I ordered delivery from this place and have to say it was solid. The pad see ew was a little bit wetter and the noodles were just more slippery than I'm used to, but overall the taste was good. I really did enjoy the Gang Hung Lay which if you didn't know, is a specialty dish specifically from Northern Thailand. In fact, this place has quite a decent amount of Northern Thai dishes to chose from so I believe the owners are originally from there. Definitely go with those options if you come here!

$70 for three entrées and two orders of crab Rangoon. The crab Rangoon wasn't tasty. My boyfriend ordered me the seafood pad Thai, the oysters were old, barley any peanuts, cheap noodles, salty. My boyfriend ordered pepper steak for himself he complained that the steak tasted like it was boiled. I was expecting to have a better tasting meal. Hopefully this restaurant will make some improvements.

I ordered chicken pad Thai last night and there was nothing in it. it was like a sprinkle of peanuts, 5 bean sprouts hardly any chicken and what was in there tasted old, no carrots or any other topping other than noodles in the sauce for $15. The noodles were less than a dollar food cost.. %150 mark up?? this is completely unacceptable.I know times are tough and food costs are high but to take it out on your customers is the wrong thing to do. Because of this I will never go back there again. And anyone who thinks this is acceptable is sadly mistaken. I wish I took a photo.

Our friends ordered food from Sticky Rice for a party and kind of enjoyed the medium spicy Thai food. Everything was tasty and truly authentic. I will certainly go back to try their banana leaf wrapped fish when in the area.

We frequently get take out from here, it's great! The dishes are always consistent and there are good portions. As far as the sticky rice itself, we haven't found a sticky rice mango better than it
Be the first to ReplyOrdered a green curry with shrimp tonight.
The color was pale, the 3 shrimp were ok but the texture was like water with watery flavor. Not a REAL Thai curry unfortunately.

Wow the selection is awesome! Because of the variety and range of Thai food here, there's something for everyone. Everything was portioned reasonably, although I thought the food was a tad overpriced. Overall would highly recommend this place and I would love to come back to try out some more off the menu.

I'm honestly not sure why I bother ordering from other Thai restaurants in the city at this point...Sticky Rice is always the best. I spent a year in Thailand 10 years ago, and Sticky Rice is the only restaurant (at least on the north side of Chicago) that has served me dishes that taste as good as what I had when I was there. Thank you, Sticky Rice, arroy mak mak!

Plenty of gluten free options here and it has the best Pad Thai I have had at any Thai restaurant in Chicago. Check out the green curry and read curries as well....excellent!

If you are looking for Thai food in Chicago, visit this place called Sticky Rice Restaurant. The place is nice and decorated with cool items. I ordered sticky rice with taro and sticky rice with mango. It is absolutely delicious. The best Thai dessert that I've tasted since I started eating here. Their pad Thai and pad curry noodles are very tasty. You can also try their Thai iced tea and coconut juice for refreshment. The employees are friendly and very accommodating. I will recommend this delicious food to my friends and family who like authentic food like me. I am a very satisfied customer. Thank you very much for such good service. Good job!
Be the first to ReplyI didn't ask for beansprouts.
Why did you add it to my pad kee mao? Your menu doesn't show beansprouts in the pad kee mao so why did you add it to mine? I hate beansprouts and would have asked to have it removed if it was included in the description. I ordered through Grubhub and can't easily get this fixed. I'm disappointed.

Food was delicious. Med heat level was just right. One of my favorite Thai dishes is Thai Basil Eggplant with Prawns and they did not disappoint! I would definitely reccomend.
Be the first to Replyhighly recommended by a thai coworker as one of the best
highly recommended by a thai coworker as one of the best thai foods in the chicagoland area...and now i'm obsessed with this place! the restaurant is a little small but the amount of carry out orders i saw showed just how popular this place is! everything we ordered was super flavorful and some of the best thai food ive ever eaten. we ordered the Nam Crispy Rice Salad( i honestly didn't like the fermented meat (preference for me) but the texture of the rest of the dish was so good), eastern Thai Sausage (now one of my favs), khao soy extra sour(a definite must!), prik king moo krob which is crispy pork with green beans, and of course my mango with sticky rice ... and of course side of sticky rice always... ALWAYS!can't say which dish was my favorite as they were all so so good and some of the dishes were definitely new for me. they don't offer a lot of these dishes at typical thai places (says my thai coworker) so this was definitely a treat! i do think the green beans could be cooked more but that crispy pork for the prik king moo krob was one of my favorites. make a reservation! can't wait to frequent this place more and try other dishes

Be the first to ReplyA pretty classic Thai restaurant.
Well prepared and presented food. Delivered on time and hot.

Probably one of the worse Thai restaurants. I don't recommend especially with other great Thai options around. Asked for spicy did not come flavored at all.

Sticky Rice has been on my list for awhile now, and it did not disappoint. In fact this was one of the best Thai meals I have had in Chicago. I ordered takeout and wasn't expecting the quality to be as good as it was, given the commute time and let's face it usually restaurant food tastes better at the restaurant. Not the case here though - It was excellent. We ordered the Kow Soy, which I'm pretty sure is a dish unique to Northern Thailand. It is a curry-like dish with both soft and crispy noodles. I got it with veggies and there were so many fresh veggies included. The curry has a really unique and yummy flavor that I thought was still distinct from red and green curries. Highly recommend this dish! We also tried the rote gang karee chicken, which was also incredible. It came with a pretty oily roti to dip in the curry, but it was tasty. The curry itself tasted like a massaman curry, and was a hardy dish. Honestly the food here is the definition of "bursting with flavor." I also like that you can specify amount of spice. So good and can't wait to return!

Love sticky rice! This is by far my all time favorite Thai restaurant, mainly because it's pretty authentic. One of my Thai friends introduced me to this place so many years ago.We typically start off with the northern Thai sausage with a side of sticky rice. So good! And then for dinner, I've pretty much had everything under the sun.Parking is a bit tricky. Since Sticky Rice is on Western, there's metered parking but can be challenging. So the next best option is to park in the neighborhood. It's pretty dense but we can usually find a space.
Be the first to ReplyNew favorite Thai spot.
Ordered takeout from here awhile ago and loved it. The pad Thai was made spicy just like I asked and at a good level too. We also got the egg rolls which were okay. Will definitely be ordering from here again and trying some new items.

I had someone named Jon message me through yelp insulting me for writing a review with 3 stars for this place. He stated that he felt "sorry" for my boyfriend for having someone like me who would take the time to write a review. Very unprofessional and creepy. I would recommend people to take your business elsewhere. There's a ton of family owned restaurants with much better food and friendly staff.
Be the first to ReplyHave gone here many times in the past.
Their lunch specials are great. The food is awesome but they are now trying to pull a fast one. They place their to go orders in nice (re-usable) plastic containers. One side is larger than the other side. In the past the smaller side was used for rice, the larger for the main course. Recently, they have switched sides. You get about 2 cups of rice and 1 cup of main course. No one needs 2 cups of white rice carbs. Please don't cheap out by stacking the meals with more rice than the main course. Don't want to start looking for another Thai place to eat.

I went to pick up an online order & I seen everyone just going up to the bags & grabbing them so I did the same but to my surprise the lady working stopped me & said I couldn't be doing that when literally someone before me grabbed a bag & she didn't say anything to him. The lady was being extremely rude & of course racist since the guy before me was white & she seen me as a hispanic & got hostile & told me to stop touching the bags as if the guy before me didn't do the same. The food wasn't even what I expected so I'm very disappointed & won't be returning.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious food and not to expensive.
