StradaSoNice
First point: the address on this website is incorrect. It should be 825 James M Wood Blvd. Basically: near 8th Ave. and Figeroa. One block over. Website: stradadtla.com. Wonderful location, super inside and outside dining. Ambiance is vibrant and beautiful. Lights on the trees makes the patio magical. Food is out of this world. Nice service, good wine. Could not have been better.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Find Downtown!!! Must visit if in Area :-)
Highlights & Watch-outs
…visited for lunch before the AMA’s…
1 - Great space with a great serene patio to the back
2 - GREAT FOOD … Ceviche, Burger, Salad, Sandwich, Dessert … all fantastic!
3 - Very modest prices for downtown :-)
4 - Great service & friendly staff
5 - For COVID attentive … as said great airy Patio with spaced out tables … but even main room had great ventilation and not crowded
Watchouts
Nothing …apart from having to find parking :-)
Hands down 5 out of 5 Stars in every category!!!!
Absolutely fantastic
Note: this place has moved. This was originally the Strada coffee shop oh, now it is a fantastic, full-blown restaurant. Look for the new address on Google.
Fan-freaking-tastic. I had a very simple dinner--ceviche and french Fry's. Both were absolutely amazing. And the service could not be beat.
Great little eatery
We read about this eatery and took Uber there to see what it was like. Notwithstanding the unattractive location (close to skid row with lots of bums, that's why we took Uber), we were warmly greeted and offered a small sample of meats for our sandwiches. The menu includes mostly warm (toasted) sandwiches, salads, but we came for the Turkish coffee! The owner made an exhibit out of this beautiful coffee cooked in dark, large grain from Africa. It was delicious!
We ordered different types of sandwiches and a salad with duck and were happy with our orders. We were most impressed by the owner's hospitality and warmth. All and all, it was a good place for lunch.
Excellent!
Everything was wonderful. The food was great, and the service was fantastic. The owner brought out several different meats for us to try before we ordered anything. The only downside to this restaurant is it's not in a great area. We walked here from our hotel downtown and were extremely uncomfortable until we got into the restaurant. I would recommend ubering there directly.

Stopped here for lunch on a Saturday and still got very personal service. Delicious gourmet sandwiches and others said the lemonades were great. The barista made me my first sand-brewed coffee. Amazing, smooth, flavorful. Thanks for the experience!
Be the first to ReplyAmazing bread and sandwiches
First time in my life I have actually craved bread. I had a bite of my boyfriend's sandwich last month (I had the ceviche which was also delicious) and could not stop thinking about the delicious crusty but soft bread. We picked a to go order last week and it just intensified my new addiction.
The owner is extremely nice and welcoming. He explained what hot sand coffee is all about and gave a us one on the house! We have definitely found our favorite lunch spot.
Parking is tricky around there so we are going to just ride the red line or UBER from work in DTLA.
Best sandwich experience ever...
My girlfriend and i were looking for a quick bite to eat and stumbled upon Strada. It was delightful from start to finish.
Welcomed into the shop, we were quickly made to feel at home after the owner personalised our experience by finding out our food preferences straight away. After discovering that we were meat eaters, a complimentary tasting plate was brought out to help us choose the perfect sandwich ( of which i'm sure there's a few ).
The aged jamon, wine dipped cheese and tomato filling in a ciabatta roll was incredible. My girlfriend said the same about her Tuna salad sandwich.
The food was brilliant, the coffee was great, the staff and the overall ambiance of this humble eatery were unforgettable.
Strada is an absolute must if you appreciate a well made sandwich.
If you're in the area (or the state) then i strongly recommend you stop by.
