Sushi Kashiba Seattle Reviews from The Last Year
Second time here tonight.
Not as great an experience as the first time, perhaps because I decided to do a la carte instead of the Omakase or the Peak. Nigiri were excellent. Had the tempura which was great! No grated radish though, and when I asked for some, it was a teeny tiny bit!. How can you call it authentic if not with daikon??? Maki was so-so. Fillings were great, but the sushi rice felt like regular rice and was falling apart despite being gluey.

AMAZING! From food, to service, to ambiance - everything
AMAZING! From food, to service, to ambiance - everything was spectacular. My friends and I had an amazing time at Sushi Kashiba on a Saturday night. The staff were incredibly attentive as one friend was left handed, so the chef placed her pieces in the opposite order of ours. The food exceeded expectations as our chef thoroughly explained and talked through his selections and process. We had such a great time dining together and getting to know our chef, as well as having the opportunity to meet Chef Shiro himself!
Kashiba is hands-down my favorite sushi restaurant in the
Kashiba is hands-down my favorite sushi restaurant in the US. The vibe of the restaurant is pretty intimate, and the omakase experience is everything. We had a reservation for dinner on a Thursday night, the place was pretty busy as usual. We were welcomed and seated pretty quickly. The hostess even provided a little bag hook for my purse There were 7 total "courses" in the omakase. Servers would provide descriptions for each dish along with recommendations on what to eat first/how to enjoy it best etc. The omakase included a set of amuse-bouche, a handroll, a wide variety of nigiri, agedashi tofu, and soup a tamagoyaki at the end. All the fish is super fresh and tender. I love the fact that each piece comes already dressed with wasabi and soy sauce, so there's no need to dip anything before eating. I also always enjoy the other little finishes that the chef includes, like marinating, topping with fresh wasabi, adding shiso, drizzling with citrus, etc. all the extra flavors really elevated each piece while still letting the quality of each fish shine. With the amazing food, there was amazing service to match. All the servers and hostesses were super gracious and helpful. Overall, amazing place!! Of course it is on the pricier side, but would definitely recommend. Spoil yourself, you deserve it LOL
Felt like I was in an episode of the bear -- the service
Felt like I was in an episode of the bear -- the service was so good!!! And the omakase was exceptional. Such a memorable dining experience. Expensive but worth it!

Sushi Kashiba is outstandingly fresh! I went here for my boyfriend and I's 3 year anniversary and we got omakase at the bar. We arrived several minutes earlier for our reservation at 7pm so we were waiting at the door to be seated. Our waiter asked if we wanted anything to drink before we were seated and my boyfriend got hot sake while I got a Ume-ricano. After a while we were seated and our omakase chef was Kohta. He was extremely polite and a cool chef and I'm glad we got to talk to him while he served us! We got the 21 course omakase and at the end of it I was pretty full. My favorite sushi that Chef Kohta made for us was the fatty tuna, it just melted in my mouth and I've honestly haven't had tuna that good. Other favorites were the geoduck, which was very crunchy and the uni/scallop. The uni was so fresh and juicy, like it came straight from the ocean. Sushi Kashiba was my first omakase experience and it was well worth it for the end total. (r.i.p our bank account) Definitely would come again! Kashiba really knows how to create an environment where you are comfortable and cozy while enjoying some of the expensive eats of the world!
Best. Dining. Experience. Ever! I came here for my 3rd
Best. Dining. Experience. Ever! I came here for my 3rd anniversary with my girlfriend with a 7 pm reservation at the sushi bar. Since we've never had omasake before, we had somewhat high expectations coming into the restaurant, and boy, did it deliver. The staff was incredibly professional and courteous; they handled everything with a smile and great attention to detail! We were asked to order our drinks first before they walked us over to the sushi bar area. They sat us at the very end of the sushi bar, where not only we were able to see the sushi chefs preparing our food right in front of us but also the entire view of the restaurant! Our sushi chef was Kohta, a very kind gentleman who had been working at Sushi Kashiba for 20 years. In addition to preparing amazing food for us, he did not shy away from having a good conversation with us. We got along with Kohta really well! The entire 21-piece omakase experience lasted for 1 hour and 45 minutes ($175 per person). It's very hard to choose which ones were my favorite because every piece served to us was incredibly tasty, Kohta even explained the kind of fish and where the fish was imported from. What stood out to me was the uni, because unlike other times I've had uni, the uni here was so juicy that it cleaned out my entire palette! The best part of our dining experience was when Kohta gave us barrel-aged sake on the house to congratulate us on our anniversary! That was an incredible gesture from him and I will never forget his kindness. The omakase experience at Sushi Kashiba is easily the best dining experience I've ever had and I cannot wait to come back soon!
4.5*. Nicely situated with the courtyard at the Inn.
4.5*. Nicely situated with the courtyard at the Inn. Surprising airy and upscale space. Minus half star because not forthcoming w sushi menu and while all the fish is super fresh, not all fish will appeal to all palates. Wife and I had the Omakase which is a LOT of food. The champagne and pinot noir paired very well with the meal--thanks to our waiter for the assist. Our waiter was very descriptive , helpful and critical to eating things in the correct order. The first course consisted of sashimi x3, mushroom cap w salmon/egg pate (much better than it sounds and very creative), and scallop w green onions. Next was an amazingly flavored simple toro hand roll. Followed by many different types of sushi--all fresh but not necessarily all in my flavor house (not a geoduck, sea bream or japanese scallop fan). The steamed egg w king crab in dashi was fantastic and nice change of texture and temperature. The miso and sweet tamago served w sake was a nice finish to the dinner. The Peak menu is a slightly less expensive tasting menu without the exotic cuts of fish. Those dishes looked really tasty also (our surrounding tables enjoyed that option). Definitely worth the money and probably the hype but would not repeat the Omakase strictly because not all fish worked with my taste buds.

The fish and the service were great! We liked the food, how knowledgeable our server was, the ambience. This is a very pricey place. For the worth of the food we don't think we will return though.
I was pretty disappointed with Sushi Kashiba's food given
I was pretty disappointed with Sushi Kashiba's food given the almost $400 price tag for two people (without drinks). I'm sure the fish was very high quality but a lot of it tasted bland. Some of the choices, like the clam nigiri, were questionable and challenging to finish. I probably enjoyed two thirds of the nigiri we were served, but nothing blew me away compared to what I've had at much less expensive restaurants. And compared to my favorite high end omakase places, Sushi Kashiba fell short. I'm leaving two stars because the service was very attentive and the ambience was nice.
Great omakase experience
We wanted to try some great sushi while were were visiting Seattle for Christmas and we chose Sushi Kashiba because of the great reviews we had been seeing. They were right. It was a wonderful dinner. We chose the omakase experience at our table (rather than the chef counter). It was 7 courses. The waiter told another table that there were 15 pieces (all the courses except one had multiple items). But our count was more like 22. The 15 may have been just nigiri. It was really delicious sushi and and genuinely memorable experience. I am very happy the we did it.
Excellent Sushi Experience; Costly
The wife and I enjoy our sushi. We have been wanting to try Sushi Kashiba for quite some time. I made reservations nearly two months in advance and would have forgotten about this dinner if not for the reminder. We had seven courses of the finest sushi experience either of us has ever had. I cannot tell you everything we ate, but it was all exquisite, perfectly crafted, and delectably filling. We enjoyed our waiter. His patience, enthusiasm, and attention were first class. We thoroughly appreciated our dinner. We each chose the Omakase, which we knew was $150 each. Two beers and a cocktail were $43. Final soup course was $36. 20% Service Fee equaled $75. Tax on the bill took dinner to $501. I really do appreciate an excellent dining experience and this is certainly one of those. I absolutely despise a mandatory service fee. Our waiter told us the service fee would be on the bill before bringing it to us. Nevertheless, it taints my overall experience and will keep me from visiting more.
Great experience fresh sashimi and sushi
We are more about Sashimi so skipped their sushi bar seating package. Ordered the sashimi patter several nigiri sushi’s and a few tempura cooked dishes. Food was fresh Jordan our waiter was great at suggesting different entree dishes and we left happy.
Delectable experience
Four and a half-stars for the amazing meal at this establishment...unbelievably good and a must-do if you can get a seat at the sushi bar or a hard-to-come-by reservation in the dining room. While we weren't lucky enough to enjoy the omakase experience at the bar, I can write that the hot and cold a-la carte offerings were outstanding. Everything we ordered was excellent but some of our favorites included: the sashimi poke, the rex sole, the black cod and what might be one of my favorite dishes ever, the sauteed geoduck. Heck, even the tempura was flavorful and perfectly prepared. Sushi Kashiba is one of those rare 'can't miss when you're in town' places.
A fine dining sushi experience. Tough to get a reservation so plan ahead.
Wow! What service from Jordan J who helped the 4 of us choose our meal. We chose the Peak that covered a number of different sushis. Jordan explained each dish in detail and each piece of sushi was absolutely divine! We also had a bottle of Sake that Jordan helped us choose by asking what we liked in a white wine. This visit to Sushi Kashiba is one that we won't forget in a long, long time! The best sushi ever! A fine dining experience!

Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it? |
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid? |
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted. |
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from? |
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered? |
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.

Give the best answerUnsold listings bug?
Idk if this is related to the unsold listing % rule but I have listed 6 reservations and sold 5 of them and my unsold listing percentage is ~45%. For some reason the unsold listings have not been converted into sold ones. Does this happen only after the payment is released following the booking or is it an issue that needs to be addressed?

Give the best answerHonest review of AT and advice to new joiners
Forget trying to snipe reservations online by waking up early and booking top restaurants at Carbone or Tatiana or Cote or 4Charles. After 2.5 months of booking reservations by setting up alarms, waking up early to sell appointments. It’s very hard to cash out on this app. During cash out, you have to pay $5 fee +3% transactions fee and max payout per day is $150.
Advice to new users:
- do not mass book reservations
- fill bids only
- don’t try to book reservations online, you need connections and call the restaurant
After putting in about 40 hours of work, I’ve made about $750 sale on this platform but gotten paid $0. Take this with a grain of salt.

Am confused about the payout restrictions. Have nearly $1k sitting, wanted to withdraw some and am surprised to see I can only withdraw $50. Have opened a ticket regarding this, but any input or advice would be appreciated

Has anyone found a way to get a question answered? From what I can tell there is no way to get in touch with anyone that works at/for AT. Other than the occasional admin posting a consultation offer here and there they are non existent. A lot of people have the same issue I have where we cannot cash out earnings. I cannot get my warning medal removed even though I am under the threshold. Sad to say but seems like AT is holding up everyone’s funds currently. Very scary and makes me wonder….Please reply if you read this admins and can help. Tried every way possible to get in touch

I accepted a bid for a popular restaurant in Los Angeles only to receive a phone call shortly thereafter informing me that the reservation had been canceled due to it being listed on AT. I of course need to subsequently cancel the reservation on AT but get this warning that my status will be negatively affected for doing so. I've reached out to customer support about this several times with no response, not sure what to do in this station. Hoping someone can advise.
