Myself and partner came here for their steak night special
Myself and partner came here for their steak night special for $69 a person . (We upgraded some things so paid more ) you receive 2 appetizer's , 2 entrée, 2 sides , a bottle of a choice of two wines and a dessert . It wasn't too crowded; however I did notice that it was pretty crowded at the bar for happy hour . I ordered a filet mignon medium rare , my partner ordered a NY strip medium rare . We ordered Mac n cheese on the side (they were out of tater tots) and asparagus. We had the wagu burgers as an appetizer which was amazing . We also ordered the Caesar salad, which was good. We then had a bottle of their red wine and ordered their strawberry lemonade mock-tails . Their portions were a great size, we didn't finish all the food . The steak was good , however; a little chewy. The mac n cheese was good and the asparagus may have been the best ones I've tasted thus far . The wine was good; if you like dry wine . I don't care for dry .... The mocktail was great . We ordered the Apple pie for dessert which we only tasted because we were full . It was amazing .

Service was terrible! Don't waste your time going for happy hour. The portions are ridiculous! I'm talking a steak the size of your pinky and 1 shrimp! Yes 1 shrimp ! For $18! I'm a fry gal! When I got fries they literally brought me 6 French fries with cheese on it ! On top of that, the pinky sized steak wasn't even cooked how we asked for it to be prepared! The service is HORRIBLE! From the hostess , to the waiters and the manager! We had children ages 5 & 14 with us and the disgusting look she gave them made me lose my appetite ! The place is beautiful totally pic worthy ! ambiance is nice and themed around what's going on at the time. However it means nothing if you're not happy if sitting 45 minutes for a pinky size steak and 1 shrimp! Go somewhere else !
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, amazing staff.
Mikaela was super nice and welcoming. Will come back for sure.
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced for what you get.
Had to send the steak back. Got overcharged for drinks had to bring a manager in to adjust. Just "eh" for the price. Slow slow slow service.
Be the first to ReplyWe ordered sea bass and filet here with Mac and cheese.
And the bok choy comes with sea bass has all the dirts inside. (This is not stain as I tasted the sand). Very disappointed with restaurant with such price. Also when ordering sea bass, waitress asked if we want to add shrimp and the bill ended up showing each shrimp is $12. Note the shrimp cocktail on the menu is just $29. The whole dish in this pic is over $100. If you want to get ripped, please go there.
Be the first to ReplyWe made reservations with intention to do Happy Hour.
We had our teenagers with us. The hostess said children were not allowed in the bar or lounge area. I get that . When seated at our table, I asked if we could at least get Happy Hour pricing on drinks (not the appetizers) since we couldn't sit at bar. I was curtly told no. Well, didn't hurt to ask. We ordered steaks and several sides. No free refills on sodas which was disappointing for $5 each in a 12 oz glass filled with ice. Food was good but overpriced. The waiter was a little cold. Not kid friendly. Save your money and go elsewhere.
Be the first to ReplySTK is A-OK! In the last year, I have heard and seen so
STK is A-OK! In the last year, I have heard and seen so much about STK from friends and social media. It was only a matter of time before I wanted to see what the hype was about, so I did just that. I stopped by to celebrate my birthday in February, prior to a broadway show. Now there is more than 1 location and from the reviews, this one doesn't have the greatest reputation but given the proximity to my show, this was the best option and honestly, I have no regrets. About 3 weeks prior, I made a reservation via OpenTable for dinner at 4:30pm. Upon arriving, I was a bit confused. My GPS led me into a large office building on 6th Ave called "grace" however, I learned later that the main entrance is really on West 43rd street. Nonetheless, "Grace" had a few doormen who were gracious in directing me thru their building and into the restaurant as it seems they get the confusion of patrons often. Upon arriving, the restaurant wasn't packed. It seemed like it was happy hour as most of the people were at the bar while only a few people were having meals. I was seated within a few minutes and greeted by my server, Cam. The restaurant has a nice vibe with beautiful, modern decor. I'm talking dim lights, abstract designs, colored lighting, large flower displays, comfy seating, and great music playing. To start my celebration, I opted for a cucumber stiletto drink. It was delicious and so refreshing; Perfect for anyone who is not an avid drinker but likes a light cocktail. Shortly after, the staff brought a board with fresh baked bread topped with blue cheese butter and a side of pesto sauce. The bread and butter were so good! For one, they paired well and the bread was warm and soft. The pesto sauce however, was terrible. It tasted like grass - I'd avoid it. For my meal, I had the steakhouse skirt (well done) with traditional mac and cheese and a side of yukon gold mashed potatoes. The steak included 1 sauce. I had the blue butter and for an additional $2, I requested the STK sauce. The steak was good. I liked the portion, it was also seasoned nicely, and cooked to my liking with great texture. When considering the sauces, the blue butter was a little salty but it paired nicely with my steak. The STK sauce was alright, it was really just another A1 or BBQ type of sauce. Next up, the mac and cheese was good. Not only was the pasta cooked well, but the cheese was creamy and mildly flavored. I really liked that it had a bit of crust on the top, so when you scooped into it, the steam just poured out. Now, let's talk about the mashed potatoes because they needed work. The texture was that of grits and it tasted like instant mashed potatoes. I was very surprised that they even served that on such an upscale menu. I did not bother to report it to my server simply because I didn't think about it. I was really just enjoying my time and I ended up taking it home. Finally, to end my meal, I opted for the warm apple pie dessert. The crust was crispy just the way I like it. The filling featured soft apples with a sauce-like texture, and the crumble tasted like a blend of cinnamon and brown sugar. In addition, the pie is topped with maple creme fraiche, which was a great compliment. Overall, it was a good meal however, when I think of the price point and the hype, I was not amazed nor did I have anything that I loved, or felt like I've got to come back to STK just to have it. I also don't think the dessert was worth $16. Some of the items could be elevated a bit more but overall, it was a good meal. In terms of pricing, STK is not for the faint hearted lol. Expect to spend some coins! I dined alone and my bill was about $170. I will say however, the service was great and the experience is worth it for a special occasion. In particular, my server Cam, treated me very well. In celebration of my birthday, he offered me a delicious shot on the house (I think it was the strawberry cobbler). In addition, he brought my dessert out with a beautiful sparkler and wished me happy birthday. It made my day all the more special and I really appreciate his effort. Other staff were just as kind, attentive, and professional. All-in-all, I would recommend to others but I don't think I would return to dine alone. It would be on my list of places to visit for a special occasion with a group or a date. It also seems to be a nice spot to connect with co-workers or friends for happy hour as that menu is a good value. On your way out, be sure to take some photos by the large sign or use the photo booth. Big thank you to Cam and the staff for providing such a great dining experience on my birthday!
Be the first to ReplyWe get a reservation at 8 pm and when we get there they say
We get a reservation at 8 pm and when we get there they say they are overbooked so they tell us to go to the bar. After we had been there for 30 minutes they seat people that had gotten there a good 20 minutes after us. They keep sitting people before us so after a hour we just decide to leave. I'm sure that the food was good, but the cheapest steak was 59$.
Be the first to Replyterrible .
.cab couldn't find the restaurant.gave our reservation away . friend had cancer didnt accommodate.will never come back ever
Be the first to ReplyI was not impressed.
Very OVERPRICED food. Basic Steak, no flavors and their STK sauce tastes weird. Didn't do it for me. First time there and definitely last. When asked if we wanted water waiter only mentioned still or sparkling. We picked still next thing you know we're getting charged $18 for two bottles of Fiji waters.

The food was amazing! The 6 oz filet I ordered was cooked perfectly. I ordered truffle butter for the steak. The waiter used a flame blower to melt the butter over the steak! I also ordered the beef rib short rib that was so tender! For dessert, I ordered the chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream. It was a deep dish cookie and was very rich and delicious. The atmosphere was very energetic. The music was a little loud, but wasn't overbearing. The vibe was definitely a great energy. The service was also pretty good. The waiter frequently came to the table to check on us. We had to ask for more water a couple of times but they were pretty that night.
Be the first to ReplyThe interior is beautiful, and the music loud but well
The interior is beautiful, and the music loud but well selected mix. Service and food quality are described through these events: The waiter kept trying to up-sell, while not recommending to share medium or large steaks, and asking if you want butter with your steak (and forgetting to mention it's an extra $12 since it's "truffle butter." ) The appetizers were ok - we had calamari and ice berg lettuce. The steaks were not worth the price (go to Brooklyn for Peter Luger or Gage and Tollner instead). The Mac and cheese side was delicious. A few days later, when a friend checked his credit card bill / account he realized the waiter over charged him by over a hundred dollars. So overall the negatives outweighed the positives.
Be the first to ReplyI unfortunately gave this restaurant a second chance with
I unfortunately gave this restaurant a second chance with the hopes of a redemption but it fell flat. I was really hoping that the first time I came here to eat maybe I came on an off night and although I was disappointed maybe a second chance might be better. I came to visit this restaurant last night for my very close friends birthday and everything went wrong, the bread served to the table was cold and dry The steak i received was incredibly undercooked (again) even though I ordered a medium well it came out rare and my friend whose birthday it was steak was also cooked incorrectly. We looked around and asked our waiter for the manager to see if we could just order something else since the food didn't come out as we wanted and they were no where to be found. I switched steaks with my friend because she wanted hers a little less cooked than what she got and I wanted mine more cooked so it worked out kinda but for a steakhouse I feel like this should be something that you specialize in and have no excuses to mess up especially with these prices you're charging. My friend was really disappointed in her dinner. No one acknowledged her birthday at all even though we had told the staff multiple times. We ordered a dessert for her birthday and they did nothing special to recognize it. Very disappointing. Last time I came here I had a very terrible experience to the point that the waiter was incredibly disrespectful and would no longer talk to me after I kindly suggested my steak wasn't cooked to my liking he completely avoided my table after I brought it to his attention. The most this restaurant offered me was 10% off my next experience to have a more pleasurable time. I didn't even want that to be honest I just wanted people to know how bad this restaurant is on all fronts from kindness, hospitality to food quality and when I came back this time they didn't even honor their 10 percent discount they suggested as well as failure to make up for the last time I came and had a bad experience which they had promised to justify which just lead to another let down. Sooooooo utterly disappointed in this place if I could give NO stars I would. A lot of let downs and false promises. Maybe if they had held their word to making up for a prior poor experience I would recommend this place

Be the first to ReplyDined at STK last week, on Friday, March 17.
My Granddaughter and I were celebrating her 10th Birthday. We walked in without reservations and were immediately seated. We ordered the Filet, which was perfection and cooked the way we asked. Also had the Crab Cakes. Very good. The bread and dipping sauce was amazing. Our waiter, forgot his name, brought a slice of chocolate cake with a "firework" that shot up at least two feet high, on top of the cake. It was fabulous and everyone seated around us thought so too. I was charged for the cake slice which I felt was tacky, especially for the amount we spent. But all in all, we had a wonderful time and our meal was outstanding.*** 4 stars vs 5 stars because of the cake slice charge.

Be the first to ReplyThe worst dining experience in any midtown steakhouse.
EVER. And I've been in this neighborhood since 2008 and tried all of the steakhouses more than once. Here is why:1. The food. The porterhouse we ordered was overcooked, dry, impossible to swallow. It also doesn't come with any sauce, which is fine with us, because we don't like sauces on our steak to begin with, but the server pushed really hard on two different kind of sauces, almost $20 in total, and they were so terrible, we barely touched them.2. The service. The service was soooo terrible. Our server showed up twice the entire time and just rushed through the order and pushed the sauces, and asked if we want to see the dessert menu. A manager looking man showed up once, and asked how was it, but left before we could even answer the question. RUDE! He clearly didn't care how we felt about the meal at all. The The bus boy was at the table twice and add water, that was it. When we asked to switch out a glass, we had to ask three times. Moreover, it was a birthday, which was made clear on the reservation, but they did absolutely nothing about it. 3. The ambiance. It's a nice space, but wayyy to crowed and loud to be considered a nice steakhouse. They put way too many tables and super close to one other. You can't help but hearing everything said at the next table and smell their food.Overall, it's a terrible experience, and I would never come back here again. Not for business or personal. There are so many other options in midtown, why bother?
Be the first to ReplyWe had reservations for 7:30pm, but we were not seated
We had reservations for 7:30pm, but we were not seated until 8:20pm. The receptionist was also rude about it. What was the point of having reservations if you will not honor it. Food--despite being a steakhouse, they got way overdone the medium rare steak. They were willing to take it back and cook a new one, but second was actually worse. The outside was burnt, way overdone than medium rare. It was more like well done. We also waited another 45 mins for them to bring up the second steak. At this point, we didn't want to keep waiting, so ate what they served. To be fair they did took the steak out of our bill, as they should. I would rather enjoyed my steak. Service---after we order your food, we pretty much could'd find the waiter. We would not ever come back here. This is also not a place that you can have conversation. It is extremely loud, you will feel your seats shaking. Don't be fooled by the pictures. It is a pretentious overpriced steakhouse trying to be like a nightclub with horrible food and service.
Be the first to ReplyI came here this evening for happy hour.
For a Wednesday evening, it was definitely bustling, so getting there early to get a seat either at the bar or lounge seating is a must! There is also a bar at the back of the restaurant that was very busy. The DJ was amazing and was giving weekend vibes for a middle of the week happy hour! I tried the "award-winning" spicy watermelon cocktail, and I can see why it has won awards! The combination of tequila, St. Germain and watermelon were absolutely magical! Plus, the spicy rim (I think it had Tajin) was a nice hint of spice! I also tried the slider and truffle fries and calamari, which were both on the happy hour menu. I would definitely say that STK has one of the most comprehensive happy hour specials since it included over 10 cocktails and a plethora of different food options. Overall, I highly recommend for happy hour, just get there early for a seat!

The best thing was the olive oil for dipping your bread, which says A LOT. I took my honey here for a nice dinner. The ambiance was ok - nice and sleek, but it was crowded and loud. Not the best place for a romantic dinner, but a good place to celebrate a birthday. Food was nothing special. Service was terrible. Would not recommend this restaurant.

WE HAD A BLAST. Korine did a fantastic job. The food was phenomenal and the vibe was A1. Pricey but worth every penny.

The wait was insane with reservations but the service we received from Lee made up for it.

Best way to describe this place? If you want some drinks at the bar and some decent music on a Saturday night, or if you aren't really hungry and not planning on eating, this place is for you. The wait for a table is long, the wait for food is long, and odds are the temperature of your steak will be wrong. The dj and vibe is nice though.
