Excellent pizza
Looking for a light evening meal. The pizza was delicious, not your traditional American pizza. Very thin crust, little tomato sauce, and not swimming in cheese. The choice of red wine was excellent. If we lived here, it would be a habit.

The margherita pizza they replaced it with was good, but the "Amatriciana" pizza was disgusting and tasted as if some component thereof had expired. When I sent it back, the only time I can remember sending food back at a restaurant, another worker came over to ask me in interrogative fashion what was wrong with it. The restaurant rightly took it off the bill, but I hope no one after me got sick as they did not appear to take it seriously. Another thing they didn't do? Apologize.
Be the first to ReplyTo go or delivery be ware! The pizza is not cut!!
We ordered uber eats on Saturday night after a long day of seeing the cherry blossoms. We were really hungry and they were offering a buy 1 get 1 so I was like what the heck. When the 3 pizzas arrived at our hotel the pizza was not cut! we were staying at the Selina. They did not have any silverware and no cutlery was sent with the delivery driver. we tried to tear the pizza to eat it, but all the toppings just fell off. We were pissed, gave up and went to bed. I had to fight with uber eats for 2 days to finally get a refund. This is just a warning to people who order to a hotel. ask for a knife or for it to be cut! It might be ok in the restaurant.

Really good, real Italian pizza. And the brunch waffles looked wonderful. This is a lively, bright place to meet and eat. All the pizzas were made to order and had perfect crusts with fresh ingredients. Service was very good.

I walked by this place multiple times and decided to try it when I saw it was Michelin. My expectations were low because it was pizza but it was really good.
Be the first to ReplyWelcoming Atmosphere
Last weekend I was in D.C. for a wedding and was looking around for a place with meatless options when I stumbled upon this place less than a block from my hotel. A woman greeted me as I walked by and asked if I'd like to see a menu. She was friendly and inviting and really set such a great tone for an enjoyable visit. I ordered the 'Cacio & Pepe' pizza and it came fresh from the oven and was quite good. It is Italian style pizza, so red sauce did not come on it, but my initial waitress had alerted to me to that already so I was prepared and happy with what I got. The taste was great, and I really only waited a handful of minutes from the time my order was entered. The thing I most appreciated was the service I received while there. From the initial warm greeting to the three other staff members who checked on me during my 20 minutes eating and kept me glass filled with water (it was a 90+ degree afternoon in Washington D.C., important to stay hydrated), I felt well cared for. The only real knock I had was the portion size. The pizza was smallish and for $17 before tip I would've liked to have left full.

Great pizza. Excellent staff. Speedy service. Good location near Union Market. Everyone in my party felt the same and will come again next time we're in the area.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food strange service
The food is really delicious here-- the pizza is excellent. They have done a way with servers so you have to order by QR code, - food first, drinks second, and pay as well on your own. runners bring food to you. I was surprised, then, of course, that they put a 20% service fee on the total - when there was really no service - except for runners coming about 20 feet from the kitchen to plop food on the table.
Be the first to ReplyTerrible Quality
Just visited it once and would never visit again. Ordered a pizza there, the worst I ever tasted. Decor and vibes in restaurant are good, but the product is extremely terrible and pricey. Just like a big budget Hollywood movie with a poor storyline. I would not recommend it at all.
Be the first to Replywet and undercooked made w bare hands
This eatery is in a great people/watching location, great vibe. Pleasant atmosphere. The woman who waited on me was so kind and offered me ice cold water on a warm day. The pizza was ready so fast. But when I took it back to our picnic table a block up the street, the mozzarella seemed stiff not melted and the pizza fell apart in the middle. Toppings slid off in a pink drippy mess. $20 pizza went in the trash. It was so unappetizing. It looked undercooked in the middle. I was surprised that the person who had made the pizza was using his bare hands in COVID, but I tried to overlook it. In hindsight, I'm glad we didn't eat it.
Be the first to ReplyBest pizza in DC
Stellina is hands down the best high-quality pizza in DC, largely because of the incredible crust. They also offer nice sides and pasta, but it's hard to eat at Stellina and not indulge in their pizza! Top recommendations would be the Amatriciana, Corrazierre, Basilico alla Genovese, and Cacio & Pepe. As a bonus, they are always speedy and reliable for takeout.

Shirlington location? We stopped by with our son who said the pizza had rave reviews and it didn’t disappoint. Excellent quality and great service. We had two different pizzas- one with prosciutto and another that Was a cacio e Pepe they disappeared quickly. This place was in a great location near shops and a theater. I also tried the Italian soda. The food was very a authentic and absolutely delicious! I would definitely recommend it!
Be the first to ReplyComfortable outdoor dining experience
We had a group of four seated outside. The distancing between tables was appropriate and the server took our temperatures and asked for a contact number for public health tracing efforts. Everyone wore masks except when eating and drinking. The staff was exceptionally friendly and service was excellent! The pizza and beer were great. If you're in need of a night out you can truly enjoy yourself in this atmosphere. This is post-COVID hospitality done Very well!
Be the first to ReplyHoping one day to expand into a restaurant chain?
Despite its location in the funky Union Market neighborhood, this place the look, feel, menu, and sound of a place trying to be a chain restaurant you would find in a suburban shopping mall. The food is passable, but nothing exciting. Because you order at the cash register you need to tip up front.
Be the first to ReplyBest pizza in the DMV
Stellina has the best pizza in the DMV the crust is delicious it has the perfect car, the tomatoes are from Italy and groan on the slopes of mount Vesuvius in volcanic soil they taste delicious unlike doctored up American tomatoes. The cheese is melted perfectly the pizza taste delicious. You will not find a better quality pizza in the DMV.

I liked the looks of this new pizzeria from the outside and went in for an early dinner the next evening. I was offered to be served by the bartender at the bar or go pay with the cashier in advance and be seated at a table where my orders would be served. I opted for the latter. I later wondered if such an arrangement is practical for a smaller restaurant like this one.
The fried Calamari was tasty. I would order it again.
Excellent ambience.
Fun joint; great pizza
Hubs and I had family visiting from NH for Thanksgiving and we brought them over to REI & Union Market district to explore. We had time to kill before a pickup at DCA so we were looking for a lunch spot. Love the spots inside Union Market but needed something quieter. Stellina Pizzeria to the rescue! Not only was the pizza terrific, but service was very friendly and the decor inside was charming. We even learned about the famous Neopolitan comic Toto, whise image graces the back wall. I highly recommend the Piccante pizza - made with house-made spicy sausage. Yum!!
