Sushi Masaaki Singapore Reviews from The Last Year
This was one of the best omakase experiences in my life!
This was one of the best omakase experiences in my life! Actually scrap that: one of the best food experiences in my life. As a lover of Japanese food, I try to book an omakase whenever I am in Asia as I think the art of Japanese food is difficult to replicate outside Japan but I know that some places in Singapore manage to reach the same standard as their Japanese counterparts. Well, I can tell you: Masaaki by far exceeds the expectations! My friend and I went for the Sakae menu which is pure bliss. I have no way of describing it. Every single thing is executed to perfection and leaves you wanting more. Even though it is 8 courses, it is iust the right amount of food: leaving you wanting more because it was so amazing but still having you feel satisfied by the variety. In addition, the attention to the service is perfection, they have staff that is always there to help without being overbearing. Definitely recommended!
Exquisite sushi.
A very exquisite sushi/shashimi dining experience. A little costly but worth the money . It has only 10 seats and 2 dinner seatings at 6.30 and 8.30pm. All courses prepared before you by highly experienced and innovative sushi chef Masa. Book way in advanced - at least 2 months. Recommend the Ren menu - no choices except for 2 sets. A place for a special evening.

Prepaid Reservation Fee

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
