nice, we wanted to sit In the kitchen booths and they made it happen! They made it very special for us by putting rose petals on the table. Our server was Yolanda, she was a gem! She made some of the best recommendations so I'll definitely be asking for her every time that I dine in with them. The host, the server and the server assistant checked on us through out the meal so it made our time there well worth it. The things we had and ratings Elixir 48 - 10/10 Strawberry Rhubarb 10/10 Crispy Shrimp Deviled Eggs 9/10 Ribeye 22 oz 9/10 Potatoes au gratin 8/10 Shells and cheese 8/10 Corn creme brulee 8/10 Salmon (braised) 10/10 Beignets 10/10 Thank you Yolanda and Nikole for making this a very special night ! Can't wait to come back.
The service was great and the foodmusic.
The server always checked in with you to make sure you were ok and kept you updated on your food. Also packed your leftovers for you
The best
This is the best place for Steak in Charlotte. Be prepared to spend a lot but it's worth it. You can also not spend unnecessary - like don't order the $36 baked potato - not worth it. The seafood tower is great but will set you back $150. Try to read the menu before you start the cocktails id you want to have a great experience and not feel like you over spent.
Have to give a special 5 stars to our server Amanda.
My fiancรฉe and I came here to celebrate one week until our wedding. We shared this with Amanda and she not only provided excellent service, she went above and beyond with champagne, dessert and a gift which was so incredible. We always have a wonderful experience at Steak 48 but tonight was the most special dining experience we've ever had, thank you Amanda

This restaurant never seems to disappoint me from the amazing customer service to the delicious food. I am always flattered when I arrive and love spending special occasions here.
Love this place.
The staff is so friendly & the food is so so good. The bread is amazing. We got meatballs and burrata for apps - you have to get the meatballs. So yummy! For mains we got petite filet with a side of mac and cheese. The steak was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The mac and cheese was delicious as well. The chocolate cake was good, but kind of dry.
Food was good, services was great.
Place was too loud to have a conversation, also noticed they don't hold customers to business attire. Would not recommend this place if you are trying to have a conversation with a client.
Well this place just has service down to a science.
Our bartender Karen was also our server and estimated the staff is probably around a total of 200. Karen was perfect in every way and genuinely cared about her guests. We ordered the bone-in ribeye with seafood mac n cheese as a side. Also had a lovely beet salad, and burrata to start. The burrata was fresh and served with delicious tomato jam and pickled onions, but sadly didn't produce any milk upon being cut into. The staff was obviously happy which always makes me feel good about a place. Literally every person you walk by welcomes you on the way in and wishes you good evening on the way out. Ambiance was charming. Cons: 1. plates are so hot they continued cooking my medium rare steak the whole dinner to a mid well. I would request not to have that next time. 2. Pound for pound we both felt Del Fresco's is better from the ribeye to the dessert, but we loved the atmosphere here.
Great service and great food, it is on the pricey side but
Great service and great food, it is on the pricey side but 100% worth it. Perfect for a date night or celebration!
May have been the best meal of my life.
Incredible steak, amazing sides and the staff was attentive and super nice. Would recommend a thousand times over.
Service is top tier.
Ordered bone in ribeye. It was cooked to perfection-medium. Brussel sprouts and macaroni and cheese were delectable sides. Finished off with the gooey yellow cake... breath taking!!
Where do I begin?! We came here for my wife's birthday.
When I made the reservation, I set the occasion as a birthday celebration. Someone called me 2-3 days before the date we were set to arrive to confirm we were coming and to ask whose birthday it was so they could make a card. I thought wow, that's so attentive. From the time we arrived, the hostesses, servers, waiters, and the MANAGER came over to wish my wife a happy birthday! I was so impressed! They definitely spelled her name wrong in the card, but the thought was there. Charles was our waiter and he did not disappoint. He gave great suggestions and was very attentive. The restaurant is beautifully situated with seemingly different rooms to dine in. Dark heavy wood and beautiful bars. It's very sexy. The food! Oh my god. In full transparency this is the most expensive meal we've ever eaten but when every single morsel you ordered is top tier--you just can't complain. We had the shrimp appetizer and a half dozen oysters to start. Our 11 year old had the lobster rolls and fries as her meal. She was very happy. My wife had the NY Strip, it was cooked perfectly. I had the 22 oz rib eye. THE DAMN RIB EYE!!! Best steak I've ever had, it was season, and cooked perfectly to medium. The sides were to die for. We had the creamed spinach, whipped praline sweet potatoes and the Brussel sprouts. Excuse me while I lick my whole face! The kid had the small beignets and my wife got the vanilla cake for her birthday. TOP TIER! By the time we were finished all we could do is just look at each other and smile. As I said this was the most expensive meal we've ever eaten so we won't be back every weekend, but we will definitely be back.
I havent been to a formal steakhouse in a very long time,
I havent been to a formal steakhouse in a very long time, so Im glad I made it a point to recommence that experience with Steak 48. True steakhouse vibe, impecable service and attention to detail. I coordinate corporate dinners often so it was good to know about private rooms and their ability to leverage sliding walls. The wedge salad was simply underrated; The bread is dangerously good and wine selections are nice. Wish there were more adventurous by the glass options or a fun flight. *Tip* they have valet but also a large parking deck in the same building. Right across from the Southpark mall.
Food was very good.
Steak was cooked to perfection. Didn't need a knife. Service was a little slower than expected. So wasn't sure, if it was a staffing situation or what, didn't appear to be so.
We drove 7 hours to be discriminated against.
We were planning on having dinneer here tonight, however, we were turned away. We are a biracial couple and that's the only thing I can think of as to why we were turned away. We just arrived after 7 hours so of course we had comfortable clothes on but they were clean and professional appearing. Staff needs educated on the importance of what is appropriate behavior. Definitely will not return. So disappointing.
Definitely worth the hype.
I've tried ma steakhouses in Charlotte and avoided Steak 48 because of the prices. The prices here are worth it. The quality of the steaks is superior. The quality and quantity of the sides is superior. The service is superior. Don't waste your money on places like Dresslers or Del Friscos. This place is the real deal. I will definitely be back (for special occasions). If you want a melt in your mouth aged steak that is cooked perfectly, go here. And for only slightly higher cost than the competition that is selling frozen steaks from Sysco. Real butchers, steaks aged in house. Only negative to me is how popular it is! The restaurant was packed! But deservedly so.
I am the first person to snub a chain restaurant.
We have 9 million "steakhouses" in Southpark. A couple are pretty impressive. However, none compare to Steak 48. We go early to avoid the crowds and sit at the bar or a bar table. The skillet rolls are sick! Gooey, hot, and delish! The caesar salad with a poached egg is pretty special. The steaks are perfectly cooked to order (and I specifically ask for Pittsburgh, which is difficult to get right). Calamari is wonderful. Really, you can't go wrong here. The service is exquisite with a HUGE shout out to the bartenders! The Manager, Dan Cepeda, is wonderful. He remembers our names and always takes the time to come over to welcome us. It's expensive for sure. However, it is worth every single penny!
The best ever!!!
This restaurant is amazing. It was my first time and now this is my favorite restaurant that I've ever been to in terms of the food and the service. The service was the best ever thanks to Diego Brito!!!
Andreas is the best waiter and the food is delicious!
This was our first time visiting Steak 48. The steaks, lamp chops and salads were amazing. Each entree has a very thoughtful fantastic twist to it. You can tell they put an love in each dish. The only thing that can top the food was our waiter, Andreas. So informative with each dish on the menu, he also is an expert on the wine/cocktail selection. He was also fun to talk to! We will return and ask for Andreas again!
Steak 48 fantastic
Best all around restaurant in Charlotte, bar none. Pricey? Yes. But well-worth it. Service from Jeff was outstanding. They treated us like queens and kings for our anniversary and treated us in other ways. Can'y say enough good things.
Elegant Dining
4 couples have an annual White Dinner Jacket dress up event at a new white-table cloth restaurant. Steak48 was our pick and we were not disappointed. Our head waitperson was very attentive and knowledgeable and navigated through a series of split orders and custom preparation instructions. When the food arrived, servers placed dishes at the proper location without the usual โWho had theโฆ?โ First courses included salads and oysters โ all properly prepared. Many had the petite filet which was hardly โpetiteโ, rather a generous portion. Scallops were probably U8โs โ properly seared. The surprise dish was the 12 oz. strip steak โ as marbled as a ribeye and very tender โ this is a โbest buyโ menu item. Shared sides included corn, mushroom, baked potatoes โ more than enough. Finally, a shout out to the parking valet attendant. A major downpour started and was not letting up. Not only did the attendant bring the cars around, but he escorted everyone to the car under a large golf umbrella. He was soaked and we stayed dry. Bottom line: from entering to exiting the restaurant the staff and the food were topflight.
Not Worth It!
Hopefully tonight was 2 trips in one, my first and last. The bread was the best thing about the meal. Maybe I just happened to get a poor cut of meat and they forgot to season it, but Iโve had better steaks at Outback. I donโt want to judge those that have commented, โbest steak everโ or seem snooty, but clearly there is a disconnect. Either they havenโt been to a good steakhouse or I just had a one off poor experience. I had the corn and Au Gratin potatoes, the corn seemed to be canned corn with lots of sweetener to obscure the taste and texture of the corn. The potatoes were dry. My entire perception of the experience might be better if my server hadnโt left me sitting for an extremely long time before she took my order. I was eating solo and it took 2 hours, once I ordered my food arrived quickly. The best thing other than the bread was the wedge salad dressing. Itโs very unique and had an excellent flavor. I would go back for the salad, but itโs one of the smallest wedge salads Iโve ever had.
Anniversary
We went for our anniversary. We both got the filet and agreed it was the best weโve ever had. The side dishes, sautรฉed spinach and crรจme brรปlรฉe corn was also phenomenal. We chose the key lime pie and the caramel cake for dessert. Both to die for. Our server, Sabrina, could not have been any better. She was knowledgeable, attentive and sweet. Steak 48 will definitely move to the top of our list for best steak restaurant.
Must have meal
The perfect anniversary dinner was prepared by chef Heather. My food was flavorful and cooked to perfection. My server Blake was great and made wonderful menu recommendations
Steak 48 - Good Food! Good Experience!
We enjoyed our recent visit to Steak 48 in Charlotte. Made our reservation on Open Table about a week ahead of time. I had been wanting to try this high end steak house for a long time but it seemed I never could find an open reservation on line. We arrived promptly on our time and were greeted by one of the hostesses at the entrance to the dining rooms. She told us they would be with us shortly. Another nice young woman greeted us and escorted us to a nice table in one of the many dining rooms. She told us our server Michaela would be over shortly. Michaela arrived at the table and introduced herself. She left menus and offered water. She told us that the water was filtered but she also had bottled and carbonated options. We opted for the standard water. She left the dinner menu which has a wine list on the reverse side, an extensive drink menu and an amazing reserve wine list. I ordered a bottle of Duckhorn's Decoy Pinot Noir ($69) After wine service she took our order. I ordered the smaller cut 12oz NY Strip ($56) and my wife ordered the Sea Scallops ($54). I ordered a wedge salad ($17) and we ordered saute broccoli ($15) and the corn brulee ($16). I had heard a lot about this side corn brulee I needed to try it. A delicious warm rolls were served to us. We enjoyed. We split the Wedge Salad which was perfect for the two of us. The salads were served with a chilled fork and chilled knife. Nice touch. We had a blip with the entree when I was served a filet mignon. I immediately said I ordered the NY Strip when Michaela came over and said no problem. She took the filet and my wife's entree back to the kitchen and said would have the strip steak for me shortly. Food was brought back in a short time. We even had a manager come over to apologize for the error. Food quality was outstanding. The strip steak was cooked to perfection, my wife loved her scallops. We enjoyed the sides of broccoli and cream corn brulee. Michaela did well to check on satisfaction as did the manager who came back to the table while we were eating. After completion of our entree we told the bus person John that we needed to box up what we couldn't finish. He did so and Michaela came by and inquired if we wanted dessert. We had to pass - however she said that due to the mistake in my entree that the restaurant would be happy to buy us a dessert. We decided to take it home with us for later consumption. All in all this was an excellent dinner, food quality was outstanding. The restaurant did a great job recovering from the small issue and didn't miss a beat. The prices are expensive but the food quality and presentation provide an excellent overall price/value. We recommend this experience and look forward to returning on a future date night. I did note they scored a 97 on their most recent health inspection showing they are doing a good job following food sanitation standards.
EXCELLENT!!!
All I can say is superb!!! It was hands down the best restaurant I have ever been to and I have been too many awesome restaurants. I will definitely make this my go to anytime I travel here. Absolutely Amazing!!!

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Steak 48 Charlotte at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Steak 48 Charlotte page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* EternalAnt36, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* EternalAnt36 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to EternalAnt36 for any questions Peter may have as EternalAnt36 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* EternalAnt36 now uses their connections at Steak 48 Charlotte to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If EternalAnt36 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, EternalAnt36 receives the $200 reward which is credited to EternalAnt36's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Steak 48 Charlotte!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
