Chris was amazing.
He knew the menu so well and was extremely kind to us. He was a huge part of our enjoyment. The menu was well executed and the drinks were well paired. Thank you!

Having enjoyed many of great restaurants throughout Europe I was very impressed with the the service and food quality of stubborn seed. Our server Stephen and the bartender Eda were extremely kind and knowledgeable. All around great experience. Mike the manager was also very attentive and friendly.
Be the first to ReplyMy favorite dinning experience in Miami.
The food is fun, every course was unique and full of flavor. The staff was phenomenal. Our server, Stephen, navigated us through the tasting menu and made libation recomendations that paired perfectly with our food. Thanks to everyone at Stubborn Seed for a great night.

Had dinner here last year and was blown away! Came back last night and had our same server Stephen! Who promised us "last year" the menu would be different everything from the bread to desert was a new culinary adventure. I can't wait to see what the menu offers next time. Definitely a must when visiting Miami.

The service and food were amazing, also the cocktails really impressed me. We went from a lot of places in Miami but this one is definitely worth it to try.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, Nice ambiance, fun time.
The chef came out and greeted us. Such a nice guy. Try this spot you will love it Sam
Be the first to ReplyThis was a real treat.
Had read about this restaurant and we were NOT disappointed. Everything was great. We could not finish our meal, so many courses. The steak and the snapper were so unique and flavorful. BUT, the Mandarin-basil popsicle...over the top, wait no,....the desert was over the top. We had no room for desert, but we couldn't stop ourselves.
Be the first to ReplyEverything about this restaurant was spot on.
Sat at the bar and had the tasting menu with wine pairing. Truly a special meal. Starting with the bread all the way to the duck and the dessert each course was remarkable. The only reason there aren't food pics is my phone charge was too low! The bar was sexy, service was fantastic. I dined solo but this is a date spot for sure.
Be the first to ReplyProbably the best meal I've had dining out in Miami since
Probably the best meal I've had dining out in Miami since the pandemic hit. The quality of dishes finally matched what I was paying for. The pacing of the courses was spot on, we did not feel rushed nor did we have to wait long between each dish. Portions were hearty as well, we found ourselves getting full by the 7th course. The venison was so tender and perfectly cooked and the maitake risotto was the best I have ever had. I will definitely be back!

What an amazing experience this weekend at Stubborn Seed; i cant stop thinking about it! The service was so friendly and informative about each item on the tasting menu. They spoke slow and explained it well. It starts off with this brilliant palate cleanser that is sweet and sour and also has pieces of sweet potato. I dont want to give away too much about exactly what's on the tasting menu-- you have to go for yourself and experience! My favorite was a moist piece of venison, warm and gooey truffle risotto, and a delicious scallop. All the dishes are flavor pops in your mouth. At $175 per person it is a fun spot, especially for date night, if you are a foodie! Style points for the open-kitchen concept, only the best of the best can pull this off! The ONLY downfall is the air freshener! its so strong it gave me a headache in the entrance! Boo for smelling like a hotel lobby! I've seen this on many reviews, and Im wondering why they haven't adjusted yet.....

Celebrated my birthday here & this spot truly made it such a special experience. I mean they even made a custom bday menu card, it's the little things. Anyways, every single course on the tasting menu blew me away. I truly have dreams about that "foie gras cannoli." The service is incredible - accommodating, friendly, knowledgeable and not overbearing. My favorite. The ambiance is welcoming and homey, not stuffy and uptight. My favorite as well. This is truly a foodies heaven, I can't wait to come back.
Be the first to ReplyWow, just wow.
This restaurant is a must go to in Miami. Started off with cocktails that were hand crafted to perfection. Dinner seating was late but they made up for it by enhancing our experience. If you're ever in Miami and want backflips in your mouth with flavor and ambiance then you should go here! Worth every penny!
Be the first to ReplyHaving dined at several similar concepts (June in Nashville
Having dined at several similar concepts (June in Nashville being my fave) this was by far my least favorite. And, it was the most expensive. Paid for two upgrades - the wine pairing and caviar. So, let's start there. Tue wines themselves were awful and did not pair well with the food. And, every single wine arrived after the dish it was paired with arrived. There was no explanation, no Sommelier to guide the experience and was a HUGE disappointment. The caviar was amazing and overall the highlight of the meal. It's the reason this rating is a 2 star and not a 1 star. The server beside of my table kept perching his ass basically onto my table when he was speaking to his customers. Another major annoyance. The food is beautifully prepared. It feels rushed coming out, however. The duck was the best tasting outside of the caviar. At $500 per person this is the most overpriced meal and experience I've ever had in my life. Spend your money and time elsewhere.

Where do I begin? I made this reservation in hopes of impressing my husband for our anniversary. Disappointed is an understatement. We arrived on time for our reservation, upon walking in, there was no host in sight to greet us, and when someone showed up, they sat a couple that came in after us through a side door. We ordered did the 8 course menu with wine pairing. The portions were mostly bite size, including one kusshi oyster. And a single scallop, which I must admit was very tasty, and perhaps the only memorable dish. I will give credit to the waiter who brought me a second serving after I expressed my delight. For the wine pairing, we were shocked that none of the bottles were shown to us. This would have been helpful in remembering what we had, especially since the loud ambiance and strong accent from the servers made it hard to understand. The waiter service was slow for a restaurant that holds a Michelin star, and some details were missed, such as napkin folding after restroom breaks, not to mention one of our dishes was brought to our table while I was in the restroom. I'm not sure if there is a dress code, but if there was, it was not enforced. The Dulce de Leche cake we got was very good, and I appreciate the gesture for our anniversary. Overall, the experience did not meet my expectations for such a highly rated restaurant. A $600 meal should not leave me hungry and with such bad taste in my mouth.

Did I really spend 3 hours here for dinner? Time flies when you're having a magical time, which I definitely did coming here for the first time. Made a reservation on a whim, was seated as soon as the restaurant opened, and 11 courses later I'm still thinking about the mouth-watering dishes, the superior dining service, and the elevated experience as a whole. We came here for date night, and before I go into detail about my evening at Stubborn Seed, here are some of my favorite highlights about this restaurant: -Inclusion and recognition of all the hardworking kitchen and service staff, whose names are listed on the first panel of the menu (as they should be!). It is so important to give recognition to the hardworking staff who created such a pleasant fine-dining experience. -Semi-open kitchen concept: when seated in the main dining area, you are able to see straight into the kitchen via a giant glass window, and it is a magnificent experience to watch your dream of a meal being created! -Each dish is introduced and served as though it has its own story, from farm/sea to kitchen to table; the servers are extremely knowledgeable about each course, and their passion is palpable! While there is an 8-course tasting menu, we opted for the 11-course option which was presented as follows: -Drinks - "Facundo": pricey but one of a kind -- who ever thought of making wasabi into a foam to top off a cocktail? It made for one extremely tasty drink! -Amuse bouche -Sesame milk bread: one per person -- sticky with honey and served with airy miso butter. -Flight of snacks: Kusshi oyster served with foam in a beautiful oyster-shaped shell (my favorite of the three), fresh and spicy scallop aguachile, crispy beef tartare cannelloni topped with shaved truffle. This trio was almost too beautiful and ornate to eat! -Yellowfin tuna: served raw and balanced with a smooth buttermilk carrot emulsion -Caviar macaron and carbonara egg: sweet and savory and creamy and dreamy! -Mushroom risotto: drizzled with more truffle and a beautiful fresh coulee -Intermezzo: a prelude to the mains consisting of smoothy cucumber yogurt against tart pomegranate tea and hard candied tuile -Butter poached lobster and shrimp toast: well-balanced complementary seafood dishes served with baby leeks -Seared foie gras with seasonal jam with radish textures: an imaginative balance between flavors and textures -Crescent farm duck: the star of the show cooked to perfection -Dessert: a medley of gelato, ganache, and cake decorated like a work of art -Coffee and mini cookies: our server (shout out to Steve) kindly gave us two extra tasty cookies, complete with a napkin that said #FYa, which totally sums up our enthusiasm about this restaurant! I am not over-exaggerating when I say that Stubborn Seed, irrespective of its Michelin Star-studded reputation, has been the most elevated dining experience I can think of during my time here in Miami. If you are thinking of giving this place a try, definitely don't hesitate! I will definitely be back to try other items on its menu, and I can't wait to return!

A fantastic experience! The host at Stubborn Seed managed to squeeze us in after we gave up waiting for more than a hour after our reservation time at another restaurant located a couple blocks away (a restaurant that is terrible instead of prime, in my opinion.) Our server, Cassandra, was amazing. She was friendly, attentive, and did a great job describing the dishes and the wine pairings. We ordered the 14-course NYE special tasting menu with wine pairings. The food was outstanding! I especially liked the Coal Kissed Kushi Oyster, but every dish was remarkable. The venison was sublime; the best I have ever eaten. I highly recommend Stubborn Seed!
Be the first to ReplyWhile I enjoyed the food, management and organization is
While I enjoyed the food, management and organization is completely lacking so beware before you pay the $100 reservation deposit. My husband and I made a reservation for our anniversary in January by calling after open table messed up the reservation. We then arrived at our reservation time and they said they had no record of our reservation despite me calling the restaurant about 1-2 weeks prior. It's fine, they said they could seat us at 9 so we were happy. The meal was fantastic and we paid a small fortune using my husband's credit card. A month goes by and I am reviewing my personal credit card statement when I see a $100 charge from stubborn seed. I am assuming it was the reservation deposit. However, we did go to our reservation, they just didn't have it in the system!!! I guess whoever I spoke to a month prior made the reservation for the wrong date. So they charged me for the deposit since I wasn't there in February....we do not live in Miami, I was not in Miami in February. I can only assume this is what happened although I can't be certain because I can't get an answer from anyone. I called multiple times, was given the email address for Jacob Beaty, the GM. I corresponded with him various times and am very patient as he explains he has to talk to his "finance department." And then...he ghosts me. No word. After paying an exorbitant amount of money for my dinner in January (which I saved the receipt for to prove it), I am shocked they cannot refund me my $100 when it is very clear there was some kind of error. I did dine at the restaurant. I have the receipt. There is no need to charge me an additional $100 for their mistake. It is sad. And now I have to go through the headache of contacting my credit card company.
Be the first to ReplyGreat ! Enjoyed our food and service.
Was very good altogether and would love to come back soon
Be the first to ReplyThe food was delicious.
The main server on the other hand was very rude. His attitude was disgusting. We won't be returning.
Be the first to ReplyWe had a really enjoyable meal here.
Is it worth the price? Maybe, maybe not. It's definitely worth trying once. Makes for a fun little change of pace compared to the typical dining experience. Cocktails we're very good and unique. Service was excellent.
Be the first to ReplyI must say that the ambiance and the service were both
I must say that the ambiance and the service were both exceptional. The dรฉcor was elegant and welcoming and the staff was attentive and accommodating. People watching was also a fun aspect of the experience, with an interesting crowd of diners. However, I was disappointed with the food. I expected more from a Michelin starred restaurant. While the presentation of the dishes was beautiful, many of them were over salted and did not match the price tag. I am willing to pay a high price for exceptional cuisine, but I was left feeling that the cost did not match the quality of the food. Overall, while I enjoyed my time at the restaurant, I cannot say that I would recommend it. The service and ambiance were certainly outstanding, but the price, I would have expected the food to be equally as stellar. I won't be going back.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing experience! We had the chefs tasting menu.
Every dish was better then the one before. We also ordered the wine tasting to go with our meal. Fabulous meal, fabulous service!
Be the first to ReplyCame here late on a Saturday night and missed the cut off
Came here late on a Saturday night and missed the cut off time for their tasting menu. However, we ordered several items a la carte which were all delicious. My favorite item was the tuna (incredibly fresh) and their cocktails. It's a bit pricey but worth it for a special night. Make sure to have reservations and don't be late! I'll definitely be back for the tasting menu.

Having been a fan of Jeremy Ford, this was on our list to visit. From the minute you step in the door - you are greeted without any pretension, but truly feel welcome! We were way early to our reservation - and expected to wait - didn't even try to squeeze in, but asked if we could wait at the bar (ordering drinks only) and without hesitation "of course" was the answer. I literally got on the bar chair, when hostess came by and said, I got a table for you (they had a no show they were holding it for).. Lucky us.And then the experience began! It's a tasting menu, and we opted for the caviar extra - our lead waiter, Ricky's enthusiasm was fantastic in sharing his passion for the food he loves. From the start, each dish was not just beautiful, but complex, and the balance of flavors, delicate and bold at the same time. We were only in Miami for one night - but need to get back here.. We had the wine pairings - and they were good - but my hubby is a somm, and we just were imagining other pairings, even asked if they had a 'kicked up' pairing - which they don't at this time. The pairing was very fairly priced for the wines served, and they all went SUPERBLY! Atmosphere was fun, it was comfortable & casually elegant (is that a thing?) but not a all pretentious. Chef Jeremy and team have earned that star - and wouldn't be surprised if he gets another!I saw negative reviews because of the valet situation - there is no valet - but apparently they are working on it. We Lyft'd - so no issue for us. I am not from the area to know where to park, but this was a non issue for us.
Be the first to ReplyI will summarize the reason for my 4 star rating.
Food: 5 stars!! The tasting menu was Michelin star worthy!! The staff was knowledgeable and you can tell they're passionate and love what they do.Ambiance: 5 stars as well. Not pretentious, but not too relaxed... wife and I liked the "chill vibe".Parking: 3 stars. There is a parking lot a block away, but very limited spaces (we got lucky). At this caliber of a restaurant I would expect valet parking.Price: mmmm, I won't rate the price just because the tasting menu was that good... and value is just too subjective... but if you're looking for economy, you need to think about it... the good thing is you know what you'll pay before making the reservation, so it's not like you're in for a surprise.Overall, this is a very good restaurant and I will definitely be coming back.
