I was just reading everyone's review below and I gotta say, most of the negative reviews seem to be Karen's. I have been going to sushi Erika since it opened, I used to go to Japanese market and have been following chef Erika for a while. While I understand the operation rules are different than what we're used to at an American-japanese restaurant. Sushi Erika sticks to their japanese culture. Most of the time I go, the restaurant is packed! There is usually a line out the door. The restaurant is small therefore they put out some rules, such as no take out orders, no using lap top on tables, a one time order, and so on. While these rules may not be common in America, they are very common in other cultures. When entering sushi Erika, I feel she has brought a bit of Japan to miami. They offer amazing specials, their flavor combinations are bold and umami, and their quality of food has never been altered. I know every time I visit sushi Erika I will receive high quality sea food. I will continue to go to sushi Erika and recommend anyone I can! While reminding them that this is not ur regular sushi spot, but an authentic experience. I went this Sunday with my boyfriend for his first time and we spent $98 dollars ordering 3 special roles, 3 appetizers, and one nigiri order. Diet Coke and sparkling water. To me, that's a steal! If you go down to Nobu you will pay exponentially more for lower quality foods. (Love nobu, it's a different experience).
